I'm glad your first video on PokeRogue did so well in the algorithm. It introduced me to this awesome take on a roguelite Pokemon game! I'm only on my first run, so all these tips are very helpful. Thank you!
Also seen in your first video, meowth technician fake out is OP early game (lvl 5-20ish). I started meowth, geodude (with egg move body press), and wattrel (for electric moves and speed) and it got me all the way through classic mode on my 6th attempt. Granted, I got lucky with Golem being a heavy sweeper mid game but it's amazing how meowth fake out can carry. Also, leech seed hits like a tank, it takes percentage hp. When I faced the final boss, leech seed did 25% and carried me through fake out stall. Love the entertainment and I'll definitely be using these tips in my future runs! Good luck everyone
Heres another tip: if youre having way too much trouble winning, pick kyogre + nymble/plusle/minun. Kyogre has hurricane as egg move, starts with ancient power and origin pulse that destroys double battles, learns ice beam and aqua ring by level up and can primal revert if you get lucky and aquire the mega bracelet and the blue orb (but not necessary, it clears the game anyway as base kyogre). I actually stopped using it cause I won 4 runs in a row.
funny, this video was posted as I was finishing my first winning run. wish I knew how fusing worked before starting the run, but it worked out well enough. I fused a Feraligatr with a Gurdurr, hoping it could evolve with a link cable... but no, it couldn't. he was still one of my best pokemon by the end, water/fighting feraligatr with guts, bulk up and drain punch was insane update: the second part of the fusion can evolve now
I didn't know the fusion mechanic either, lmao. I tried to fuse a stakataka with a keldeo in hopes of a very monstrous defense stat and a more decent attack stat. But what I actually got was a more weakness mon that didn't do much for the boss.
I got the fusion on like level 4 and fused a pikachu with a bidoof and the only thing it had that was good was pikachu's double team + bidoof's simple ability. Safe to say, I died pretty early on that run.
Helpful Tip, get the candy jars whenever they are available as a rewards. They increase the effect of rare candies. If you have 1, a rare candy increases your level by 2 instead of 1. If you have 2 jars, you get 3 levels and so on. This is great because rare candies do not respect the level cap. Say you are in the final stretch of the game and have lvl200 Pokémons. You can still use a rare candy on them and they will go to lvl 201 and with jars you could get even higher. I got to lvl 204 with 3 jars.
Me with my Lvl 222 G-Max Corviknight who I had been funnelling all candies to for the entire run: =u I also had 3 jars, but my luck was absolutely crazy. That Corviknight was solidly 10 Lvls above the cap at all times and tanked the final boss as I peppered it with status. Crazy part is that the only item it had, besides berries, was its Mushroom. That was my first win today. Corviknight is THE GOAT!
I hatched an Arceus in my first 5 pull of eggs and ive been starting runs with it and Beedrill, beedrill actually pulled a ton of weight in my winning run despite never getting a mega one (baneful bunker was incredibly useful)
You can also press the m key to get into the menu. Also, pickup isn’t really totally random in this game. It takes a random item from your opponent after a battle that they didn’t use up. If you want something non consumable, it’s best to repeatedly use lower damage moves when they are at low health to force them to use up their consumable berries
The early floors are definitely a wall. Rival 2/Wave 25 feels a bit overtuned, without help of decent Eggs (which you can get this early if you roll Gym on wave 20) you kinda need to get lucky with what you get, as by that point you're likely to have only one Pokemon that matches their team and if it's not good enough, it will die and then the rest of your team gets swept. A bunch of my early runs died to that fight, then I got really funny earlygame and I turned my Technician Meowth into a murder machine (Multilens and Grip Claw; it had stolen so many held items that by the end game wouldn't show all of them unless I went into a summary lmao), with the team surviving all the way to wave 195 (where it actually got pretty close to winning). From that funny run got a bunch of Eggs Vouchers, which lead to another murder machine: Parabolic Charge Magnemite (Magnezone with healing STAB move is seriously hard to kill, especially when the rest of the time covers its weakness). After some finetuning, I managed to clear wave 195 (and the final boss) today. Also they rebalanced some things recently, I am pretty sure X Items used to last only 5 waves, and the better Rare Candy used to just give more levels rather than be Rare Candy for entire team.
