  • JESUS, SERPENTS, NEPHILIM & YHWH | ALMIGHTY COVER-UPS AND CHANGING RELIGIOUS THOUGHT | PAUL WALLIS (AUDIO ONLY)
How does Jesus fit with ancient stories of star children and close encounters? How does Jesus relate to ancestral narratives of serpentine wisdom and draconian overlords? Who were the Nephilim and is the Tetragrammaton - YHWH - a handle for the Almighty or an Almighty cover-up? And, how can we develop religious thought in a way that allows people greater spiritual awareness and freedom from the trammels of religious group-think? And how does any of this relate to Westboro Baptist Church?? Enjoy these extracts from recent lectures by Paul Wallis as he explores these fascinating themes.

Thankyou Paul...but can you tell me..do you believe that Jesus was the only Son of God the father as part of the Trinity..? Where did the belief in the Trinity come from? Thankyou🙏✝️

Nathanael Barrie - You ask two great questions!
The doctrinal tussles of the early Church, crystrallised in the three great ecumenical councils, were around formularising the divinity of Jesus. Essentially they addressed the question: "How do we describe that Jesus was Son of the Father, god from God, light from Light etc?" These discussions culminated in the doctrine of GOD as a Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The councils regarded their formularisations as being reasonable explanations of the Gospels and New Testament's testimony regarding the relationship of Jesus to GOD.
Perhaps the pointier question is around the uniqueness of Jesus in relation to GOD. How is Jesus different? How is he the same? Was Jesus uniquely son of GOD or uniquely aware of his sonship? Was his participation in the divine nature the same as or different to the "participation in the divine nature" referenced by Peter (II Peter 1:4) and Paul (Acts 17)?
If Jesus was our model, a brother, made of the same stuff as us (Hebrews 2 and 4) and he is the word made flesh, then what are we? The Gospels describe the pouring out of the Spirit of GOD on Jesus. The Apostle Peter, quoting the Prophet Joel says that the Spirit of GOD is in fact poured out on "all flesh." Is Jesus' pattern of union with GOD, incarnation, reunion with GOD, mapped out in the Gospel of John, the same as our soul journey or different?
Who and what are we if not sons and daughters of GOD? In whom do we live and move and have our being if not in GOD? How is that different to what Jesus understood and experienced?
I have responded to your question with more questions. That's because I think the question is bigger than befitting a binary yes/no answer. The weight of my reflections on the story of Jesus in the light of discoveries made in Bible translation (the story of my Eden series) is to do with who we are in the great scheme of things.
Christianity has defined itself more as a religion of worshipping Jesus than of being like him. Through the centuries have perhaps fixated too much on worshipping Jesus with the correct language and too little on being like him. Those are my reflections. I hope that is helpful.
What are your thoughts on this great question?
      Health and Peace,
      Paul

Paul Jesus clearly states that He is one with the Father and states that he who has seen me has seen the Father...to me it is unmistakable of the truth of the Trinity ...as He speaks of the Holy Spirit being the comforter when He departs from the earth in bodily form. Paul, the evidence is unmistakable and now it's time to get strong as it is all out spiritual warfare now...as intellectuals it has been hard for us to end the philosophies and musings and get down to what we must do now in keeping our armour on and keeping our minds and hearts fixated on the battle ensueing...I have been deceived on many occasions ,...but I thank God that He has pulled me back to my senses again...He has done this through forcing me into using my authority is Christ when He sends me infirmities in the flesh to bring fear which is a great motivator...but it has only been to make me stronger in My relation to Him and His power over Satan's schemes over me...mate the main reasons why I believe in Christ as being the one and only Son of God...is because of the very real presence of Satan and his minions in this world..and I have found through experience in spiritual warfare that Christ is the only light and sword and power over evil in the spiritual realm and this realm. I went away from the faith for 15 years and was in Buddhism, Shiva, Krishna, Shamanism, and the new age..my father is an Indian Brahmin who dies the rites of Puja etc...I was actually in half lotus pose in meditation to Shiva when the Holy Spirit came upon me and enlightened me to the truth...it was still hard coming out of all the spirits that had strongholds over my life from that period ..so I kept going in and out of my faith....but now I'm getting stronger and stronger in the Spirit and discerning and understanding ...as the ties to the other religions and new age stuff is now falling away..it's been really really tough going....Ive come under spiritual attack So much..if I wasn't an enlightened Christian..I would have been ruined...all glory to God through Christ...Satan has come against my flesh and my mind with illness and disease...but I knew it was his attacks and the demonic..so I know how to fight him and win through my authority in Christ..I tried all the you are God stuff...it's good in theory...but thats all it is...it doesn't work... And there is counterfeit powers of darkness also we have to watch for. Whether your information on the Elohim is true or not...it doesn't matter esp at this time in history...God showed me all that is just a distraction from really doing what we need to be doing ...which is getting strong in our relationship with God, His Word and the spiritual armour we need in this war...this is war my friend...but we have to balance it out with scripture that keeps us exuding the love of Jesus..so we are not worn out..My friend it is a privilege to be called by the Father of all creation and His Son ..the world is racing to its final close...and the devil is throwing everything he can at the world...and wants to decieved and destroy as many people as he can. May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to know the import of His calling on our lives in these end of end days...the time is short...the Lord is at hand. His return is imminent. Don't leave it too late..pray and ask Him to show you. You seem like a genuine and clever man...but it's the clever part we gotta be wary of..we can be too clever for our own good...and Satan is the Father of Lies..he's more cunning and clever than any human being. Come to the Lord of Glory before it's too late. Take heart He stands at the door...love you my friend. Nathanael🙏✝️✝️✝️

