That figure is nicer than the original one that came out during the TMNT craze in the early 90's when I was all over those suckers like a fly on crap. I was like, 10-11 and I couldn't get enough of them, I remember blowing half my birthday money one year on a Kraang figure with the giant exoskeleton and it had really limited articulation, the elbows didn't even bend.
This thing should've come with that Krang body that kind of reminds me of the two legged ATAT (I know it has a name but I just had my daily shower and it's calmed me down to the point where I'm too lazy) that way you can alternate between bodies like he kind of did in the show
You should do a bootleg review of the Dreamex Newshen figure. It's basically a 1/6 April O' Neil, and it was supposed to be part of Dreamex's official 1/6 TMNT line, but they lost the license after releasing Casey, Shredder and the turtles (all of which are awesome). April had already been in development, so they just released her anyways under a different name XD
I'm going to let you guys know, you are going by the term third party by video game consoles. Third party producers of video games have approval of the main company, they have their games approved to be distributed by the parent company. Maketoys, Fansproject, etc. have no license with the parent company that owns the IP. That means they are bootlegs, even with original design, they are taking a property they don't own or growing a brand based off an IP without permission as they are intentionally tying in with an established property. Now, that doesn't mean you can't buy it, but it also doesn't mean they are licensed distributors of the IP they are selling.
Heh, 3rd party figures has also been going on in the 1/6 scale action figure collectibles for ages, as we have seen with figures based on sin city Dredd 3D and recently Mad Max: Fury Road.
Whoever's making the 'classics' tmnt figures should buy this mold and make a bit higher quality, with hands that snap on better and such, but don't change the design at all. Or scale.

This was absolutely the best Krang figure until Neca came out with Toon Krang Android Body. if you want Toon style , Neca is the way to go but if you want a stylized Krang then you can get cerebral..

This is how Krang should've looked in The 2016 Movie! He looks like the perfect mix of Kraang Prime from the 2012 show and The 87 Krang!

Turtles In Time put Mazinger Z's Jet Scrander on Krang's android body, so I think this is entirely plausible!

Having a different mold only means it isn't a bootleg. I have plenty of TMNT knock offs that used their own molds.