Yeah the first time I played i lost to the first rival battle because my one good mon was weak to their whole team, and it took getting glaceon (in the third run) to beat her at 25. It was really disappointing especially because I just wanted to get eggs for new pokemon :(
Yeah, true. I'm used to levelling everyone up, so I purposefully only picked mudkip and only then I finally got a decent run. Lost to Cheren on (approximately) wave 110 though, his cinccino was ridiculous.
My classic winning run team - GMax Venusaur, Incineroar, Swampert, Zebstrika, Gholdengo and the GOAT Ribombee. The last fight was pretty darn hard ngl but was fun.
@@ncitlagi4953 Access to Quiver Dance with stat boosts remaining through multiple battles, draining kiss for recovery to save on potions etc, pollen puff to heal teammates in double battles, is fast and does a ton of damage, worth considering given how the mechanics work.

Happend to beat all 200 levels on my 5th try. Hisuian Samurott is crazy, hazards stick around for several levels but go away before the start of a trainer battle. It was so incredibly useful.
Because of you I started playing this and did my first run yesterday. I even beat it on my first try with Blaziken, Venusaur, Primarina, Excadrill, Magnezone and Lokix. I got very lucky at the final battle though and with Ivy. Lokix was the mvp for sure though.
In case anyone finds it helpful, There's a standard 1/256 change of getting a legendary egg from any gacha. I don't know the breakdown for Epic and Rare. From the Legendary up gacha specifically, you still have the 1/256 chance; however, a single common egg roll gets changed into the featured legendary on the machine that day. So, you'll have 2/256 or 1/128 of getting ANY legendary, and it's 50/50 whether it's the featured one or a random one. If you're looking for a specific legendary from Legendary eggs and see that it's featured, go for it. But if you're looking for a legendary that isn't featured, you've got the same odds of pulling it from the other gachas, and the other two have separate beneficial effects.
Yeah lures are risky, but it also increases chances to find Pokémon you want either on your team or future runs. But late game it's rough since they can hurt quite a lot, so it's a risk management thing I feel.
only use lures for early game. the point of lures is to circumvent the lack of exp share in the early game. once you get exp share it's no longer necessary to get lures, not unless you're unlucky with your pokemon
Really appreciate your tips! Maybe now I can get past floors 20-30. I usually die in that range on my runs. I've been hooked every since I watched your first stream of the game! Usually play it on my phone during my breaks at work.
The first 30 floors can make or break a run. If you get something good like the map, a strong pokémon or some good items early like the mega bracelet, it can really help you. The worst part is that it takes a lot of luck and a good run can be swept away simply because you didn’t get an essential item early enough. And the healing items get super expensive. Once i walked into a gym battle on floor 110 and got absolutely destroyed just because i both didn’t get the items i needed and didn’t get the money early on to save for healing before boss battles.
@@sapphiredraggytheflygon8521 Sudowoodo is also extremely powerful. I caught a random boss sudowoodo and it had decent IVs, not insanely good, but not bad at all. It could solo the first 30 floors before falling off. It gets lots of insanely high power moves early on like wood hammer, hammer arm among others. If it were to have perfect IVs i reckon it could carry easily.
Something that helped me at the beginning is starting with mudkip. It learns rocksmash pretty early on n it does wonders for the abundance of normal types
Helpful tip pick up has a chance of stealing the opponents item muchlax being the best user u can have a op snorlax with over ten berries by floor 100 depending on rng
New Update (at least it's different for me since today): When starting a New Game, you now choose the Mode beforehand. Additionally, Endless (and I assume Fusion Endless, I just don't have it yet) now has a Starter limit of 15 Points. Before, and still in Classic, the limit is 10 Points.
