It irks me when you Americans call the OG Zyurangers the "Japanese counterpart of the Power Rangers" when in fact SABAN was the ones that TOOK the concept and spun it while giving it the "American way" and re-label them as Power Rangers.

50:03 The costumes for ToQger were simplistic due to their gimmick, which is colour-changing. Red can swap colours with Blue to use his weapon, Green to Pink, etc. Only Orange was exempt from that.
Only reason I could ho estly see why ToQger was skipped was the mecha design... the red train sorta makes a phallic form during the sequence.
@@ECSDaemon Lets be real, all design of this season from suit to mecha are stupid as hell. Not to mention train is only big in Japan, nobody in the West would appreciate the concept of this theme.
@@duongnhdn It would have most likely been down to the train gimmick not being as big in America as it would be in the UK or Japan. In the UK, trains are still pretty prominent, but unless you're going from one city/town to another, it's only in London and similar cities. Meanwhile in Japan it’s everywhere.
Compare that to the US, where a lot of long distance passenger travel is done through planes, not rail travel.

Because in the series they didn't make a roll call, AND WE'RE IN EP 44.
They did one roll call in the movie without the sixth, and they made 2 roll calls in the show without the black

Zenkaiger suits explain. The suits are based on popular Sentai seasons.
Zenkaiser, is a fusion between Akaranger (the first red and first leader) and Big One (the second leader and the first non-red leader)
Zenkai Zyuran, based on the DaiZyuJin (the Zyuranger megazord)
Zenkai Gaon, based on the GaoKing (the Gaoranger megazord)
Zenkai Magine, based on MagiKing (the Magiranger megazord)
Zenkai Vroom, based on DaiBouken (the Boukenger megazord)
Twokaizer, based on the Gokaiger outfits (the most recent popular Sentai)
Stacaesar, based on the Battle Japan outfit (the third Sentai leader)
Why stacaeser attire was designed as so as there is a split between which of the series is the first official super sentai

Fun fact: Both JAKQ and Battle Fever J are actually apart of the Marvel Universe when Stan Lee brought Spider-Man to Japan in exchange to bringing Super Sentai to America.

Donbrothers, the latest season. Despite being a silly theme. It turns out to be the best Super Sentai season so far. Surpassing every Sentai season to ever exist. The plot is so phenomenon that there's no word to describe. Every episode introduce us a new concept. This season only has 7 episodes left but the director still bumping out new concepts and theories. We now ended up with more questions than answers but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's a very good mix between serious and comedy. Here's a character profile:
Don Momotaro (red ranger): A mysterious person from another world on a journey to learn about human emotion;
Saru brother (blue ranger): A homeless, selfish, moneyless (but somehow have a mansion), sacastic person who's job is to give advice and make Haiku;
Oni sister (yellow ranger): A manga artist, on a very successful journey until suddenly she got framed as a plagiarist, currently on a journey to prover herself;
Inu brother (black ranger): A criminal runaway for the crime of killing his girlfriend, but that is not the case as some mysterious force kidnap her from black ranger, the being told him to wait for 1 year if he wants to get his girlfriend back;
Kiji brother (pink ranger): The first pink male ranger, is a company slave loser who have a lovely wife and will do ANYTHING to protect her, even if that means someone got hit by a car.
We also have a sixth ranger but he will be a big spoiler so I won't talk about him.
I would definitely not call it the best season by a long shot, but it is pretty good, okay at worst.

@@andycooper6085 not really, they're the same thing feed over and over again. It has some hype here and there but that's all it has.
Donbrothers however keeps the hype from start to finish and never lose it at all. It always keeps going upward.
Donbrothers do NOT focus on the hero story. It's the first Sentai season to ever do so. The hero vs villain element in Donbrothers is practically almost non-existent. It focuses on something else, the drama. The character development. And the series must be done that way. Sure there are some plot holes but the series is intended to have plot holes from the very start, that's Inoue's way of saying the plot doesn't matter. The director intentionally left plot holes there. That's why it's so amazing. The even the Japanese love it so much Donbrothers is ranked 4th in a Japanese contest.

When the Don brothers appear making their Roll Call, it is part of a promotional video which is "what would happen if the Don brothers were the typical sentai team" since until chapter 44 (and the closest) is in which hardly all they make their Roll Call, or something like that
And also with the gu-busters that do their Roll Call again but that's because it's part of a movie that is also "what would it be like if they were the typical sentai team" it's very random since the originals also come out to help them fight
56:18 What you said about female body type hurts more considering Raptor (the pink ranger) has a widely different body than most girl rangers. Basically she's a robot with bigger thighs and feet than most female rangers. Sad they couldn't have incorporated it into her suit design