You know, all I've ever wanted was the truth. When I was younger, I really enjoyed the excitement I found in Evangelical establishments but something inside me said there was more. I started studying for the truth, not for faith and I began to see so many points of conflict that I knew I could not find my answers in structured religion. Paul, what you have put forth seems to connect the dots and answers many of the questions I have. It feels true.

As for me, knowing who I am, what's my purpose in this life, what must be done, how I am connected to everything around me, how earth life is like a big school for us to learn and experience is enough for now as a Start. It is better for us to Start Knowing, understanding, discovering our own self before we start understanding things around us.

Thanks for this comment, because I'm thinking of somehow going back to Christianity, even with these understandings, because Christianity maybe makes the most sense for me at this time in my personal history and in world history.
I'm very partial to Eastern thought and practices too. At the same time living in Canada, if I want to practice some faith then Christianity maybe offers many more chances to find a fit.
I really miss the singing of sacred words (the word "elohim" isn't in most hymns, as I recall?) and also the fellowship. Isolation has been an ongoing mental health factor in my life since covid. I don't even mind admitting that, bcs I know it's only too common although maybe we don't talk about it much.
And Christianity is still also arguably the single biggest bulwark there is opposing you-know-what.
That'd be a good question for Paul, (how) can we still have a Christian-type spiritual practice, knowing what we know and believing what we believe? Anyway for myself I feel the pull.

    Greetings Paul!
I've been following your work for several years now & find it to be so affirming...
As a child I learned early on that I could escape napping by reading & my babysitter had a wonderful collection of encyclopedias which was my natural go to once I'd burned through the "children's books" in her home😄
Of course, I was young & loved stories & art, so I naturally began reading about ancient cultures, primarily Sumerian, Egyptian, & Greek---I saw various correlations, but had no one to talk to about my observations...
Eventually, I stumbled upon the works of Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung, Erich Von Daniken, & others as I moved into high school & young adulthood, but still had no one to compare notes w/ since I was living in Utah, which is predominantly LDS (Mormon) though their own sacred literature & personal stories either directly mention or allude to interesting entities & 'magical' devices used by their religious leaders or even ordinary folk traveling in wagon trains or living in our small, rural communities...
As an indigenous female of this continent (North America) I am well aware of the stories passed on in my own Dine (Navajo) culture, as well as those from various other indigenous groups which speak directly of 'Star or Sky People', 'Monsters', 'Giants', 'Little People', 'Cryptids', 'Elements', 'Nature Spirits', in addition to acknowledgment of our innate human abilities to communicate & cooperate w/ other conscious beings including water, wind, rock, fire, plants, animals, ancestors, spirit guides, etc.
One of my favorite conversations in the past two years was w/ my science team (a group of five teachers middle thru high school all of varying levels of indigenous ancestry from at least four different nations or tribes)...
We were talking about 'emergence' stories & how excited we were for the upcoming professional development where one of our colleagues would be sharing stories about the Tohono O'odham culture (none of the four of us belong to this nation though we all taught in the same district)...
I mentioned how I thought we need a new retelling of our emergence stories because I'm not buying the narrative of our people (Dine) climbing up "reeds"
to get into our current world & escape the rising waters & pervasive darkness closing in on them...
My colleague who is also a member of my same tribe asked me how I would change our cultural stories...
I told her that I did not believe for a moment our ancestors were climbing up actual "reeds", but that they were being moved through a portal of some type...
Each member of our team nodded their heads in agreement that this would be a logical possibility & we ended up having a really good discussion of how our ancestors would've used words that made sense to them even though it might sound strange to us in "modern times"...
I can remember watching a program on GAIA some years ago where a biblical scholar was translating words into their true meanings & this changed the entire way one would understand a story---shortly after that program I came across your online channels & I've been a student & supporter ever since...
Is there another word you have come across in your scholarly or religious studies where a "reed" could be interpreted as something other than the hollow plant stem most people envision when they hear the Dine (Navajo) emergence story?
Also, I agree with the appearance & disappearance of cultures that predate our very limited documentation of human history because our indigenous stories tell us that even in our own tribe the people (Dine) have brought about the destruction of their current world due to being hopelessly human which then led to them having to move into the "next world"...
In terms of we Earthlings being seeded or genetically engineered or perhaps refugees from other places in the cosmos, there are some Dine who believe we came from off world (Mars is one of the locations mentioned while others say it is an entirely different star system)...
We aren't the only tribe who have stories of coming from somewhere else in the cosmos because I remember a dear friend & former professor of mine from NAU (Northern Arizona University) sharing a story told to him by Hopi elders about their tribe coming from the Pleiades✨