Oh dang. I have a run where I'm about to have a fully evolved team before gym 2 minus a Meowth just to gank free items to buff the others with. It's a pretty niche use as a support mon and I love it
I haven't tried it yet but it really feels like a non money grabby gacha game that is just pokemon... thanks for this beginner guide, I'll try them for sure now^^
It’s really good, fun and also surprisingly difficult. An extremely good start is sneasel because it evolves into weavile literally immediately, which carries early game and can pull a lot of weight later on in the game as it can counter rayquaza, eternarus and a lot of legendaries, especially in the rival fight on floor 145 (where the starter is a boss and they have a legendary) as it can do a lot of damage with ice shard, especially if you’re lucky and get an item like the multi lens (moves hit a second time with no drawback unless you have multiple multi lenses)
PokeRogue seems like such a great game. So much work had to be put into it :o When you told me there are fusion pokemon too my mind was blown. What a feauture rich and amazing game. Can't wait to give it a proper go. I tried it yesterday at the end of my stream, but I couldnt get the controls to work and decided to call it a night. I should have just googled it haha. Imma play the heck out of this game! Thank you for the tips, great video :)
would recommend using any pokemon (I use garbodor) with toxic spikes and then crobat with venoshock, very good combo or get an annalihape and get hopefully get lucky that lets your pokemon attack twice, not sure about the chance of getting this item but I've gotten it 3-4x in a row already 😅
A tip I have for people is to run baxcalibur for the sole reason that glaive rush isn’t fully implemented which gives you a 120 stab move with no downsides because the double damage effect isn’t implemented.
Late to this comment section, I want to add something for future viewers. @11:30 ish we go over items stacking, and Hoodlum uses lures as his example. This is actually for all items, not just boosts. You CAN have a single photosynthesis (or any, photosynthesis is just for this example to simulate how broken it can get) mon hold 5 shell bells, 5 leftovers, a focus sash, 10 berries, 4 life orbs and 5 eviolite or any other combination of items. They just keep stacking. If you get crazy good rng on your item picks, theoretically you can be setup to win the run by stage 30. A pokemon with Photosynthesis, rest/roost/recover, Sunny day popped, 4 leftovers, 4 shell bells and a focus sash is basically invincible. Also, since focus sash isnt guaranteed to stop your pokemon from getting KO'd, you can stack as many as you want on to improve the chance of one of the sashes getting triggered. Best part is, focus sash doesnt disappear after use so if you get enough you really can become invincible. Imagine a wonder guard shedinja with 4 focus sashes on it.
Thanks for all the tips Cal. I got my ass handed to me yesterday by the third elite 4 member, I was so pissed. I legit didn't know anything about the fusions, shinies and the egg maschines, since the game doesn't really tell you about those. Thanks again!
I'm fairly sure that if you have the shiny charm, your chances of hatching shiny eggs also go up. I hatched a batch of maybe 50-60 eggs after I first beat classic and about 4 of those were shiny. Note: It does not need to be the same run, but rather if you have the charm when you pull them from the gacha. I of course have a sample size of 1 and perhaps got very lucky, but it's worth looking into.
I just won with a team of gholdengo + amoonguss to kill eternatus, iron hands for the early carry, alakazam for fast sweeping leaders, skeledirge to get me through wild mons and ice fang gliscor to deal with rayquaza. I absolutely love this game
I got a random shiny bidoof in my first run that I won on. I got a Manaphy Egg and a Thundurus egg from the 25 pull voucher that I won on. I found that starting with the legendary eggs to get a bunch of mons with egg moves for a bit and then go into move up you get some insanely strong moves for starters. My Bulbasaur got Sludge Bomb from the get go and it swept the early game hard, alongside Litten and cutiefly (yes the last mon is biased but Ribombee has been a hard carry in some of the later rounds)
One of my favorite Pokemon to start with is Meowth. Technician-boosted fake out combined with the free cash from also-technician-boosted payday is great early on.
My tip would be always catch Meowth early on/fresh save. Meowth gets technician which boosts fake out plus stab AND pay day plus stab. It falls off and as you get better you'll use it less BUT it makes fresh save/early game so smooth.
One good thing to note is that Megas are even better than you realize: they’re toggle-able, even mid fight. It’s really helpful on Mons that change type when they Mega Evolve. Like with Gyarados, for example if you ever wanna drop your dark type from your mega and get the flying type back, you can do that! It’s also relevant for abilities, too? Want Intimate back? De-volve your Gyarados and switch to it. Then you can re-mega them after they’ve sent out.
My meowth carried me through a lot of earlygame due to the stun and money capabilyties. Well, i was on top of pokescince till gen 4. Now i am glad that the typing of all these new furnituremons and vehiclemons is shown in the battle-ui.
