      That’s amazing to see you’re realizing this at 15 dude. I’m 19yrs as of now and as of recent I’ve finally got my conviction to follow the word of God to be corrected to live a righteous life. I hope you continue. It’s a hard path but a very worthwhile one! God bless you bro!

      I lost my father at 15 and I am an example of what not to do without having a father figure. Focus on your heavenly father and be grateful to God for every good thing in your life.

I'm in Lesotho in Africa.. but his teachings makes me know that there's no salvation of Africa or American, but as long as we follow one God the same God..we must look alike.. you are a blessing and the way you love your wife it's amazing.God bless you we might not meet in this world but we will surely meet in heaven.. surely

    That point about working parents, hiring someone to raise their children, enrolling them in preschool and big schools, then after school doing sports and extra-curriculars, and after all that going to home to what really is a condo of people who don't know each other... man now I understand what's going on with me and my family. Talk about the narrow path.

I was comfortable and I know it was right to do..People were staring at me like I'm an idiot..lol..to them But not under God's eyes..Thank you Pastor. Truth be told..❤

    A wife is to “be in subjection” to her husband and have a “meek and quiet spirit.” She is to follow Sarah’s example, who obeyed her husband and called him “lord.” This does not paint a “partnership of equals” but rather a leader and follower, a master and servant relationship. She is to be ruled by her husband.

    Realy understand and resonate in my spirit with your definition of what biblical love to a wife is.
    However, just been struggling with the thought of does the definition you gave mean God has prepared a wife for you that you will lay down your life for, or you can decided to marry any saved woman and choose to lay down your life for her?
    I guess my question is does God pick your spouse or He wants you to pick your spouse but treat her as He wills?

    • @Msmanimckinsey
      @Msmanimckinsey 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I used to struggle with this thought but now I consider: God doesn’t tell me which socks to wear today or which job to apply for, but I have a responsibility regardless of my decision. I think that’s how it is. (And I mean choosing a saved husband/wife). Think about people who are in arranged marriages, was it God ordered or man ordered, did God select them in His enteral thoughts, possibly? We don’t know. But even in their lack of choice they have the same responsibilities as someone with a choice.

    • @Msmanimckinsey
      @Msmanimckinsey 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think a bit part of the question is the idea of a soulmate. Are they biblical? What if I marry someone who isn’t my soulmate, how could I tell? If we both truly serve the Lord it will be a fruitful wonderful blessing of a marriage. But if one of us doesn’t serve the Lord and I wonder if there was someone better for me, I’m lacking contentment, long suffering, and deep prayer for their change. No one enters a relationship perfect we all need the Lord’s work and self denial. If we both serve God with all of our hearts and ways how could we ever wonder if we chose wrong? Dating is a privilege, we get to choose and waste time to select. But years ago there wasn’t much of choice, you found out who you were with after the ring was given. I don’t think they considered soul mates, just loving God and self denial.

    Thank you Mr. Washer for a great video. Just one question, how can you marry young and not have a steady income according to the word of God?

    • @illbehonest
      @illbehonest  วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Bible encourages wisdom and responsibility in marriage, but it does not set a specific financial requirement before marriage. Scripture does teach that a husband is to provide for his household (1 Timothy 5:8) and that planning and diligence are wise (Proverbs 24:27). At the same time, marriage is ultimately a step of faith, trusting in God's provision while being willing to work hard and live simply if necessary. If a couple seeks the Lord, exercises wisdom, and is committed to biblical roles in marriage, financial challenges should not necessarily be a barrier. The key is to pursue marriage with faith, responsibility, and a heart submitted to God's will.

    Thank you God for your only begotten son Christ Jesus; I believe He was sent from God to walk amongst men in human form but God in the flesh and he died for all sins and He was risen on the third day and ascended into Heaven to be at the Right hand of the Father, Amen.

    What does Paul think of old testament polygamy?

    • @illbehonest
      @illbehonest  วันที่ผ่านมา

      I cannot comment on what Paul W. believes, but here are some thoughts: Polygamy was codified in the Old Testament and was allowed under the Mosaic Law, though it was never God’s original design for marriage. From the beginning, God’s intention was one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant (Genesis 2:24). While men like Abraham, Jacob, David, and Solomon had multiple wives, this often led to strife and consequences, showing that polygamy was tolerated but not ideal.
      In the New Testament, Christ and the apostles reaffirm God’s original design. Jesus emphasized that marriage is between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6), and Paul, in laying out qualifications for church leaders, made it clear that a husband should have one wife (1 Timothy 3:2, 12; Titus 1:6). The broader teaching of the New Testament assumes monogamy as the norm for all believers.

    I disagree on 1 point not 60 years ago. That's in the 60s. Not 70 years that in the 50s. It was more like from the 1930 .it's close to a hundred years ago there were beach cops that would measure and inspect your outfit to be sure it covered everything and was long enough if it wasn't you were fined even arrested. But his pont about the way we dress since the 40s is inappropriate.

    Paul Washer is teaching biblical relationships and marriage, except when he puts marriage before the gospel. Nowhere in scripture does God call us to marriage being the primary mission. The Great commission is not a charge to marriage, it is to the gospel. Marriage is a great commitment and responsibility and we are to give our all to it, but it is not even a close second to our responsibility to the gospel.

      If you don't love your wifi how can you say that you are a son of God and share the gospel? If you don't have you family in order, how can you teach that the lord is your God, testimony is important the fruit is important because is the answer of the change that the Gospel make in the people The change Christ make in the people.

      That's not what he said. He said it's his first ministry. Which makes sense because he made a holy commitment to his wife. He wakes up next to this holy commitment and goes to sleep next to her.
      The church is Christs bride. Christs first ministry.
