Hey Eric, thanks for the tip! I have a question, I had all my blinkers fail and indicator no longer clicks or lights up in instrument cluster…I wanted to test this type of relay to see if it’s faulty to confirm before I buy a new $200 one haha. I’m not savvy enough to do this process I don’t think. Let me know what your testing process is.

You could test the relay by checking for power, ground and an input signal from the signal stalk. If they all went out at the same time though.... my bet is on the relay...
One thing you could do to check is you could get my LED relay. They are pretty cheap. Then you could hook it up like my video (about 6min in). You just leave the black/white wire disconnected. This should give you functional turn signals, just no dash indicator. This will tell you if it was your relay and also get you up and going until you get a new relay.
IMO, I might even check into a shop to do this for you. It would cost you but maybe they would do it for less than $200? Even if they did it for $200, then you have an easy to find relay that you can swap out in the future and save money in the long run. I dont think any new relays are available unless you get lucky so you would be rolling the dice on a used one.
I hope that helps. Good luck!

So you don’t need to do any of this on an e21?

I think some of the early e21s came with a 4 pin relay also. If so, you will need to do it.
