    You won't believe this. But we are at a campground right now.i opened my awning and it tore apart, landing on me 😅🤣.
    I cut rest of it off,and secured to camper.
    I just turned on TH-cam and you popped up showing how to install new one.👏😂💯
    Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
    I will order and try this..
    God bless you young lady🙏🙏🙏

    Just found your videos & love the way you go about doing all by yourself! I was a RV Tech & you have got the talent & patience for sure!
    Just a note on the awning, use a self-tapping screw at the ends of the track channel where the fabric lies in place. (usually through the extra bit of "rod" on the ends)
    This will prevent the fabric moving on the track and bunching up at one end or the other.
    Onto you Full Reno videos after 👍

      Yes totally agree! I must have forgot to include that, sorry 😂😂 I have a whole drawer of mini self tapping screws because I always seem to loose the ones originally on the awning 😂

    Your videos are incredible. ( You almost make it look fun ). It's very interesting to see this project coming along. . You're so capable ! How did you come to be doing these in the first place ? Where did you get your skills ? How did you know what to do first, second, third ? I watch YT videos , then get stuck . Tools needed, supplies needed, demolition ( what to do, how to do it). Did you take a course in wood shop ?

      Haha it’s kind of a long story on how I got into campers (see my video ‘how I gained 100k followers on Instagram overnight.’ But as far as skills, my dad taught me just about everything. He knows everything about everything, and thankfully let’s me ask a million questions and watch everything that he does so I can learn more.

      Check the description for a link to my Amazon storefront. I tried a new brand this time but I usually buy them from recpro!

    I don't quite understand the 15' / 16' thing. Are you saying that for a 16ft span you need to buy a 15' awning? Or is that just for this project? I need to replace an awning that I no longer have, but the old span footprint is 16' and that's what I was going to order. But should I order a 17ft span then? (I don't think they make those, so ...) Sorry to be so clueless.

    • @fallenintocamping
      @fallenintocamping  ปีที่แล้ว

      So if you buy a 16ft awning, it’s actually 15ft. If you buy a 15ft awning, it’s 14ft. Don’t know why manufacturers do that, seems silly to me. Sorry for the confusion!

      If your actual length of the awning is 16ft, then you order a 17. www.recpro.com/17-rv-awning-replacement-fabric-heat-welded-seams-actual-width-16-1/