Here are my tips. Have leech seed, salt cure and burn or parahax for final boss cause it’s fixed damage Have a fairy type and stealth rocks for final rival fight basically all to counter his mega rayquaza. Stealth rocks are to abuse switch strats. Basically all you really need to know lol
Also the best legendaries I have used so far are kyorge entei and marshadow if you get marshadow that is by far one of the best mons you have in your team you are gonna need to check the nature but marshadow automatically comes with the elemental punches and technician
I can't belive that shiny mons are actually dope Looks like ill be using my buneary & drifloon afterall I still can't belive I almost defeated the final boss with a dedenne
Honestly love this game! I got my first win today with a crazy tapu koko with bolt beak, which was crazy and if you get a garganacal it chunks the final floor so highly recomend it
I always try to get a Zigzagoon with the pick-up ability. If an enemy is even holding an item, Zigzagoon will ALWAYS pick it up after the battle is over. However, trainer battles will only get one item from the whole battle. Not from each Pokemon that was defeated in the trainer battle. That’s where covet and thief will be more helpful.
Another quick tip, if you have unlocked a shiny for a Pokémon but don’t want to use their shiny, you will still gain the increase in luck whether or not they’re shiny. I believe this only works for starter selection though
One of the best mid to late game sweepers in my opinion is drapion. Skorupi is kind of hard to keep alive if you battle with it, but if you keep fell stinger and night slash until it evolves, you have a decently fast Pokémon with night slash, cross poison, fell stinger and a move of your choice(I normally go with toxic for stays and to help catch rarer encounters). It’s fast, fell stinger can get you up to +6 attack with a little maneuvering, and it’s only weakness is ground. Doesn’t even require good egg moves. It hard carried me to the final fight, which unfortunately still wiped me due to the final boss’s typing. Can’t recommend enough.
Floor 110 has been a huge gatekeeper for me, bug gym leader swapping and procs all paralysis/sleep/poison and many mons have alt type moves to sweep a lot of teams. Just recently cleared and saved at floor 130
I somehow hatched a shiny Entei from an epic egg. It has dragon dance as an egg move and it has Moxie as a passive. This dude RIPS through classic mode!
helpful tip: i would do 10 runs and just focus on catching mons, the starters are good but there are certains mons that are broken (meowth being my favorite)
My second 5 pull ticket ever was tossed at the legend up machine. Guzzlord with slack off wasn't the featured pull but HAWT DAYM that beast boost still has me going until the upper 70's without any effort at all. It can learn drain punch xD
i didn't know anything about shiny pokemon here, i thought they were aesthetic as always, but now it seems like im gonna switch from getting move up eggs to shiny up eggs
The biggest tips I can offer are focus on what moves you have money management what items you have on your mons and keeping them healthy if it helps my first and only winning run so far was agislash secptile blaziken clefable marshadow and archaladon and the only reason I won was king shield and sword dance spam and even then I got lucky because the main boss was an I sacrificed five out of the six members of my team
TIP For whoever reads this, a little tip for a broken non-legendary starter mon (outside of steel/fairy combo). Stufful with fluffy. Once you manage to hatch/catch one, teach it swords dance + drain punch (I got the latter as an egg move), invest all vitamins and berries you get on it, and I'm not even joking, it SOLOES THE ENTIRE RUN, with the exception of fire types and the obvious final boss. If possible, I recommend pairing it with a Water or Rock type for the Fires, a Steel/Fairy such as Tinkatink for the final boss' first phase and a mon with Leech Seed or Salt Cure to stall the second phase out. Then for the 2 or 3 remaining open slots are to be filled with Pokémon with type coverage or useful abilities such as Pickup. I got a shiny Stufful from an egg and I wanted to use it on a run for the extra luck. That's how I found out how utterly broken it was. Have fun :)
I just managed to clear 200 for the first time and I didn’t even manage to win with the passive strategy yall mention 😅 all it took was hatching… a shiny arceus with quiver dance. I somehow won. I really didn’t expect this game to be THIS fun after my coworker was raving lol
I just finished my run recently and have gotten close a few times but I will say it was tough for anyone that might need some help be aware the last ten deals with super tough op Pokemon that you cannot catch the hardest rival battle yet with multiple Tera Pokemon with multiple items and health bars and a mega rayquaza not a big spoiler rival is always gonna have a rayquaza
Somehow managed to win my first ever run of the game with some lucky encounters! Had a team of infernape, greninja, blissey, ursaluna blood moon, and two others I can’t remember haha. Hatched an yveltal with wicked blow after that and swept the game with that 😂 really fun game overall!
