Liberace was a very nice man. I was lucky enough to meet him in 1985 at his condo in Malibu. He had purchased furniture and a couple paintings from the store where I worked in West L.A. and I was there to deliver it. We chatted about art and his Shar-Pei dogs for about 45 minutes. He seemed almost shy and introverted, but just as nice as he is in this video.
He was so cultured... but charming and cute! Like when he talks about getting the Czechoslovakian crystal at Disney World he's telling us like it's a cheeky secret. Just adorable.

I used to ride my bike or walk by this home several times a week when I lived in Palm Springs. Next door was a similar house that was built for the Singer Sewing mavine family. They are both much bigger than the seem. Now the home was redone again and the Liberace signatures were removed from the garage doors. He provided so much entertainment.

When I asked him if he thought this was a waste of water, he replied that Liberace would never forgive him if he let the statues get dirty. Stunning and fantastic home. God Bless You Lee.

That was what must have happened to him as a child. I’ve never seen anyone grinning and smiling so much in my life. I would hate to think if he did this if he attended a funeral or they would have called the men in the white coats to come and take him away in an ambulance and in a straight jacket for ruining the funeral.

My mother owned a night club on Lucky Street in Atlanta Ga. in the 60’s...She had hired a piano entertainer to work there...he was a protege of Lee’s...He was quite talented. The young man was involved in a auto accident, and sadly he was killed... Lee paid for his funeral and came to Atlanta for the services. I was a little girl at the time and I thought he was magical and I wanted him to take me home with him...🙏🥰🙏

Like all things that change, from what I see living here now, I think Liberace would be disappointed in the way this town is now. Alot of low lifes and trashy people here unfortunately. Not like it was in the 70's I would imagine. I was lucky enough to go to a charity event at the Liberace Mansion some months back, and let me tell u, it was spectacular. The best thing I have done since moving here Anne. The mansion ,, oh my god , in one word Breathtaking!!!. The new owner restored it back to when Liberace lived there, minus the pool, which is a ballroom now, but I had the most amazing night of my life. Met the owner, what a down to earth, nice guy. I was thrilled to be walking through the front door he had many times walked through, and the mansion, oh wow. Mirrors, marble, chandeliers, candelabra, u name it, antiques, the new owner has it perfected to when Liberace lived there. I didn't want to leave it was so stunning. I am hoping if they have another charity event to definitely go, and I know one day I have heard it will be turned into a museum for all to see. What a great tribute to a legend. I remember when I was a kid Liberace was the co-host on "The Mike Douglas Show" for a week, and each day he showed a film of one of his homes. I bet that's where this is from.
I admire his knowledge of History and Antiques. His respect for his fans and appreciation of their devotion to his music is felt through the cards, letters and art mounted and framed through out his houses. One of a kind.
I was able to go inside the house, long after his passing, and all his furnishings had been removed. Other furniture was put in its place by a new owner. Liberace's protege pianist Jere Ring was there, and talked about the old days. One of the bathrooms was behind a removable bookcase. The home has been remodeled again.
I have met Mr. Ring and he is a genius as well! Great entertainer and beautiful pianist!! I would have loved to meet Liberace but since that isn’t a possibility I listen to his theme song and watch these wonderful videos!!

The best thing I have done since moving here Anne. The mansion ,, oh my god , in one word Breathtaking!!!. The new owner restored it back to when Liberace lived there, minus the pool, which is a ballroom now, but I had the most amazing night of my life. Met the owner, what a down to earth, nice guy. I was thrilled to be walking through the front door he had many times walked through, and the mansion, oh wow. Mirrors, marble, chandeliers, candelabra, u name it, antiques, the new owner has it perfected to when Liberace lived there. I didn't want to leave it was so stunning. I am hoping if they have another charity event to definitely go, and I know one day I have heard it will be turned into a museum for all to see. What a great tribute to a legend. I remember when I was a kid Liberace was the co-host on "The Mike Douglas Show" for a week, and each day he showed a film of one of his homes. I bet that's where this is from.

I was able to go inside the house, long after his passing, and all his furnishings had been removed. Other furniture was put in its place by a new owner. Liberace's protege pianist Jere Ring was there, and talked about the old days. One of the bathrooms was behind a removable bookcase. The home has been remodeled again.
I have met Mr. Ring and he is a genius as well! Great entertainer and beautiful pianist!! I would have loved to meet Liberace but since that isn’t a possibility I listen to his theme song and watch these wonderful videos!!