      Hi Paul,
That Zulu story is so dang cool😎 I definitely need to do some more research🤓📚
My first thought w/ this story made me think of in vitro fertilization due to reeds having a shape like that of a test tube🧪 & the use of the words 'gestation' in place of pregnancy & 'emergence' rather than birth (almost like the characters in 'Brave New 🌎' who were 'decanted')...
Based on my background in biology, genetics, & biotechnology, I have often wondered about the tale of Noah's ark where two of each kind of creature really meant either the gametes (sperm & egg) or the DNA of the Earth's flora & fauna were collected rather than the visual we're always given in classic Christianity where we see a giant ship filled stem to stern w/ animals of all kinds (even those from regions nowhere near Noah's homeland😄)
An ark, vessel, or "ship" filled w/ life forms from an entire planet or even a specific region seems to make more sense to me if those creatures are in their most basic form & easily transportable🤔
Knowing that our creators were capable of genetic manipulation, it wouldn't surprise me if they brought us or other species to Earth in vials of some sort...
I think back to this same Hopi professor of mine, who was also a geneticist, telling me about the high level conferences he attended w/ the best & brightest geneticists & biotechnologists in the world handing off tiny vials of DNA to one another---they would literally be carrying them in their shirt or jacket pockets😲
As an indigenous elder he was shocked at what he considered the lack of respect for life & unbridled arrogance of people who truly considered themselves masters over life itself w/ blatant disregard for the sacred nature of all living beings😞
Perhaps this behavior is nothing new under the Sun though I recall his horror at seeing it firsthand & mine at hearing him describe his experiences...

I want to second Paul’s thanks to you for writing this most interesting story! 20 years ago I visited Serpent Mound in southeast Ohio, which is an earthen mound in the shape of a snake on the ground. I had the very strong sense then that it was actually a communication device the people who built it used to send energy/messages. I sensed that the mound harnessed, concentrated, and manipulated the earth energy there, ley line energy, and sent it off to a star (planet?) in Orion’s Belt. (The serpent’s “tail” wraps into a spiral, and I felt the energy would swirl around faster and faster, and then get shot off into the sky.) I just checked the ‘net, which says it’s in the Shawnee tribe’s homeland. I have no idea who actually built the earthwork…

Thank you, Paul. So much to think about! I have been a serious Christian since i was about 10 years old, but always was aware of a Presence around me. I have had many inexplicable occurrences in my life, now 68 years old. I have come to accept that these occurrences happen more frequently when you just believe. The same for my children. I have worked as a church musician for over 50 years. God literally places songs in my head. If I don't write them down immediately, they disappear. The Old Testament God did not make sense to me from the time I was about 15. No one I spoke to could explain it away. I have known Jesus personally all my life. I believe I was one the children in the story when Jesus, "Let the children come to me ..." I have had glowing beautiful visions of Jesus and He has carried me through many traumas including having cancer twice. Your interpretation in this lesson was revelatory to me. Jesus didn't just come to fulfill the law and the prophets. He came to present God's true nature. I am grateful on this Thanksgiving to understand that you are part of the awakening occurring on Earth. If we have eyes, may we see. If we have ears, may see. May God bless you and your family! ❤️

In my studies, I was instructed that the Tetragrammaton was indeed a sound that became a word, but that the sound was that of an inward breath and then an exhale breath. Ive always held that this aligns with the breath of life given to mankind by the Most High, the one cosmic source, as well as the Ruach in genesis. It is intimately tied to our need for oxygen to sustain life. I also learned that the grammatical meanings of yod hey vov hey in ancient hebrew roots is, yod=love
    hey=life
    vov=add
    hey=life
This dragon connection make a lot of sense too, only with a different interpretation of the sound. Great video! Thanks.

