KCS Safety Starts Here/La seguridad comienza aquí with a SD70ACU and a KCSM Grey Ghost on CPKC 231

We had to be up bright and early for this one! CPKC 231 pulled into London very early on this day with a special tribute unit. KCS's "Safety Starts Here" locomotive was part of a four-locomotive lashup. Usually a Grey Ghost in a lashup is enough to get us both out to the tracks; but the Grey Ghost trailing was only a bonus on this lashup. Martin just made it down to the tracks at William Street as the gates went down for a final yard move. I had a bit more time to wander down to St. George Street. What you see here are two clips of the train. First, we have Martin's shot of 231 reversing back into the yard at William Street. Second, we have my wider view of CPKC finally getting underway over an hour later to leave London for Windsor and eventually Gibson, Indiana. It was a slow train, taking well over 8 minutes to pass my spot at the start of the Windsor Sub. I edited fortuitously to bring down the length of the video for your enjoyment.
