They even hugged him and gave him a standing ovation while Chris stood there all alone by himself - nobody were comforting him. A year later, I still applaud Chris' sefl-control. After the slap, he was ready to retaliate with his right fist. He was ready if the assault escalated but he himself didn't escalate it as many would have done.
Chris was the better man in that moment while Will basically ran away like a coward because he knew he abused his status as on of the best to get away with what he did. Will didn't even had the balls to look at Chris face to face like a man. He just sucker-punched (or slapped) him and 'fleed'.

I'm glad Steve Harvey pointed out the fact that Will was actually LAUGHING at the joke. Then he saw Jada's eyeroll, and all of a sudden he stopped laughing and decided to defend her honor. Well, what's left of her honor ... which isn't much.
I also feel that Will was a coward. The only reason he felt pulled that little stunt in front of the audience is because he knew there was a very good chance Chris wouldn't fight back. Had Will pulled this little stunt elsewhere, it's highly likely that Chris would have fought back. So yes, Will is a punk and a coward.
