    The center on the "bottom" of the battery is a positive terminal, so the battery has both + and - on both ends. Having both terminals on both ends enables the use of accessories, like Nitecore's TSL10i (4-color signal tailcap), the ML21 magnetic lantern (just magnetically attaches to the battery, directly), or MPB21 magnetic charger/power-bank adapter.
    Yes, it's all very proprietary, but very useful, too.

    I have this light and love it, would highly recommend. Thanks for adding the fact that turbo is meant to only be used sparingly and in spurts. I love how you press down on the mode switch for instant turbo then release and it’s gone; wish more companies integrated turbo in this way.
    Great review! Thanks!

    Great & thorough review, as we've come to expect! 😊🔦👍
    I've owned the P23i for around 6 months now, and for me it is the best of all worlds in a flashlight, and I own a stable of around sixty. One thing to note is that the bezel according to Nitecore, is hardened steel to withstand striking and the balls are ceramic to the best of my knowledge.
    I hope you continue to review this brand as there are many top-notch lights which I've purchased over the past 10 years at least. I hope you get a chance to check out the P35i LEP. 👍

    I actually have the p10i with the proprietory battery... wasn't keen on it but changed my mind when i found out what it could do...
    They sell this cap thing that includes
    1. A "baton" diffuser thing that allows the battery to function as a batton, or a lamp
    2. A charging thing that both charges what device is connected to, or is used to charge the battery...
    Pretty nifty... and the charger helped me a whole bunch of times, charging my phone/or other equipment for my job!
    And since its small, i put it in my small work pouch to carry with my up buildings etc, and leave the powerbank in the car
    Also, not sure if it was a special offer or something but i got a really nice holster with my p10i, not the type you got...

    The equivalent ACEBEAM flashlight models have a dual button tailcap, but they use a standard 21700 cell.
    The ACEBEAM flashlights use a coaxial tube structure to carry the necessary connections, instead of the modified 21700 battery, which has a cathode and anode at both ends.
    The modified 21700 allows the (-) terminal of the driver to connect to the (-) of the battery with a two centimetres long connection, and the ON/OFF control travelling as signal, saving on the electrical resistance of the power switch. With 15 Ampere flowing, the proprietary battery (a modified 50E) sustains the 3000 Lumens output very stably and without adding more heat. I say this while being ideologically opposed to proprietary battery solutions. But the ACEBEAM lights have lower efficiency because of the coaxial tube which allows the use of a standard 21700 cell; they went for the freedom. The answer to this, is the old motto: "Get both". Sure we will...

    Just got mine today and loving it! What’s so cool to me about it is that you can see this thing is really slamming out as much light as possible. It’s like a souped up hot rod of a light who’s only goal is max performance until physics step in and it has to dim down a little. There’s probably lights out there that handle heat better but I love this thing’s character and performance

    When you test flashlights on the street, you always compare them to others. The flashlights never appear and I can't tell which flashlight is being tested. It's really cool to include an indication of which flashlight is on in the edition.

    Hello Sir, did you try to charge it because mine will charge only via supplied cable. Also, does blue LED stays on even after removing tail cap (courtesy of custom 21700)?

    I was looking for something to compete with the Rovyvon S21. I thought this might be it seeing as it has a longer range by 70m, but I switched off once we got to the over complicated mode switching, loosen the tail, click this, re-tighten - thanks but, I'm out.
    Is there anything better than the Rovyvon S21, I don't think so, already checked Olight.

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว

      The S21 is extremely good, especially if you prioritize UI simplicity. I really like the Warrior 3S, but the beam is floodier on the Warrior 3S. Sounds like you’ve already got your flashlight in mind!

    • @marko9912
      @marko9912 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cheule I only saw the video of it the other day and it stood out above others I've seen. The S23 before it is floodier like the Warrior, and I like you can switch between flood or spotlight too. A simple switch side to side for main beam or strobe is so easy as well, compared with what you showed on the Nitecore, was a big put off. There's only one video of the Rovyvon so far I think, would like to see a few more!
      Also considering going a level higher with the Olight Marauder Mini, go crazy!

      @@omegarad123I have the 23i and the mh12pro. These 2 to me seem to run real close. The 23i handles the heat a little better. The 23i is more white which for me seems to illuminate an object further the the mh12pro which has a slight green tint. Cant go wrong with either.

    Fenix is able to make dual tail switch without signal tube or proprietary battery, so there's no excuse for nitecore to do it.

    • @michael_the_chef
      @michael_the_chef ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally true, with some Kind of pcb in the tail cap this should be possible no need for a special battery. Great flashlight but i hate that battery. Are there any Adapters out there to use regular flattop cells?
