Thanks for your terrific vehicle reviews. I'm a older guy and love your old school type reviews. I never miss any of your reviews. Thanks for your great work.
You do realize that dealers have to _buy_ the cars they sell from the manufacturer, right? And that their margins on new car sales are pretty slim, right?
Nobody wants to see daytime running lights! Or super bright lights at night. Automakers please take it down a notch. In the day i enjoy “not” seeing lights. At night nobody needs to call batman with their headlamps
Hi Joe, Great video, however, Big Bend is the base for 2024, Badlands is the top trim with the 2.0 Ecoboost. We have a ‘23 Outer Banks and so far we love it. Ours does have a sunroof, but bumped up final price to just over $41,000.
I have a ‘21 BS First Edition Area 51 I replaced the side blanks with an after market side LED marker. Does amber and white. So it now has a function. DTRL- white Turn signal -amber Hazards - amber Also thanks for the “hidden” feature dropping down the cargo floor…never knew that and I don’t remember reading that in the manual😮😅 My family has been watching you since you did the 21 BS and has since refer to cargo space in food sizes and amounts.😂 Love your content Joe and your wife’s “eye” through the camera. I could just image what faces she was making when you talking about “parking”😂.
Good news guys for 2025 the bronco sport will be getting the sync 4 system with the bigger 12inch screen it will be a upgrade from the sync 3 8inch screen and also great video guys ❤
Even though the styling and amenities beat the Trailblazer, I'm not paying that much for a 3 cyl vehicle. The Trailblazer is way less expensive with the 3 cyl. JMO.
The Trailblazer has a lot less power and not as good transmission. The Bronco Sport is actually a decent light off roader while the Trailblazer does not appear to be. The Sport is worth the extra money and I'd just go for the 2.0 turbo.
I just purchased a 2024 Big Bend, it has the 1.5 Ecoboost with 8 speed. Will need to get creative with adding an additional length cord (or flanged inlet receptacle) for the head bolt heater plug.
You're awesome dude . Love your intro and your reviews. You're entertaining not boring. I've got a 2022 sport big bend and so far it's been a good vehicle and hopefully it's going to be a winner for the long haul . Thanks for the great video. 👍👍
Crazy how the price increased over the 2021. My First Edition was the price of this Outerbanks and has more off-road capabilities, a sun roof, and E-lockiing rear. The 2.0 is also preppy. Compared to my 14 Focus ST. I think it would be pretty even in a race especially with the full time 4X4 getting a better launch.
OK, I have never enjoyed a car review more! Anybody who measures space by Twinkies and little Debbie’s is right up my alley! Thank you for the review. I will be going to do a test drive today!
Living in NYC, it wasnt too difficult to opt for this as opposed to the big Bronco. Selling my Wrangler, of course I wanted the big boy but I couldn't justify the size and bad MPG living in the city. Sadly, due to inflation this model year is $4k more than I paid for a new 2022 Outer Banks with everything plus the moon roof. Averaging about 26 MPG as a daily driver. The major complaint other than the smaller engine is the doors don't open at a full 90° angle, making it a tighter squeeze when getting in or out the back seats. Other than that, I am seriously considering the 2025 model that is rumored to also come in a Hybrid along with the bigger screen and Sync 4 that was already mentioned. Great review as always!
I love Broncos but not this. I know the Sport is a daily driving oriented trim but it's very expensive. If I had to buy a Bronco it would be one of the big guys.
Not just expensive but a crappy interior for the price. It is fine to keep it utilitarian and basic but the materials for the price are awful. Also, the chip shortage has gotten a lot better, time to update sync so you can give us that full screen.
@raitirides you forgot the coolest one on this review. There is a bottle opener on the left side of the trunk. Also, the Badlands is the highest trim, big bend is the new low trim or close to base model. Great review though. I bought one recently and your review helped
@@benven2161 The 1.5 has adequate power if you only drive in the city stop light to stop light. It is underpowered when getting on the highway or passing other cars at highway speeds. 1.5 has water pump, cracked fuel injectors and battery issues since they are not AGM style batteries from the factory. The 1.5 also shakes like a Harley when idling since it is not balanced. You can feel the shaking in the front seats, steering wheel and dash. The 2.0 would not only solve all of these issues, but would also provide a better ride quality since there is more weight on the front end. 2.0 4 cylinder all day everyday when compared to the 1.5 3 cylinder
I wish you were correct, Joe, but you can't get the 2.0 liter Ecoboost engine unless you spring for the Badlands edition.Which makes no sense to me, as I would love that engine in the Outer Banks (ie, without all the off-road stuff). Call your contacts at Ford and set them straight! Love your stuff, btw...
I really like the Bronco Sport but I just don’t see the value for the money. There’s simply no excuse for them to still have sync 3 when their upgraded system has. Even out for several years now. Also, seeing as how this is basically the more “rugged” Escape they should have at minimum a hybrid option if not a plugin option.
I do like this Bronco Sport Joe, it does need a bigger screen and atleast a optional digital instrumentation. I would also make a hybrid powertrain available like the one in the Escape
I like the Bronco Sport but a 3 cylinder. News flash 3 bangers went out with the Geo Metro. Not a fan of these mini bike motors. But the colors and packages are really nice. Still considering getting one but I would get the Big Bend.
Speaking of Broncos, the Motor City Madman Ted Nugent has a first generation Bronco, of which he's very proud. 😊 As for the tripod engine, I guess it's OK, but I'd have to experience it in person. 40K is not that shocking anymore. There are worse MSRP's. Instead of Bon Jovi music, I would que up "Cat Scratch Fever" or "Free For All", speaking of Uncle Ted. Good looking color combo on this.
