It’s strange how a short haired breed can shed SO MUCH.
Double coated.
Extra waterproof coat. Spring and autumn is crazy
My black lab is going through it right now. It's crazyyy hairs everywhere, constant brushing and sweeping around the house lol
My lab sheds more than my sheepdog!
They have double coated, because they beloged to very cold climates
It would be super awesome if you could link the tools used!
pretty sure you could be combing for the next 10 yrs and fur would still come out. Our lab fills buckets with his fur 🥲

Lol yeah. My lab pup always grabs his leash and parades it around the house in exitement before he let's me put it on lol
They’re smart-ish
I have 3 labs. One is an old black lab and isn’t happy if you try and brush him. One is a young red lab who is untrainable and you have to muzzle to brush him. And one golden lab who tried to get in the way of the others when you brush them so that you brush her instead
No dog is untrainable
I wish my lab would sit still like this for just 5 minutes
This is very very impressive. I’ve worked with loads of dog groomers and never seen anyone dedicated this much time and effort to deshedding a lab. I hope you were paid well for all that!!!

That groomer really went over and above. That's some really time-consuming, tedious work, that I probably wouldn't do but WORTH EVERY PENNY.👍👍👍👍

We had a chocolate lab when I was growing up. She was a great guard dog and she got huge. Lots of brushing. They are beautiful dogs.

We live in Hawaii, a hot and humid climate. I use a shedding blade on my Lab a couple of times a month but it never occurred to me that I should be thinning his undercoat. Thanks.

Okay so I have a 4 year old lab . I have a question . I used to take him to the groomers before COVID hit but haven’t anymore . So my question is. He has allergies to some type of ingredients in his food . I’ve tried switching him around and I have him on salmon rn . Which has helped . He just sheds so much and he starts to smell after a week or 2 after I bath him . I bath him with a special vet shampoo but my question is …… can I trim him ? He’s a indoor dog . I take him on walks but he’s never outside by himself. So he doesn’t get exposed to the sun too much . But I been wanting to trim him . Not shave him completely but trim him . Is that okay?
I’m so sad that labs shed but after living with my friend’s golden retriever, I will never be able to deal with shedding again :( Maybe I’ll get a labradoodle brother for my goldendoodle

the furminator worked great with my yellow lab. it looks like a rabbit exploded in my back yard two times a year

I am using this model. There is a wider one, but i haven't been able to find it in a store. Great toll by the way

Furminator, be sure to get the correct size and you’ll love it. Just rake down the back towards the tail and you’ll be surprised how much fur comes off!

It would give them brush burn if used everyday. Use a rubber curry brush for daily maintenance~
