What about screen recording software as source video? Using higher or lower bitrate better for speed of rendering? H.264/HEVC codec or AV1? Talking about 1080p at 60FPS source footage.

@@Gosunoob higher Bitrate is better. Av1 and HEVC is already an Export Format. Maybe try to record in MOV :) this is better for editing. MP4 HEVC AV1 is a Format for Playback and data friendly upload.

@@JonackFilm Thanks for the answer. I'm recording in 50Mbps. Exporting for YT in VBR 28Mbps with max at 50Mbps. The point is that a huge number of people are doing a similar thing. Recording with Geforce Experience in H.264/HEVC or AV1 and then editing that footage and rendering it. I've seen my wife renders it much faster in Filmora than I do in Vegas and it's bugging me. 4 min. video for me takes 2:50 to render in Vegas, while she takes about 2:00-2:10 to render. I was always wondering why that is. And I know there are many factors in play for this so it's really hard to find the very best settings setup.