Definitely want my dad to get a new bronco sport heritage in the next yr or so. He’s had his compact ford sedan for a long time but has some issues and too low clearance, needs something a little more lift and space inside plus similar power and performance like his current car, the current one has a 2 liter turbo eco boost engine, have a feeling it won’t be the 2 liter due to his budget, guessing the 1.5 liter engine, does it perform as well as the 2 liter? Just curious
I have a 2022 big bend with an upgrade package and it has a 1.5 litre turbo and it has enough power to get the job done easily with 30 mpg . And with the tow package I can pull a small trailer with a zero turn mower on it and not even know it is back there. I bought it for winter weather and it's not even snowed since here in Ohio lol.
At 8:40 in the video, Raiti's says you need to upgrade to the Big Bend for the 4 cylinder. Wrong, the Badlands has the 4 cylinder 2.0 liter. Bad mistake.
I just got a 2021 big bend love it! Kinda hope they don’t refresh this design for a while because it’s so sick looking… What’s your thoughts on Ford keeping this design? Do you think the 25 model year will look the same?
I think you kept mentioning the Big Bend package for more power and more capability when it is actually the Badlands package that gives you the extras. But do like the Bronco Sport and in fact have my 2nd one in my garage. Both of which are the Outer Banks.
The Bronco and Trailblazer are 2 very different vehicles at 2 very different price points. Both are good vehicles but for my money I’d go with the Trailblazer. I don’t need a large storage space behind the rear seats and I like the smaller size of the Trailblazer, especially in the city. If I was going off road then I would get the Bronco. The trailblazer is better looking inside, by far, and the lack of a sunroof on the Bronco Is a deal breaker for me. TB has a pano sunroof which few subcompacts have. And FYI the TB (maybe on the upper trims) has a 9 speed automatic transmission not a 6 speed tranny as Raiti stated.
How is the road noise? on the Bronco And one quick question about the trail blazer I read where it has a cvt trans now the chevy Trax has a six speed Thanks.
I love how you equate the door storage space to how much food you can accommodate.. 😂 Like Twinkies, hot dogs and shakes!❤ Makes my day. Are you really a foodie because you look real good and fit even though it's all twinkies and shakes in your reviews😊 And here I am adding 5 pounds to my waist line just thinking about food!😂 Anyways really good review. 👍👍👍
I understand the preference for LED in the headlight housing and everywhere else, that being said, can any of them be easily replaced if the LED goes out? LED does eventually fail, and in my Avalon, the entire headlight housing would need to be replaced if even one LED goes out, costing thousands.
Our driveways are familiar. My ITS and EG BadSquatch Bronco to your CTR and EG Wildtrack. Go up to Bronco Sport Badlands, what I wanted my wife to get, but they were unatainium at the time.
Seems like the Nissan Rogue is the value leader in SUVs of this size. I mean I know this particular one is supposed to be a good off-roader, but let’s be real, only a tiny portion of buyers are going to use it for that. For this price, I would expect way more power, to tow, and accelerate.
Joe, I really enjoyed your politically correct introduction to this small confusing suv type class of vehicles. I am going to start by saying that it should be illegal or false advertising for them to actually call this thing a bronco. I rented one for a month from enterprise rent a car ,it drove and felt more like a Honda civic than a ford bronco suv. I strongly suggest that anyone looking at buying this one, rents one first, so they don’t get seduced by the name and then find out they got played by the marketing department at ford. If anyone is looking to spend $40,000 on an actual small midsize suv , I would suggest buying a good few year old low mileage used jeep grand Cherokee limited. IMO this mini bronco is a grocery getter or a teenager’s first car. For $40,000 there are lots of better options than this one.
Little to much for vehicle with 3 cylinder engine. Anyway, is this the one with internal serpentine "wet belt" that runs oil pump and loose all teeth around 60k miles and grenades all internal parts because of belts debris, oil starvation,timing.. I'm just asking for friend?
40k for that little thing? Come on car market....just come on. Starting price on a Jeep Wrangler is 32k for the sport which will be bigger and more capable than this thing.
I seriously considered this vehicle but after all the issues with the earlier models, decided against it. Fit and finish, quality of materials not good for a 40k+ vehicle. Bought a 2024 Audi Q3 for 2k more and so happy i did. I see that Ford didn't change the 2024 model much but hopefully they fixed alot of the issues. 3cyl on a 40k+ vehicle???
Yeah, the prices I'm seeing for some of these similar-sized SUVs are getting a bit ridiculous. Like you said, for a few more thousand, you can get a frickin' Audi. It's not just Ford, either. Looked at some Kias online, and while they start low, the better trims get expensive fast. I just can't see paying so much for a Ford, Kia, etc, when Audis and BMWs aren't a ton more.
they basically made the Escape appeal to women, and then took the same car, made it look macho and advertised it as such and added an extra $10k to sell to men
Only 27mpg combined for that small engine? Not good. The larger, heavier Grand Highlander gas only model gets 24mpg combined. Plus you can tow 5000lb with it.
I love my BMW Z4 but I need to sell it and get a solid offroad vehicle, I don't plan to leave the asphalt but the roads in White Plains NY in Westchester County are so bad, you need very beefy tires and skid plates. I don't know where the absurdly high taxes are going but it ain't fixing the roads. I guess giving free stuff to illegal immigrants is more important in NY than safe roadways.
Thanks for your terrific vehicle reviews. I'm a older guy and love your old school type reviews. I never miss any of your reviews.