Man I'm so mad about finding out about shinies through, this video I have a few of them now but figured they were just a vanity thing like in the main games 😂
i got a drifloon with minimize and acupressure and i lost a really good run to a pelipper hitting hydro pump through my +6 evasion and critical hitting me lol
I beat the classic mode after a few tries and it was super fun. Now I'm just looking for more shinys and legendaries (my only shiny is a hoothoot, and I hatched a regieleki, chi-yu, articuno and caught an urshifu)
I just beat the game by using a team of only 3 base starters (I did it with Meganium Incineroar Greninja) and I'm having so much fun with these challenge runs
I have never beatten the game and i have barely any starting pokemon but I have found that flamingo is an insane starting pokemon starting with double kick
If you're looking for a good starter for your run, might I recommend Duraladon? It only costs 5 points and can generally evolve pretty easily because it just needs an item. If you get lucky with your egg moves as well, it has Recover for healing
Another Tipp: You can always restart after Wave 10,20 or even 30 if you only had shitty items in shop One time i was very lucky i got after the first battle the mega Band and after a few more already 3x XP booster which will carry you alone
It was VERY useful thanks. Also has anyone noticed how you can take away more than one bar on bosses if you pummel enough damages to one shit the boss ? Is that intended or a bug ?
Take the Map every time you see it. Being able to choose your next "route" and pissibly modify your team or have an easy time. The earlier you get it the better, but I haven't had a run where I didn't see it with 30-50 floors, if not sooner.
It's still always worth taking.l, if only for being able to manipulate easier runs. For example, if I want a chance for a quick and easy run, I'll start with an electric type. Get the map easily and try to get a water biome as early as I can. Once you get on to a Water biome, you have decent chances of staying on a water biome. Lots of Water and/or Flying types you can easily 1 shot. As long as you have something to cover for Ground, you're pretty much set, as long as you build up your supporters.
I got a cindaquill and totadial fusion (I know I spelled that wrong but idk how to spell it) so the fire water Pokémon before the first rivel battle with an egg move being fire dance it was insane and I think this might be my best run
I obliterated two runs with dragon dance Gyarados as the main sweeper. One of them I had a garganacl with leech seed support and the other I only had leech seed stall with 2 turn moves. Leech seed makes eternatnus so free.

I used calyrex shadow rider with ditto game was free
funny, this video was posted as I was finishing my first winning run. wish I knew how fusing worked before starting the run, but it worked out well enough. I fused a Feraligatr with a Gurdurr, hoping it could evolve with a link cable... but no, it couldn't. he was still one of my best pokemon by the end, water/fighting feraligatr with guts, bulk up and drain punch was insane
update: the second part of the fusion can evolve now
I didn't know the fusion mechanic either, lmao.
Boltund and Heatmor...
It made bolting slower and made it fire electric. I stayed away from it in future runs
Me with my Lvl 222 G-Max Corviknight who I had been funnelling all candies to for the entire run: =u
I also had 3 jars, but my luck was absolutely crazy.
Legit story of my life. I bring krickitune. Underrated as hell
We love our bugs
@@Robin_hsr12 bringing my wurmple, because I can bring it and 3 starters or something else
I brought a beedrill and caught a shiny venomoth on the way and fused them together. They somehow ended up getting worse 💀
It was really disappointing especially because I just wanted to get eggs for new pokemon :(
dude meowth is super good it's crazy
Agreed, I managed to get Paldean Tauros and Indeedee on one run and I don’t know how I’d get far consistently without them
Yeah, true. I'm used to levelling everyone up, so I purposefully only picked mudkip and only then I finally got a decent run. Lost to Cheren on (approximately) wave 110 though, his cinccino was ridiculous.
I tried my first run this morning and had a rough time, lost on the gym battle at 20. Did kinda have a shit team tho
My classic winning run team - GMax Venusaur, Incineroar, Swampert, Zebstrika, Gholdengo and the GOAT Ribombee. The last fight was pretty darn hard ngl but was fun.
how can the ribombee be op?
@@ncitlagi4953 Access to Quiver Dance with stat boosts remaining through multiple battles, draining kiss for recovery to save on potions etc, pollen puff to heal teammates in double battles, is fast and does a ton of damage, worth considering given how the mechanics work.

