  • Andy's first pro gig as a Blender artist was Elephants Dream in 2006; since then he worked on 12 more open movie projects as lighter and compositor, being responsible for the final look on screen.
    In this presentation, we take a glance at the history of Blender Open Movies from the rendering point of view and dive straight into the lighting principles and the workflow of one of the latest Blender film productions: Sprite Fright.

    I still think Cosmos Laundromat needs a part 2 and 3. Blender and hardware have evolved so much in the last 7 years . Scenses and shots that took hours should take a 3rd of the time and look so much better because the workflow and productivity tools have sky rocketed since. Plus its a really interesting story that needs closure

    While it's obvious, I think the method for the linked lights and world settings is awesome. I never thought of using it like that!
