Do you have any suggestions on improving the quality of ESA fonts? The font I have used is pathetic! I had just digitised the letters individually & I wasn't satisfied with the result so I went to the same font in ESA pre digitised fonts. The ESA fonts came out MUCH worse than my hand digitised font! Also; can ESA fonts be thickened up without having to break apart the font & widening the letters individually to make a bold version of the letters? I'll get the name of the font I used a little later, I'm not near my machine & Hatch takes a looooooong time to load!

Peter Brown it would help to know the font in question, is it one of the fonts that comes with the software?

Hi John Deer's Embroidery Legacy, sorry but I appear to be in error. The font is Courier new but, it's actually a TrueType font from Windows that Hatch has auto digitised. The ESA font that is in the patch I'm making is fine. What happened was that I had been through nearly all of the ESA fonts the come with Hatch & none of them had the serifs found on the designers choice font of Courier Bold. I'd become confused after trying so many fonts. Hatch doesn't seem to be able to find the secondary & tertiary fonts embedded within a multi font .ttf pack like the Windows courier new font. I needed the bold version. I was only able to select the non-bold version which came out with skinny, poorly shaped letters. What I was trying to figure out was how to get the letters thicker so they would form better. I didn't mean to dis the ESA fonts.