Abnormalcy Bias - Thank you for your comment. That is fascinating. Where did you hear the breath explanation? It is very intriguing. It makes me ponder the great many monsters in Doctor Who had raspy breath!! You could them approaching by the CH-CH sound of them breathing! Of course, Ruach is another fascinating word. Its role in Genesis 1 correlates with the role of the Hawk in the Filipino creation story, the Winds of the Sumerian narrative, and the terraforming craft belonging to the Progenitors in the Popol Vuh as they hovered, hawk-like above the flood waters. I am fascinated by etymology and believe that the root meanings of many keywords in our sacred texts open up a whole other layer of information! Incidentally, re dragons, a Welsh friend in the comments pointed out that the Welsh dragon is always depicted as a red being. The Welsh word for red is C-CH!! (albeit with a vowel in the middle to make it pronounceable!) Thank you again for comparing notes. I appreciate your thoughts. health and Peace, Paul

Why are we here in this Earthly prison kept away from all the great possibilities that lie outside of this Earthly restraint? I like to look up and not just accept the stars because they are visible to me at night, but to ponder why they are there and who put them there? I’d like to know all the answers to my questions NOW and not when I am gone from this earthly “prison!” I am old now, but I have never lost my desire to “ know” what it is I know not! One difference I have noticed between Judaism and Christianity is that Jewish scholars and theologians aren't afraid of their texts. They will deeply explore every nook and cranny of their texts. Whereas Christian counterparts skillfully avoid any reference to certain passages and are quick to suppress any curious enquiry about them. That fear alone should cause people to delve into them more thoroughly as something clearly isn't right

    • @PaulWallis
      @PaulWallis  ปีที่แล้ว

Derek Walker - I think that is because Christianity is built, essentially, on doctrine. Judaism is not built on doctrine in the same way. It exists ceremonially and ethnographically. I find that those elements of Christianity which are oriented more on ceremonial and ethnography produce believers who are less dependent on doctrine for their sense of identity and security within the religion. I am thinking of some of the Orthodox churches for instance. Even the Anglican church, for the most part, is able to live with a great degree of theological breadth. Those are just my thoughts. Health and Peace, Paul

  • @carolwatts5156

Paul, i came across your talks when browsing. They resonate so much. i was educated in a Catholic School and subsequently attended the Anglican and Presbyterian churches until i felt that i could no longer relate to the god of the OT. It was only after i left the church that i started to develop my own independent thinking. I reasoned that god is life itself ( or consciousness) , and that all things that live, animal, vegetable and mineral, have it. I am currently grappling with Jesus as the only son of god, (are we not all sons and daughters of god?) and have reached the point that He was a very gifted itinerant preacher. Your explanation that He was fathered by an extraterrestrial makes sense. But i have yet to come to terms with why "He was cricified for our sins." It seems to me that He took the rap because His disciples deserted Him.. i can understand the story of His resurrection in the context of His being an exraterrestrial. But where does the 3rd person of the trinity fit in? II spent a year in a charismatic community where there was a lot of speaking in tongues, and was left with the impression that the Lord didnt know his own mind. When i left i was more or less condemned to the deepest depths of hell by them (but that is another story.) in spite of all this i am more at peace with myself than i have ever been, and yourtalks have been the greatest help ever. Thank you.

Hi @Francesca Maria. My father was in the same predicament as you and I heard conversations between my mom and dad that he was disliked by the Synod. His last position before he retired he waited and waited to hear where they were going to send him. At the last minute they punished him by sending him to Whoop whoop. When at certain churches that he was positioned, members of his congregation would ask him, "Aren't you worried that your children are not attending church", he would reply "not at all".. 😀 My father wanted us to find this God in our own way and his library would have been considered blasphemous. I'm now 68 and had so many amazing encounters with this almost blinding Light and been told of future world and personal events and been prevented to take on 5 singing positions in Europe when a beautiful radiant loving Light entered the room and said, "Go home Marguerite".. Travelling alone would have brought my life to an end perhaps. 3 encounters with Jesus, a totally different voice and for different reasons, 2 encounters with angels, visions and dreams that have all come to pass ( one example, I told my husband and family 29 yrs ago of this pandemic) and so I thank my father for not indoctrinating me and allowing me to be an open vessel. I know my father was able to reach out in each of his churches to the inquisitive ones and plant seeds for their own searching of the truth. People of all faiths and no faith, agnostic and atheists enjoyed talking to my dad. His door was always open. I felt I should write to you to tell you that you were not alone and I enjoyed what you wrote and so happy that you found Paul. Aren't we all so blessed that against great odds that he is where he is today. I wish you the same success. The more Pauls we have, the better this world will be even though, according to my vision 19 years sgo, it will be very shattering for many. The childishness of many who believe in these somewhat fairytale stories without questioning them will have a rude awakening. We will all be there to support them.

