LOL You are trying to patch an ATV tire... It will not hold atv tires flex too much. Really you are not supposed to patch any sidewall even on car tires because of the flex and centrifugal force will cause it to leak. to The only way to patch atv tire is with a patch plug. The patch part wont seal but its attached to a plug. The plug seals and the inside patch keeps the plug from ripping out. 20 yrs in auto service. Im not going to tell you how to use the tire machine, Im sure you can watch a youtube video for that.
thanks for watching, most of the time guys on the trail just shove a couple plugs in the sidewall and run it. I figured this would be one step better. With these being factory tires, I'm not expecting more than one summer out of them anyways, so this'll be enough to get me by till then. And if not we'll just fix it again. I agree patching/fixing sidewalls in the automotive world is a big no no, but like I said, these probably won't make it past this season, especially now with sidewall damage.
