A tedious process you demonstrated/instructed flawlessly. Thank you for taking on this explanation for us, because I had been wondering about its utility. You answered my questions. I don't like product in my wigs and IMO it looks to be a lot of effort for minimal results when steam is such a sure thing. I know I don't have the desire or patience to use it, but I am older and simplicity is a priority for me. Thanks again. . .Jan

You're very welcome, Jan! I'm so glad to hear that you found the answers you were looking for.😊 I understand your perspective completely! I also don't like to use products on my wigs and prefer to use steam to style my traditional synthetic fibers. Thanks for your kind comment and for watching!💖

I so appreciate your honest review and demos. Sometimes I fear that (some) reviewers are overly positive in order to support their sponsors and sales.

Thank you so much Michele, you have given us all a real insight into this new tool available through Shirleys wig shoppe, with the good the bad and the ugly, where your poor Zara lite, had gotten damaged and I am so glad you were able to salvage her using the Steamer, which is a marvellous hack. Think the styler would be a bit too much for me, with the exacting timings etc and my hands being bad, so it's saved me buying it, when it would probably have been sitting around for quite some time, not being used, but sure it will be great for others, as I just like to keep things simple for me personally. You really are an inspiration to me with all your videos and it helps me so much with my wigs, can't thank you enough, for taking so much time, to demonstrate and go into depth about how products perform, whether it good or not so good, saves us all a lot of money too. Need our wigs to last as long as possible, so anything that helps, save us from getting the wrong tools, or buying the right, with your candid advice, is invaluable.

Thanks so much for your kind words, Errol!🥰 You're very welcome! My fellow wig wearers are always my first priority. I'm so thankful that I was able to save my Zara Lite!😅 I understand your decision completely. Buying wigs can get expensive! I'm with you - I like to find ways to extend the life of my wigs and avoid methods, products, or tools that can shorten the life. Thanks for your comment and for watching!💖

Michele, this was an excellent video. Thanks for the clear and concise tutorial. I doubt I'll be buying this tool because I don't like styling my wigs. I'll stick to my steamer and hot brush.

I was considering this product after watching on Frannie’s Hair but after your video I don’t think I would have the patience or skills required, it looks a real faff. Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for reviewing this tool. I'm also new to this wig journey and am starting with Manhattan from Belle Tress. i purchased this tool to fix the face flopping on this wig and give it just a little volume. I'm very nervous that i might have just thrown away all this money. i do hope the volumizer works. I'm not thrilled about "baking" in hair spray into a new product nor do i like the idea that this is a final sale and that if you dont like it you're stuck with it. Under those conditions, you'd think it would work great the first time. Hmmmm . . . . Thank you so much for this review. i hope they make the tool available for other wig reviewers as well. 😊

You're very welcome! Great choice - Manhattan by BT is such a pretty style!👏 Just in case you haven't seen it, here's a link to my full review for Manhattan where I show how I like to steam the fibers on a block head to give them a little lift in the front and keep them from flopping in my face
(no hair spray needed) - th-cam.com/video/aqsjRn9gtL8/w-d-xo.html. Hope this helps. Also, I'm sure we'll see more reviews for this tool soon!💖

Thanks for this tutorial, Michelle. I’ve been watching a couple of Envy reps demonstrating, and they both said that plain synthetic wigs don’t need any water or treatment of any kind, use the tool on medium heat, low air flow and hold the curl for 20 seconds, with a cool shot of 20 more seconds, then release. This is quite different instructions and I’m very curious to try it myself. The most concerning aspect is the no water or heat treatment portion of their instructions, but I have a few pieces I’m very willing to potentially sacrifice!

You're very welcome, Dava!😊 Oh wow, that's very different from the methods that are outlined in the instruction booklet that comes with the tool. Good luck, I hope you love it if you decide to try it!💖

Thank you for sharing. This helped me. I do not think I will purchase that tool. It is very expensive and I like using steam for my synthetic and foam rollers to get a curl and have great results, and my heat friendly I like my Lange tool that has fan to cool and sets curls.Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!

You're very welcome, Kathleen!😊 I like using steam on my synthetic styles too!👍 I have heard that steam with foam rollers or Curlformers are a great and safe option for curling synthetics. I might need to give those a try! I have also heard good things about the Lange tool for heat friendly synthetics. So far, I have only tried the TressTech Cool Flow Dual Styler. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!💖

Sadly, I bought this tool and tried it on two wigs. One did ok, was not thrilled with results. The second one, I singed as you did. I was devastated. I was able to return the styler for a full refund. I used just off the boil hot water and an eyelash comb to tediously repair the singed parts (they were in the same exact spot as yours).
Such a disappointment. The wig I singed was an Envy wig.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that!🤗 It's such a shock to see the singed wig, isn't it!?! I'm glad that you were able to get a full refund and thankfully it sounds like you were able to repair most of the damage. Interesting that it was an Envy wig, you would think that the styler would at least be safe for Envy's fibers! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!💖