💕♥️💕 ohh how I wish I had a community of people like you close to where I live, Paul. You are such a bright light and I love how you gently, lovingly share all these things. After so many years of being in the church (which I guess I am estranged from currently) I have so much anger about things I was pressured into “believing “ but didn’t.
I wasn’t allowed to be curious, or explore, or ‘become’ anything other than the ‘God following robot” they wanted me to be. I have always “coloured outside the lines” and have paid a heavy price through cruel judgements and harsh teachings. All the anger I had pushed down for so many years has come to the surface
and if anyone in my family mentions anything about God or the Church, I just spew vitriol. I don’t mean to. I don’t want to. But it’s like I’ve been poisoned and I’m just trying to get the toxins up and out. Everyone thinks I’m so “contrary” all the time (I am! 😁) and I keep hearing both directly and indirectly that I just “need to forgive “ and move on. I don’t even know how to do that. I feel the Church has lied to me about so many things and has done (AND IS DOING!) such great
harm in this world. (I do know there are those who are doing wonderful things in God’s Name…I’m just speaking of the institution of Church as a whole here)
Anyways, all this just to say thank you. 🥰 Thank you for being a place I can go to to feel understood and not so alone. You are a blessing to me, ….and your journey, your voice, give me so much courage. With my warmest gratitude, ~L~ 💕♥️💕

Perhaps consider that many people who have carried the Christian narrative forward actually believed it. They weren’t all bad people running around telling lies. They actually do believe they are doing a good and necessary work. There are certainly some bad faith actors out there, but even the people who follow them don’t see the bad. You are traveling a road for yourself…as are they for themselves! They cant hear truth until they decide to listen and think. They may never be reach that point. Look at it like you would if you found yourself getting angry because your five year old can’t write a research paper on quantum mechanics…is that unforgivable? Of course not! It is perfectly understandable.
They are not where you are, and you and they are all exactly where you are supposed to be at this moment. The church is not the people in your life. You can be angry at the organization, but still give grace to the people who have not recognized that there is actually something to be angry about.
And I do understand that inability to not talk about something toxic in your history. But consider that when you dwell in it, you are still giving it your attention, your energy, and your time. You are still giving it power over you and power to control you. You can choose to take your power back.
I’ve found that the only thing I have any real control over, is me…how I automatically react versus how I choose to react. I dug deep into assessing my behaviors and thoughts, and then I traced those patterns back to discover that everything was some form of a fear response, including a lot of my anger. Fear was controlling me and I was allowing it. But fear is just a biological survival mechanism. It is useful when it applies to safety, but humans are very good at attaching it to emotional hurts, to existential threat, to imagined threat…and it does not exist AT ALL outside of biological existence. If fear is telling you to not go pet that wild grizzly bear, listen to it! If it is telling you that you should worry all the time about what religion other people follow, well…not so much, lol.
Hope something in my rambling is useful to you! Good luck!

Amen, sister!! 🙏. And Paul!! I learned a saying a while ago, that applies to our experience, including mine, as I’ve realized the truth of Paul’s experiences and ideas: The truth will set you free, but first, it will piss you off.

