Impressive. Shop looks organized and kept clean and maintained. Why was the buzzer going off?

ACLTony To warn staff that a locomotive is moving into or out of the shop

David Othen Thank you. Makes sense as I can imagine that a locomotive horn blast inside that shop would very likely blow out or damage some ear drums!

ACLTony Even a locomotive bell might be hard on the ears.

David Othen Yes, good point. A shop building that high and wide with big smooth walls will provide PLENTY of reverb for loud noises. A continuously ringing bell would become annoying very quickly.

What time do the trains run in Dartmouth

Kyle Tourneur Usually 408 from Moncton arrives between 3 & 5am and departs as 407 between 6 & 8 am. 511 leaves Dartmouth yards about 7:30 am and picks up empty gypsum cars before going to the mine at Milford arriving there about midday and returning about 1 our late arriving in Dartmouth about 2:30pm. The local switchers to Burnside (503) leaves about 7am and works there until about 1pm and then returns to Dartmouth Yards before getting a new crew and going to Autoport.