Great video… FYI the next step up is the Badlands with the 2.0 liter .. Big Bend is the base model for 2024 with the 1.5 liter
Ford definitely needs to pay @RaitisRides a lot more money for his reviews!!!!!
Also the Badlands is the one that has the additional 1 inch lift! Dude reviewing and he has no clue😂
The Badlands comes standard with a 2 liter turbo, 250hp. There is no option.
I like the looks of this over the Trailblazer.

@@loopedca Im in TX so no fear of 6 inches of snow lol
I like the two tone paint job. Very sharp with the black roof.

The full-sized bronco is styled after the 1st Gen Bronco.

I read from Ford that the Badlands 2.0 liter is the fastest car Ford makes other than the Mustang 5.0 and the Raptors. 0-60 is like 4.8sec.
Last month I bought a certified 22 OB and I love it

I seriously considered this vehicle but after all the issues with the earlier models, decided against it. Fit and finish, quality of materials not good for a 40k+ vehicle. Bought a 2024 Audi Q3 for 2k more and so happy i did. I see that Ford didn't change the 2024 model much but hopefully they fixed alot of the issues. 3cyl on a 40k+ vehicle???
What’s your payment on the Audi
@@chocolatewheelchair paid cash, got a $2000 discount off MSRP plus $1000 rebate from Audi.
@@johndixon9551 that’s awesome. Enjoy that truck
Not a truck, it's a station wagon or suv.
Power retracting mirrors ?
Trim above outer Banks is the badlands not the big bend.
they basically made the Escape appeal to women, and then took the same car, made it look macho and advertised it as such and added an extra $10k to sell to men
Exactly. It's nothing more than a Ford Escape with a different body. Same engine, Same issues.
I really like the boxy look of these however the front grill/side profile is a bit juvenile.
Love your vids man but ford charging that much for a basic suv is criminal, those should be starting in the lower 20s
For the money I would choose the Bronco Sport. Don't like that antenna stick out like that though.
I’m just learning about vehicles, so I’m not sure , but wouldn’t it be kind of hard to off-road with 180 HP?
Off-Roading isn't about horsepower kid. Educate yourself
Love that color and Area 51
Ford Escape with a 5k Bronco name?