    • @ronnie-being-ronnie
      @ronnie-being-ronnie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I want to explain a bit about anger as a fear response, if you’ll forgive my lengthy comments. Anger is a more socially acceptable response, especially for males, than is showing fear, but anger is also a response that is a biological survival mechanism. It allows us to turn fear into a defensive mechanism, to use the adrenaline rush of fear to fight and defend. It is natural for fear to express as anger. Women aren’t allowed to be angry…we’re supposed to suppress our anger, and thus we internalize it and blame ourselves. It makes it very hard to deal with anger and the underlying fears when you can’t even acknowledge your anger!
So why would finding out your religious training, that was at least in part false, be a fear response that you are experiencing and expressing as anger?
Because you realize that it was a powerful part of your life, and that you trusted the church and your family who exposed you to the church with holding your best interests for your life as well as your soul. That made you vulnerable. Recognizing that one has been vulnerable makes one afraid to be vulnerable again, afraid to trust again. It is existential fear rather than physical fear. One feels manipulated, or even used. So the fears turn to a more useful self defensive anger.
And under all that is the subconscious knowing that you gave away control of your life or soul, or someone took it from you.
Wanting to control what happens to you is part of responding to that fear. But life events are not really in our control. Other people, natural forces, happenstance…it all affects what happens TO us without our consent or even our knowledge. All you can do is choose how you will respond to all the random events of life, while setting your own goals. You can decide to learn from what has happened. You can decide to make something positive from a negative. In your case, you could decide to keep telling your experience with organized religion versus spirituality, and how you feel you’ve grown as a spiritual being. There are MANY people who are ready to start that same journey, and YOUR experience might be the one that speaks to them, or your way of telling it resonates with them.
I choose to see anger as a waste of my energy, and also as a trap that made me feel…well…bad. Can you be loving when you’re angry? Can you be rational? No. Think of the language we use: that someone was **consumed” with anger or fear. Those emotions actually shut down the reasoning part of your brain! They literally overwhelm your ability to think.
And the way out of that anger IS forgiveness. But not only for the other party, but for ourselves!
I worked in a dangerous environment. There was a leak that damaged my lungs. A month later, I found out that the people who were involved lied about it, and management was involved. I was SO traumatized by that. I couldn’t bear going to work because it required that I trust them with my life every single day, and I did not…I could not! I felt stupid for ever having trusted them, and I lost my ability to trust myself and my judgement. I physically healed from the incident, but my life and my identity were broken by the lies. I understood why they did it…they were protecting their jobs. But I couldn’t forgive them because I was still trapped in my trauma. I couldn’t face going out, for fear of seeing a coworker. I couldn’t speak of the incident without shaking and sweating with the remembrance of how vulnerable I’d been to people who apparently didn’t care about my life.
So how could I forgive that?!! They never apologized! They didn’t even feel bad about it!!
I realized that forgiving is FOR GIVING. It is a gift that isn’t earned, or maybe even warranted. It is grace. And it was in my power to give that gift. And when I did, I was able to also forgive myself for being a trusting person. I still don’t give my trust so easily as I did before, and that’s okay. I developed discernment.
I chose to become more rational and less emotional. I practiced it. I went online and sought out comments that made me angry. I would start a response in anger and then I would force myself to identify what exactly had made me angry. I would rewrite my response, taking out the emotional parts and forcing myself to analyze the original comment bit by bit. It was far better than dealing with people in person because I could spend the time I needed without any pressure. I could focus on my own emotions without having to deal with the emotions of others. And it kept me from being ganged up on by a group so I could focus on just the one comment and how it made me feel.
It took about a year for this to level out my reactive anger and allow me to notice when I was starting to respond with emotion before it took over. Sometimes I slip, and that’s okay because I’m human and I’m allowed to not be perfect. I lost an innocence that I cannot go back to, but I gained a maturity that allows me to see the world more realistically, and to understand our human flaws with more equanimity. And I learned much about myself as I expanded my experience of being human.
So thank you for letting me tell my story and share what I’ve learned! Growth is painful, but the alternative is stagnation. Chose to embrace your opportunity to grow!
When you forgive you are giving yourself the gift. You are taking back your power.

It has been a wonderful experience listening to this idea. It makes me think more about my belief and ideas. My mother and father were both Anthroposophists who studied the writings of Rudolph Steiner. You mention early on about the people who thought them better than others, they would be called 'eurythmists' in the Camphill Communities, some very nice while others would look down on you.
Steiner wrote a book named 'Theosophy of the Rosicrution'. You spoke of many civilisations on the earth while Steiner spoke of human civilisation moving from one planet to the next, eventually coming to earth.
    A man before his time...
I really enjoy listening to your thoughts and ideas, thank you.

Thank you Paul. I am fairly new to your work and I am trying to get through all of your videos but it will take a while and I can't wait to see the next one. I am so appreciative of your work and background. I graduated from a Fundamentalist Bible College. On the night of my graduation I wrote a poem called "Ashes". I still have the poem to this day and I'm 70 years old now. I knew then that something just wasn't right with all the doctrines and contradictions I saw in the teachings so I called it Ashes. A year later, having returned home to my childhood church, I departed from the church never to return. I pretty much became an agnostic for many years because I couldn't connect the church to God. I didn't realize that the church has nothing to do with spirituality. I am so grateful that God never let go of me during those confused years. For the last several years I have researched the meaning of God and spirituality. I had to settle my argument with the church within myself first though. So the first thing I did is research the early Roman Catholic church history during the Constantine reign and found out how the church was infiltrated with the council of Nicaea around 325 AD. Once I settled that major question I was back on track to resuming and strengthening my relationship with God/Source, not Yahweh.
I am so grateful to you Paul, that you are re-affirming what I have found out with research except you have added so much more that I didn't know before. I will be buying your books soon. Thank you for your commitment and dedication and for making this information free on TH-cam. God bless you sir.