Happend to beat all 200 levels on my 5th try. Hisuian Samurott is crazy, hazards stick around for several levels but go away before the start of a trainer battle. It was so incredibly useful.
How do you evolve into Hisuian?
@@asscrackb4ndit Hisuian forms were basically made into "is it day or night" split evolution
Because of you I started playing this and did my first run yesterday. I even beat it on my first try with Blaziken, Venusaur, Primarina, Excadrill, Magnezone and Lokix. I got very lucky at the final battle though and with Ivy. Lokix was the mvp for sure though.
pretty impressive you beat it with all 3 starters, i usually died around floor 10-20 with only starters
@@ncitlagi4953 I think I got extremely lucky though. Cause afterwards I tried 2 more times and failed pretty quickly.
But if you're looking for a legendary that isn't featured, you've got the same odds of pulling it from the other gachas, and the other two have separate beneficial effects.
getting a technician scyther is a great way to make the early game easier on you and its pretty solid throughout the rest of classic mode.
I feel like lures just make things worse as they make your team take more damage I've gotten my entire team to lvl 200 without using any lures
Yeah lures are risky, but it also increases chances to find Pokémon you want either on your team or future runs. But late game it's rough since they can hurt quite a lot, so it's a risk management thing I feel.
If you have good moves for doubles it could be a saviour since it gives so much Exp early.
only use lures for early game. the point of lures is to circumvent the lack of exp share in the early game. once you get exp share it's no longer necessary to get lures, not unless you're unlucky with your pokemon
imo lures are Endless item coz like, it helps ALOT if you're shiny hunting. Otherwise yea, you can survive without them easy
Lures increase exp gain and increases your chances of finding strong party members
Really appreciate your tips! Maybe now I can get past floors 20-30. I usually die in that range on my runs. I've been hooked every since I watched your first stream of the game! Usually play it on my phone during my breaks at work.
One suggestion: try and find a Flamigo, it basically solos the first 50 floors
@@sapphiredraggytheflygon8521 it is super op in early game
New Update (at least it's different for me since today):
When starting a New Game, you now choose the Mode beforehand.
It's a pretty niche use as a support mon and I love it
I pulled a legendary egg yesterday from the shiny up! Love this game!
I haven't tried it yet but it really feels like a non money grabby gacha game that is just pokemon... thanks for this beginner guide, I'll try them for sure now^^
It’s really good, fun and also surprisingly difficult. An extremely good start is sneasel because it evolves into weavile literally immediately, which carries early game and can pull a lot of weight later on in the game as it can counter rayquaza, eternarus and a lot of legendaries, especially in the rival fight on floor 145 (where the starter is a boss and they have a legendary) as it can do a lot of damage with ice shard, especially if you’re lucky and get an item like the multi lens (moves hit a second time with no drawback unless you have multiple multi lenses)
flamigo and kricketot are good. flamigo starts with double kick, and kricketot evolves into kricketune at level 9
Ben playing for weeks since I first saw this a few months ago. This game just keeps getting better. Its really good.
mega-beedrill is a carry, with adaptability. i can’t wait until fell stinger is fully implemented, at the moment it doesn’t increase your attack :(
PokeRogue seems like such a great game.
Power up punch nymble is my goat. Mentioned it in a stream. Still yet to beat 190 though.
Dont always get lures, double battles can be atrocious at times, they will leave your team crippled most of the time, only take them late game
i’ve noticed tepig and bisharp are a great combination to start with on a run, defiant with a +atk nature has carried so hard
A tip I have for people is to run baxcalibur for the sole reason that glaive rush isn’t fully implemented which gives you a 120 stab move with no downsides because the double damage effect isn’t implemented.
my highest was 156 I WAS SO MAAAD FIN’S DAMN RAYQUAZA PISSES ME OFF EVERYTIME
Stufful has been pretty rad for me so far lol. And Meowth with technician/payday is such a vibe.
I of course have a sample size of 1 and perhaps got very lucky, but it's worth looking into.
thumbnail has that "LEVEL 100 MAFIA BOSS" energy
pretty comprehensive video even if I HATE megas grr snarl grr
that is not a mega that a Gigax Venusaur
Dude, I'm jealous. My bulbasaur has giga drain which is good somewhat but I need a poison stab for God sakes lmao.
