Sculpting Brazilian Jewel Tarantula (Typhochlaena seladonia) Polymer Clay Sculpture_LifeofClay

Arguably the most colourful, beautiful and desirable tarantula species amongst arthropod hobbyist The Typhochlaena seladonia #typhochlaenaseladonia also known as the Brazilian Jewel Tarantula #brazilianjeweltarantula.
A species of Aviculariinae tarantula, subfamily of spiders in the family Theraphosidae and is the type species of the genus Typhochlaena. Its name changed many times and in the end changed back to Typhochlaena seladonia.
Its unique as an arboreal spider, specifically they live in trees and they constructs trapdoors in the bark that act as their hiding place and to ambush wandering critters around it, the spiders jumps out and claims its prize.
Found in Brazilian Atlantic rainforest in Bahia, and Sergipe, Brazil. Importing and exporting this tarantula is illegal Under THE LACEY Act and Endangered Species Act of 1973.
The female Brazilian jewel tarantula leg span can reach as much as 2.5 inches and can live up to 15 years but the males only live about 4 years. Both genders have a greenish Cephalothorax and black Dorsum with 2 rows of six spots, the posterior pair being reddish and all others being yellow. It is also expensive tarantula more or less $500 for a single seladonia.

• 0.8mm bronze wire (for the limbs)

• Soft pastels (for coloring)
• Synthetic fur white (for the fuzziness)
• Nylon bristles out out facial brush ( for the limbs and body hairs)
• Super glue (adhesive for the plastic parts)

For the underside of the chelicerae and book lungs