..I grew up in a Christian household and I was the black sheep by 13yrs old I knew there was more it didn't make sense. I was always opem.. Then later in life I had a psychedelic experience as well as UFO experiences and during my trip I had an epiphany to later to find out ita called Christ consciousness.. but I felt one with the source. And even before I tripped, I used to sit alone and sometimes smoke a little weed and things would just come to me..now I know I was always getting this knowledge from the source because we all are individual fractals of the source! My family shunned bcuz to them I might lead them astray and they are told not to research and I'm "worldly" to them, they don't even realize we are being divided bcuz of their beliefs. cuz they think the devil will lead you astray..I wish they'd wake up. Thanks you much gratitude. Much gratitude.💚

Thank you for choosing to do something so right and so meaningful, bc I was raised in the church my Grandmother was a what is called a First Lady ,my family in church for many generations, my whole life. I was molested by a prominent Pastor and Tele Evangelist / so called Prophet at only 15 years old he groomed me and did it using God's name saying things like God wants this to happen, he was God's voice it was predestined, I was a jewel, God knows we will we do before we do it so you should surrender, etc. I have been led by something within no matter what I was told/taught. I knew something was wrong/off. I always felt divinly led and still do. Being in these so called houses of "God" and church with some of the meanest ppl I have ever met, no all but many. Claiming to be speaking for God, demeaning ppl and their potential telling them how horrible they are turned ppl into dead zombies coming and coming to church without having no true meaning change and/or growth I knew something was wrong. "God" wouldn't break my heart, my spirit, take my innocent or tell anyone else to do it and damage my well being. It was a LIE. If it was not for The Source and the divine without me. I may not be here today. So for me I know this to be TRUE. Some of these buildings are evil/bad men/ppl doing their bad/ evil deeds in the name of "God"

In the book of Thomas Jesus says Examine yourself & understand who you are... Whoever does not know self, does not know anything. But, whoever knows self, has acquired the knowledge of the universe". My own experience with this resonates strongly as I have uncovered many hidden layers of myself that I was conditioned during my childhood to feel were unacceptable. Many call this shadow work which I have found essential in discovering who I am authentically and learning to love and accept everything about myself. This healing process has liberated me from feeling unworthy and undeserving which I find is something that the majority of humanity struggles with and why it is so difficult for people to truly love others because they don't know how to love everything about oneself. From this process of knowing oneself it is true that everthing we seek to know and understand can be found within oneself. This is what I believe in is my heart and intuition guide me to reaffirm things I have come to understand from within. And this is where my higher self has guided me to listen to your videos. I share your videos with others to bring forth enlightenment to our understanding of who we are and the power we have inside us!

I'm 73 years old, and at an early age, around the age of 10 years old, I had a deep belief that we weren't alone in this universe. When I was introduced to the bible, it wasn't long before I came across references to beings from outer space. So I have to thank you for having the courage to dig deep into this subject. It resonates within me, and I believe that everything that was ever created contains a spark of the creator \ source. Every atom of our being contains that spark, therefore we have the ability to create all that the creator promised us in our lives.

#REVIEWQUEENLA - Thank you so much for sharing your story. The deep shaming visited upon people through fear-based religion is so deeply wounding and I am so sorry that you have had to overcome such a painful beginning. But what incredible courage and spiritual clarity you had to walk away from it and choose other paths. To respect ones own inner compass and love and accept oneself is only possible outside of the kind of anti-human dogmas that institutional and cultic religions trade in. That your work is in activism and community organisation sounds like a journey of transcening anger and transforming it into love and hope for oneself and for others. I am so glad you found this video helpful and affirming of your own sense of direction. You sound like an incredible person. I have been laughingly referred to myself as a heretic for my entire adult life. Raised in the Seventh Day Adventist church i did my time in their school system. I was very lucky to have a theology teacher who by Adventist standards declared a heretic. He privately believed the Ark of the Covenant was a resonant circuit and likely a radio receiver. In any event he encouraged doing your own research and drawing your own conclusions. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the release of the translations started the whole thing for me. Tell a door to door evangelist that his Bible was compiled in the the 4th century by the founder of the Roman Catholic Church and they will lose their mind! Paul has helped me tie it all together. It is absolute madness to believe we are the first and only civilization to exist on this planet. Example; the pyramids! No way that they got built in the time allotted with copper tools!