@@trystinbrown2965 yeah it's either get it from the Gacha or hope the tm for it shows up in the shop. On my winning run I actually had both happen XD
Have leech seed, salt cure and burn or parahax for final boss cause it’s fixed damage
Have a fairy type and stealth rocks for final rival fight basically all to counter his mega rayquaza.
Stealth rocks are to abuse switch strats.
Basically all you really need to know lol
Mega Evolution can be deactivated, as can Gigantamax - I found this out for myself when I had to switch my Blastoise from GMax to Mega
this game is so unbelievably addicting bro
ive so far only managed to floor 100 in classic mode before kartana kicked my ass rip
kartana is very rare find in forest. you shoulda caught it.
Also the best legendaries I have used so far are kyorge entei and marshadow if you get marshadow that is by far one of the best mons you have in your team you are gonna need to check the nature but marshadow automatically comes with the elemental punches and technician
I can't belive that shiny mons are actually dope
Looks like ill be using my buneary & drifloon afterall
I still can't belive I almost defeated the final boss with a dedenne
Sick thumbnail bro reminds me of those level 1 thug level 100 mafia boss mobile game advertisements
Floor 110 has been a huge gatekeeper for me, bug gym leader swapping and procs all paralysis/sleep/poison and many mons have alt type moves to sweep a lot of teams. Just recently cleared and saved at floor 130
Always love the info. Helps a lot of people I'm sure and glad to see the sprites updated too
I somehow hatched a shiny Entei from an epic egg. It has dragon dance as an egg move and it has Moxie as a passive. This dude RIPS through classic mode!
Literally after this, I did the egg gacha and got two rare, 1 epic and 2 common.
The sound effects remind me of Pokémon reborn makes me want to play it again
helpful tip: i would do 10 runs and just focus on catching mons, the starters are good but there are certains mons that are broken (meowth being my favorite)
TIP
For whoever reads this, a little tip for a broken non-legendary starter mon (outside of steel/fairy combo).
I really didn’t expect this game to be THIS fun after my coworker was raving lol
thank you all the tips, i had no idea shinies had a function !! thats so sweet
I've been enjoying the streams while i also do my runs, and again, thanks for showing me this game
so long as you have room in your party, 12:00 you can catch the wild pokemon like zigzagoon if it stole an item and transfer it back.
i have beaten classic once and i did it with gmax snorlax, gmax gengar, skeledirge, annihilape, dialga, and kinggambit
7:50 oh, that's why i could hit through magnet rise with earthquake, good to know (and that's why acrobatics doesn't do jack shit anymore)
Correction use lures early game cause you don’t hit level easy during the earlier stages but when get around floor 50 you should be good
Somehow managed to win my first ever run of the game with some lucky encounters!
You should definitely make a video with Endless tips as well
I beat the classic mode after a few tries and it was super fun. Now I'm just looking for more shinys and legendaries (my only shiny is a hoothoot, and I hatched a regieleki, chi-yu, articuno and caught an urshifu)
1/128 are some odds that give me ptsd of a certain sword in another rpg, it’s so annoying to get
I just beat the game by using a team of only 3 base starters (I did it with Meganium Incineroar Greninja) and I'm having so much fun with these challenge runs
I won my first run after I got a Popplio egg with Torch Song. Punk Rock really helped. 😅
Another Tipp:
You can always restart after Wave 10,20 or even 30 if you only had shitty items in shop
One time i was very lucky i got after the first battle the mega Band and after a few more already 3x XP booster which will carry you alone
It was VERY useful thanks.
Also has anyone noticed how you can take away more than one bar on bosses if you pummel enough damages to one shit the boss ? Is that intended or a bug ?
Get pickup Pokemon like zigzagoon so you can get extra items and berries that will help very much
Thank you very much, this was beyond helpful
I'd like to say this game works OKish on my phone too, and because you log in you can keep playing the same run!
Take the Map every time you see it. Being able to choose your next "route" and pissibly modify your team or have an easy time. The earlier you get it the better, but I haven't had a run where I didn't see it with 30-50 floors, if not sooner.
I've had several runs without a map. And one where I got it at floor 58, and then lost to the gym leader at 60
It's still always worth taking.l, if only for being able to manipulate easier runs.
Dragon dance mega gyarados, double team/nasty plot raichu, skelledirge, shiftry, rapid spin sandslash, fearow. First win.
