Its a parry more than a shield. But I agree. They added some code that makes enemies detect the shield so they don't attack. Happens too often to be bad timing.
This is even more evident because ranged still attack, because they are not close enough to get hit.
As a Zhongli user, I can confirm you can unexpectedly teleport out of domains whenever you use your burst.
I can confirm this as well as another Zhongli user-
2:28 i love how noelle's shield appeared on zhongli... it's her talent/cons when your character's hp is super low her shield will generate automatically :)

Just a reminder, Hu Tao's dash doesn't give extra I-frames, she has the same I-frame duration as everyone else. BUT her dodge does make it easier to know when the I-frame starts and ends, thus make it "easier" to I-frame attacks

The "dodging your wishes" really hits close to home. I lost my first 50/50 since I started playing on Yae :'D I did so much farming for her and she said, "Bye Felicia."

I rolled 300 times for a single kuki shinobu, I got three 5 stars, and almost c6 every character and couldn't get a single one until the last day of the banner. It was so painful 😭

While fighting Childe's first stage, I would just use Yoimiya's charge shot and just go either left or right. I was just the right distance so that his ground water wave attacks just barely missed me.
As a ganyu player I approve 👍
In Childe's fight I just normally jog. He can't get you with his bow if you jog around him. The only time you would need to dodge is when he used his melee stance.
Yoimiya and Ganyu is all i need…
As childe player I also approve, use it for literally every fight I have him out

Yeah I rely on i-frame dodges in games like this but usually they don't have a stamina meter attached to them so, it's quite a pain in Genshin.
I don't do dodge. First I charged towards the enemies like a madman,and then I dodge.
That's my playstyle. It's an enemy who needs to dodge because i'm crazy

Where they use there ults to dodge cause legitimetly makes you invinsible for some seconds till the burst animation is complete and you dont have to trust by health its full on tank any dps from 1 to 999999999999 dammage

When the childe boss first came out, I used to do this on his undodgeable leap into the air one-shot kill move. Then I found out about using the room boundary to remove his electro mark on you...

I at first didn't realize it, but I very often (accidently) dodge for example arrows when using XIngqiu's E skill-
Other than that I use the ''just walk or if it doesn't do dmg walk into the attack'' dodge
I always use the “Just walk it off” because I main healers so I just don’t care.
This does make it hard on the rare case I’m not playing a tanky character in co-op though

I "dodge" by healing more than the enemy can do damage thanks to Qiqi, and Klee's Q kills everything even if I'm too busy getting hit to attack :D

I love being a Beidou main. The more your shield is hit while using your tallent, the more powerful your attack will be. I always use it when fighting Childe when he goes up in the air and smashes down on you. Super handy.

hell yes, Beidou (and my Noelle) ground Childe into fine paste the first time around. She's never let me down against a boss.

As Xiao main I just use his Q and jump when the enemy is attacking or just run around without knowing where I am going and most of the time while running I just give up and go to the Statue of the seven

i’ve already perfected the hu tao dodge (it’s actually really useful, i remember when mirror maidens used to trap me in that thing that doesn’t let you move away, with hu tao i have no such weakness), but i’m still getting zhongli to become the embodiment of “damage?? what is that??” (at least until i go fight rifthounds and the new enkanomiya vishaps)
Try use rosaria skill to dodge maidens lock, you will teleported behind maiden and bonk her from behind
How do you dodge with Hu tao? I've only been using her for a month and I'm still not sure how to dodge lol
I always seem to die if I use Hu tao in Childe fight with a shield or healer.

Not gonna lie, the enkanomiya vishaps are way easier to dodge (the boss) and less annoying than actual geo vishaps :')

@@glistica tbh i called it a dodge but it’s just her sprint. since it makes her turn invisible for a second, you can use it to dodge some attacks like the mirror maidens’ trap or even ruin guards’ missiles. it’s just about timing it right for it to work. it takes some practice and learning how to read enemies’ attack patterns, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot easier
people usually recommend not taking a healer for hu tao, since she gets a pyro dmg bonus when her life is below 50%, and bc her ult heals her too it’s not too necessary. a shielder however is a must for her, since she sacrifices hp to use her elemental skill, a shield will most definitely help you to avoid her hp getting too low

Yep. As a former Beidou main, I never really dodge most of the time. It's the best when you see big numbers after countering the attack. But after maining Kaeya, I got so used to Beidou that I don't know how to time my dodge anymore. 😅

you can actually use aethers meteor as a cacoon to
deflect missles from ruin guards by aiming the meteor
under aether also you can exit the cacoon easily by just
walking out of it

I normally try to dodge in abilities to get better at it. The I frames are honestly pretty forgiving compared to dark souls. So all that dark souls experience helps a lot
Unless I'm using a shield character like Noelle, I still up to this day suck at dodging all enemy attacks, even from normal Hilichurls. I can however dodge all of the Electro Hypostasis and Dvalin's attacks. I can never dodge all of ice wolf boi's moves without a shield character

I just realise that using burst animation to dodge enemy's attack is not included in this video.
I use Zhongli 99% of the time. I am so used to him that sometimes when i don't have him on the field i almost forget i don't have a shield around me and get surprised by getting attacked by a hilichurl arrow :"D

As a mobile user, it's hard to dodge cause the frame of the phone just swishes everywhere, it doesn't stay still, so i rather like shield and catalyst characters coz they just stand there and bam (like and ningguang and noelle's shield)

Ever since I got Zhongli. I feel like taking damage from enemies is so disappointing and is a no. 1 rule breaker.
