Equity and inclusion are essential to all areas of coding and design. Senior UX Designer Kari Goin Kono shares accessibility design principles and strategies to be more inclusive in your work. In this session we will collectively contribute to evaluating digital experiences for inclusion through hands-on product evaluation and discussion.
Kari Goin Kono is the senior user experience (UX) designer with the Office of Academic Innovation at Portland State University and specializes in UX systems design, technology/software integration, and online program design. Her research interests accessibility, usability, and inclusive design on a large project scale for a University student population of around 30,000 students. Her current research agenda is about co-creation and culturally sustaining pedagogy in online courses.
