Very good pics bud !! I still think the great Gorham is one of my favorite players and fit in that band like a glove shockingly enough I wasn't a big fan of Gary lizzy I think Robertson lizzy was one of my favs although I do like renegade !!
I saw Thin Lizzy on their Australian tour in the late 70s. Robbo wasn't in the band so Gary Moore was the second guitarist. The concert was outdoors and they were spot on. Suicides their best song
Speaking of Bad Reputation, Thin Lizzy make a surprise appearance in the 1978 movie The Boys From Brazil in a London street scene there's a big red double-decker bus with an ad for the album and their name on the front of the bus too, that was pretty cool to see...
Soo sorry I missed the LS man !!!! I first heard Frank Marino and Cold sweat in the high school smoking area 1982 !!! Right when we got into mercyful fate Metallica butchered every cover they did lol Phil was an incredible singer bass player there's a reason there wasnt impressive reunion tours Noone could replace phil Was gonna say love the new tune Ralph And thx to Martin for signing my mercyful fate book Renegade is one of my fav albums as well Lizzy would play songs they were still developing and at least are you ready never appeared on an LP !!!! Shmakamagob !!!!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟 Regards to Nooner !!!
Top 5 songs: 5) Soldier of Fortune 4) Emerald 3) Freedom Song 2) Black Rose 1) Wild One. Top 5 LPS: 5) Johnny the Fox 4) Bad Reputation 3) Black Rose 2) Jailbreak 1) Fighting. Great topic and show guys!
Thank you for that, huge Lizzy fan!! As to the comment of how well did they perform these songs whatever the circumstances, when youtube came out, a huge ammount of unaccessible material surfaced. What amazed me from all the live performances, from their prime to their latter day, Phil never sang a bad note!! Even through what must had been really bad on stage sound, drugs, fatigue etc. This is how big a talent he was!!
1:08:35 Interestingly, “Dear Miss Lonely Hearts” was recorded as a Thin Lizzy song - Snowy wasn’t happy when Phil put it on his solo album. Great show - and great albums! Scott and Gary reckoned ‘Jailbreak’ was the best. Looking at how many songs from it are on ‘Live And Dangerous’, I’d have to agree 👍
Tony a lot of times the bands have no input over what gets included in deluxe versions/ boxed sets. Thats determined by the record label . So many times you have a 22 y/o kid compiling tracks for 50+ y/o bands

Thin Lizzy freakin rules -- I taught one of my students Bad Reputation earlier tonight -- they will always be one of the best bands ever

As an Irishman (and knowing the Irish language) Róisín Dubh is pronounced Roh-sheen Duh-vv (a soft “v” after the duh)
Philip did die from heartfailure.
If you think about it, most people die of heart failure.
I’m 😊y x
