I am always shocked seeing Wilt stand next to the PRIME Shaq and somehow IMPOSE himself both by being larger, but also being a legend at the time while Shaq was still making his mark. Wilt was a bigger guy, and I still cannot completely get over it. Seeing the footage of them at 1996 all star weekend iirc... wtf?

Arnold took Wilt to the gym while they were shooting Conan the Barbarian. This was prime Arnold just off winning his final Olympia a year or so prior, Wilt was retired from Basketball. Arnold described Wilt as the strongest man he had ever seen, easily picking up more weight than Arnold. And that was the last time Arnold asked Wilt to train with him at the gym. It's a well known story you can look it up.
You can find plenty of video clips of Wilt picking up grown men the way you pick up a child, putting your hands in their arm pits and lifting up. Wilt was maybe this most gifted athlete of the 20th century.

Shaq is the most dominant center ever but only because Wilt didn't play the same way as Shaq. It was a different time, Wilt did not want to be called a brute and "he's just bigger and stronger then everyone else" so he played the game in a skillful manner instead like doing a turnaround bank shot. Imagine Shaq doing that same kind of shot, people would call him out for it say "why don't you assert yourself inside and go for a dunk?"

Wilt was a great! A true great! A freak of nature! But he was always talking bad about anyone that could be considered greater than him, despite the fact that a lot of people would rank Kareem and Russell higher that’s all time… and he played in their era. Kareem did not play in his era. He was in his last two years when Kareem came in. He was old and still blocked his sky hook at its peak. I have Wilt as second, only behind Jordan. They are the only two superhumans. Remember, they changed the rules to make Jordan's game better. They changed the rules to make Wilt's game worse. He had a mental block at the line. If he could have shot a turn around bank shot, he would have shot 85%.

When wilt was 15 years old in the 1950s...his friends from school would go to his home and in wilts bedroom... he had 300 lbs dumbbells...according to his friends... i dont know if thats 300 lbs in total or twice that amount in two dumbells but 300 lbs for a youngster of 15 to lift is not a small weight by any means....
A few years later before he joined the nba Wilt played with the Harlem Globetrotters the Globetrotters doctor of record states he saw wilt pickup two Harlem Globetrotters one in each hand by their teeshirts and hold them well of the ground...
They both weighed in at well over two hundred pounds each and he said, "wilt could have clashed their heads together!"
Wilt would have relished the opportunity of going up against Shaq, if he could move close on 450lbs or more like those two Harlem Globetrotters just imagine what he could have done to Shaquille O'Neal who weighed a lot less...

@@AcousticOlli can you imagine shaq playing in the 60s? His dependence on his physical game play would get him fouled out in the 1st quarter lol. I think it's funny how you say stats dont matter then use his "stats dropping" as proof that he isnt good lol. Make it make sense. I dont think you truly understand WHY his career playoff numbers are lower than his career regular season numbers. Its because wilts game evolved over time and his role changed with different teams and coaches. as he transitioned away from being the #1 scoring option of his team to a more "team player" role plus being on deeper teams he had much more success in the post season, so because of these factors he had many more playoff games where his role was not to get stats but wins. Which is when he won his 2 championships playing "better basketball" but not statistically.

Wilt was exaggerating saying he could bench 600lbs, but it was definitely over 550lbs. Go watch videos of the stories. There are players who played against Wilt and were executives in the NBA when Shaq played who say Wilt was much stronger. I can't remember the players, but there were two 6'10" players who got in a fight on court. Wilt went over and picked them both up off of the ground with either arm and told them to stop. They were so shocked and scared they just walked the other way afraid of Wilt. There are two, maybe three, Olympic medalists who only have medals because professional athletes weren't allowed to compete in the Olympics. Even Michael Jordan can't say that. Wilt was the most athletic player to ever be in the NBA. Late in his career, he blocked Karem's sky hook at its peak. This is when he had lost some of his vertical. He was too athletic and too powerful for Shaq. His athleticism would have got him the leverage and his superior power would have overpowered Shaq. Sorry, but you are wrong. By the way, I am not a Wilt worshipper. MJ is still the GOAT, but Wilt is second. No other players were superhuman like MJ and Wilt.