This is easily one of if not my all-time favorite things of this franchise. I always love learning these Roll Call, poses and phrases and being able to get them down as close to 100% accurate as possible. Honestly, seen your video and how much you enjoy them makes me want to get back into doing videos for them again lol.
Yeah we've been having a blast delving into the world of Super Sentai! These transformations make us wanna see what the shows are all about!
The ones at 42:10 are the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and boy do i highly recommend this season to check it out, it's my favorite Sentai season, while i would enjoy your reactions to it, Toei is a bit stingy with people reacting to their shows, so, if you at least watch it on your own, then that's fine too, you won't regret it

I just finished the video and you are not wrong on 2000s sentai. Poses were simplified and it's where they really experimented on CGI everything. Like mechas went just CG before it became a mix of the two in the 2010s.
Yeah I remember feeling indifferent about the CGI zords by the time Wild Force/Gaorangers rolled around. It made the robot mode look like it was made of stretchy rubber. Ninjaman's battle mode transformation sequence looked a lot better. Which is crazy considering it predates Goarangers.

Usually, when the Sentai rangers are shot at, the henshin is able to protect them. It just happens that, in that one particular Dekaranger morph, she was just right when the henshin protection ended but before she could evade.

Fun Fact in Kyuranger Ryu Commander (Purple ranger) 54:23 was Voiced by Levi from AoT
Two things you may not have caught. 1. Ninja Black was played by an American so his call out was in American accented English instead of how everyone else did it. So was Kyoryu Cyan for that matter but you obviously noticed him. 2. The Kirameiger pose isn't just being fabulous there's a technicaly point to it. They're making their bodies spell out "Kiramei" in Katakana.
Also on another comment of yours, the Power Ranger transformations are longer to eat up more time in case they need to play out the clock to make up for Sentai footage they can't use like ones that have Japanese actors in the shot or are too violent and stuff like that.

dekaranger, go-onger, shinkenger, goseiger and gokaiger are like the most favorited super sentais, they are like everyone's childhood power rangers and then there is magiranger, gekiranger, go-busters kyoryuger are like not that very popular but also people's childhood power rangers
If it looks like some colors of the rangers show up twice, it's because either the character was replaced or died. Like it was the case with Yellow 4 from Bioman

While Power Rangers was working on Jungle Fury, Super Sentai was already on Go-Onger (Super Sentai counterpart of Power Rangers R.P.M) Power Rangers was always a year behind. A year that was spent working on improving on what was already there.

I agree with the new rangers altered in the west. However, I went back to watching kamen rider and I absolutely love it now.
As a kid, watching kamen rider, I didn't quite understand it and always thought it wasn't cool.
Kamen rider is for adults who grew out of the sentai brands. I understand it as an adult and now I can't stop watching all of the shows.

They didn't adapt Dairanger as by then the second season of toy production was already scheduled and is still using the previous suit so they decided to just adopt the zords and since Tommy was part of the next season they still got time to adapt the white ranger

Saban decided not to use the Dairanger costumes or much of the footage because he was worried that the kids wouldn't have brand recognition if they quit using the Zyuranger costumes (despite the fact that we would eventually start seeing new suits and actors on a consistent basis), and instead paid Toei to film extra Zyuranger footage for MMPR season 2. Of all the times he decided to pay more money, instead of being cheap like usual, and he opted out of some awesome suits and combat footage.
Notice how the Shirukenger doesn’t have an identity in Hurricanger

Battle Japan is Captain America for Japan, Battle Kenya is just Black Panther, and Miss America is literally the Golden Age Miss America, hence the hair look her up

The best part of the Akibaranger call got cut off! Running gag throughout the series is that they never quite get it right.
The Don Brothers are based on the Japanese folktale momotaro the Peach Boy but they're also themed around parties hence the sunglasses the black Ranger was actually framed for a crime and is on the Run buddy even runs away when the cops aren't around what a chicken and yes he's based on the dog from the folktale so naturally I find him very cute as a dog owner myself and this season is the first to have a male Pink Ranger who is very tall by the way and he's married the six-year-old is actually the red rangers cousin and yes I do kind of thank you that they could have done more with the folktale aspect you know having the yellow ranger bee themed around the same monsters they fight because she's based on the stories main villain the monsters could have been related to her in some way but they didn't do that instead they went for the plagiarism angle that they did

Sun Vulcan was the series that Stan Lee wanted to Americanize at the time, but it never came to anything and Zyuranger was the first Power Rangers series adaptation instead.
The American execs should've listened to Stan. They could've made a lot sooner.

From ToQger onward, they left a bunch out and it annoys me, especially with how overly thorough they were before. Those missing include ToQ 7gou, the other two Aka Ningers, ZYUOH THE WORLD for crying out loud, Zyuoh Bird, Zyuoh Condor, Gaisoulg, Ryusoul Brown, and I’m sadly not as versed in the most recent seasons as I should be, but I feel like there’s more.
54:49 its actually a bit insulting to call them persona rangers because instead of stealing the gentlemen theif theme from Arsene Lupin or making his non-canon grandchild the star they actually homage the character. Persona isn't the inventor of the theme.
