We've been putting our time in on the Turbo and things are going great. Come along on some upgrades, a road trip, and our first rip on 35's. Special thanks to Jason and Diana @RZRsEdgeInMotion for the tires, this wouldn't have been possible without you.

2021 RZR XP4 Turbo Transmission Regear and Lift install
มุมมอง 211ปีที่แล้ว
Moving forward with the upgrades for this year we get the Ranger low and the Ace 325 gears installed in the transmission. Then moving on to the Super ATV 3" lift and 2" spacers. No 35" K9s yet, so it ends up looking a little goofy at the end. We want to thank @GrimRZR and @SXSGarage along with @SuperATVMedia for their videos on these subjects as they were my instruction manuals for this project.

Hatfield McCoy 2021 Rock House Trails "Trip to the Cemetery"

For our last day of riding we made the trip from Twin Hollow to the Devil Anse Hatfield cemetery. We were out of black trails, so this was an easy day destination ride. We made a stop at the waterfall before making it back to camp.

Due to the rain on the first day we didn't attempt the only Black/Red trail in the Rock House trail system. But today it was at least not raining and we were going to at least see how far we could get. Despite all the warnings that these black/red trails were "for the highly experienced riders only" we headed up.

      Thanks for watching,we appreciate it. So far with the stock tires 70mph is at about 8500ish rpm, so way higher than it should be, or at least where I'm comfortable. In low I hit about 20mph and I had to back out of it because of the rpm. So it's definitely geared way lower than before, but I'm assuming going up to the 35's will bring me back close to my original top speed. It almost feels like I've got a turbo high lifter..lol. I did the math a long time ago (so don't quote me) and I think I had it figured that with 35" tires the machine is only going to feel like it's turning 27s compared to the stock 29". So I think I'll lose a little bit of top speed, but not enough to ruin road riding or hitting the dunes this summer. But time will tell.

      I went the "assembled trailer" rout. But since I didn't have paperwork showing that I paid taxes when I bought the main parts, axles and frame, I had to pay more than just the plate. Other than that I had to get a weight slip for the classification, but there's a grain elevator just outside of town for that. Next time I'm going to make sure I have paperwork for the taxes portion. @@rzradventures6525 ok I recently bought a fifth wheel camper frame to do the exact same thing so I was wondering how difficult it would actually be to get it registered as a utility trailer, turns out a little more difficult than I thought lol, I also don’t have the title from when I bought it, but I purchased it cash through a family friend, I’m going to have quite a bit of receipts from all the extra material I’m going to need to actually make it how I’m going to make it so hopefully it’s enough to get by as homemade. Only thing that sketches me out is the fifth wheel tongue, being it’s clearly not homemade, everything else I feel I can get by with.

    You do not have 1600 pounds of extra on those axles. You are pretty much maxxed out. Remember the trailer weighs something. You have to deduct that from the weight capacity of the axles. For example. You have two 3500's which equals 7000. Lets say your trailer weighs 2500 pounds. That leaves you a 5500 pound load capacity. Not 7000 pounds. If you are already at 5300 pounds, you have 200 pounds of extra capacity not 1600.

    • @rzradventures6525
      @rzradventures6525 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a few different ways to do it. @2:46 I talked about puncturing a hole in the seal. If I remember correctly I just stuck a screwdriver in the hole and pried it out. It came out really easy. Another way is to screw a short self tapping screw into the plastic and use that to pry out on the seal. A traditional seal puller wouldn't work since the axle cup comes out flush with the outside of the case.

    Was this all on Ride Royal blue trails or other trail systems near the ride Royal blue system? I am looking to book a group trip down this spring

      The trip itself was a mix of the two. As far as just this day I'm not 100% sure. That's what makes these videos difficult when your not leading or from the area.

      Thanks for watching, honestly it's just as much for us as it is for you. The kids enjoy being part them, and it's a fun way to remember all of our trips.