I was born into the family of a minister. When I was fairly young, I realized that I had a lot of questions, and that, fortunately, I was in an environment that encouraged questioning and searching for answers.
I accept and believe what my father taught me, which has a lot more to do with how to be a decent person than it does with mysteries. But I quit going to Sunday school because the lessons seemed to me to be myopic, tonedeaf, and un-useful.
The first exciting teacher I ever had came from a series of books about someone controversial whom I won't name here, who described something very much like you do, which sounded right to me instinctively; except that his angels aren't aliens, and I don't like thinking they are. They come from the same consciousness we do (which makes sense if we're GMO apes with improved cognitive abilities....) 😏
Apart from that one word, you're helping to dial up the resolution on my perception; and you're reaching the same conclusion as my mystic, but from the opposite direction.
    I feel good about this.
Anybody who doesn't feel good about me in light of what I've said is just going to have to relinquish control of my salvation. I know a lot about Christian theology, and if my Christianity is different from theirs, there's not going to be much they could do to affect it.
But I appreciate what you're saying. It agrees with what I already believed before I heard you. That matters. I'm less alone now. 🙏❤

It is encouraging to see someone else who is in my shoes. My wife is a dedicated witness and becomes extremely defensive when proving JW wrong. I too see this as not only a false religion but extremely authoritarian. This is so sad, especially when these witnesses truly believe in the resurrection and that "paradise" will be restored. It pains me to see my wife demonstrate such faith that this is going to happen one day because at this point I know this is not true. Raising expectations as grand as this one is so damaging. It crushed me and destroyed my hopes. Hope is essential, and where I stand today, I have no hope. I see the bible being nothing but a story book that has provoked so much confusion over billions of people. Nonetheless, my search for truth will never end. Mr. Wallis fo me as well presents logical explanations. Thank you, Paul, for sharing your deep research.

Thank you Paul! The very topic that nudged me is the question of Salvation. I believe in God, however I do not agree with people within the church condemning people outside or forcing their beliefs onto them, because that would mean planting this Fear of hell. This means even family relatives and friends who does not believe are not saved if they are not part of the church. I still believe and pray, I thank God for my very existence, but I also believe that we need to understand the very Source that Paul speaks, and explore outside the boundaries of what the church believes. I have your book Echoes of Eden and I have yet to finish it, but I'm thankful I am not alone in this journey of seeking the truth!

A MAJOR issue is the void for an objective, reasonable def. of God...
IF, they are All-knowing, Omni-present, and All-Powerful then they're off to a good start
However, folks are appalled to learn He may have lied.
Where is it that that immediately disqualifies Him?

Let me rephrase... Most can't handle the Truth & the rest are in Denial...

What I always circle back to when I think about why we were created, is the fact that it's never explained why we were created. This is the one question, the most important question to understanding our purpose. We just roam the earth doing absolutely nothing😂 we slave for skittles to get made. We slave for blood diamonds to be fastened to bands for marriages. We slave for products to be made that we dont need and so on. It's always the word "garden" that I find myself being drawn back to. What is a garden? Pretty simple to answer right?. You till the ground, plant your seed and water. And so these plants crave water and the sun. But why? Is it just simply to be alive? But plants have purpose, they give us humans sustanance. But what do humans do? If the earth is a garden then are we just food for these gods? They went through such great hard turmoils to get us going. They fought one another over us. They fought for the right to rule us. Enki realized we were to stupid so he snuck a higher level of thinking into us. Now look at the planet and it is ripe for the picking. There is billions of us on this planet. Why are we being grown? And what is its purpose? These beings have the means to take care of themselves. So I doubt we're being grown for a heavenly army. I doubt our soul purpose is to get to worship a being for eternity. I think we know beings came to earth one way or another, but why create us. Just to mine gold? Then they leave us to die out?

They harvest our emotions- and 100% of the people suffer, rich or poor or middle class . Smart people hide the suffering skillfully so, yet behind closed doors not such a thing as perfect family, life, money . Got first million -very soon not enough you want more, because you rotate in the higher circle now and compare yourself to others, whether you like it or not. And you absolutely right , aimless existence, even if one's hold PHD its all useless... I used to believe in god but as I grew older this is all so wrong. Of note, I believe in the loving creator like pure love and light no judgment or jealousy, but it not on this planet, dimension or whatever, overwise good, innocent decent people would not suffer , and look at the people who are cutthroat shrewd businessman , majority of them lie, cheat and steal and got billions at the end, you got the idea...for this reason I do not believe in karma and such... I just can hope after we I gone from the planet I will meet a true loving creator. Life make no cense you one truly think deeply about it. Thank you, if you finished reading till the end.
