Tomorrow 10 am, me and my friend are going to start a Bible study, no planned book or scripture but we are going to open the Bible and read through enough scripture to lead to conversation, but God please direct any question that may come about and give us clarity on any matter concerned about your word, thank you in advance. Praise you father!
Paul washer (therefore bible) taught masculinity long before Andrew Tate or Jordan Peterson were famous. Thank you Mr, Washer, very helpful lesson, really made me realize a lot. PS. Doug please send us notes 😄
Watching this 11 years later and so much is coming to fruition. I pray desperately that my daughters can find a godly a man, especially since their father definitely is not.
I'm not a man but am listening in order to send it to the men I know (for encouragement and Biblical direction). Thank you Brother Paul. God's sincerity in His Word is well represented by your message.
It is a very sad truth. The vast majority of us fall short of what godly men should be. May the Lord teach us His ways, and that we listen to Him alone, not culture, not the world, God alone.
2023 and this message is still.hurt breaking sounds as good as yesterday... where have all the men gone? here in Uganda its worse and getting worse everyday....
I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t stop listening to his sermons all day for weeks and I ran across a video he discused his experience being in god’s presence and it was extremely similar to the experience I had and searched out and it became clear to me that when you experience god first hand it changes everything. I don’t care if heaven is a nasty portapotty at a carnival as long as I’m there with god. I appreciate Paul more than I could express in words
When I was finally saved, and heartbroken at my own incredible sin, the Holy spirit led me to listen to Paul washer. I felt my broken heart come back together as I heard the word of God preached through this man's lips. All you need to know what biblical masculinity is, is the bible(Jesus specifically). If you want it explained a bit, listen to Paul washer. But the Bible ALWAYS remain #1
THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS we as a church are too far gone. We as a society are too far gone. For this we pray for forgiveness and Salvation as we wait for the Lord
I agree with all of this teaching. It is amazing , inciteful, and purposeful. When he talked about traditions, I wholeheartedly agree we need to apply these traditional teachings to manhood. I also think it should apply to these pagan traditions such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter to adhere to the Biblical traditions of the Old testament which are Godly celebrations that concentrate wholly on Reference and worship to God rather than distractions.❤
Putting it very simply, the Normative Principle says “You are allowed to do this thing in church so long as Scripture does not forbid it”, whereas the Regulative Principle says “Only do this thing in church if Scripture gives clear warrant to do so”.
If you wouldn't know that this preach is 12 years old, you may say it was recoreded yesterday. Just astonished to see yet again, that Gods time is just not compatible with ours..
Realistically nothing to very little will change in the so called Christian church/community. I as a Christian have asked many other Christians at church, "What is your favorite scripture"? The responses of 85 % of the congregation is ," WHY ARE YOU JUDGING ME" !!!! If you can't even get your congregation to memorize 1scripture, HOW DO YOU EXPECT YOUR CONGREGATION TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD???
@@ckreal9423 Check this out, the next time you go to church, randomly ask people there. "Hey, what's your favorite scripture"? And see what happens. I live in So California and I've gone to many churches in my time. I've done lots of ministry work, But I insist for those that work with me, they MUST learn scriptures and I've tested them at the end of the week. Few will and the rest don't seem to care. The armor of God isn't fulfilled unless the SWORD is there to fight back.
Yeah, it's pretty common for men to abdicate their responsibility to the body of Christ. And it is very much scriptural that fathers are to be the biggest role of teacher/disciple-er for their family. That, however, does not exclude things like youth groups and such. A does not lead to negative B.
Boys hanging out with boys without older men as guides was considered wrong. But the boys still played together. Just clarifying. I agree that our Christian culture has been infected by the pursuit of money that resulted from the Industrial Revolution which carried men away from the family inside the cities. We need to promote the importance of men as the guide to boys in the family.
My question is, as a 16-year old male, how do I change my church? How do you tell the father's that they need to instruct their children and my fellow youth? There is so much mediocrity and conformity in the church, how do you get it out?
If there are wise men in your church, they would love it if you asked them for mentorship. Aside from that, get into the Word, pray without ceasing, abide with God, ask the Lord what he wants to say to you and listen. Ask the Lord for wisdom (James 1:2-8). Have the courage to lead by example.
Christ is the head of man, man is the head of the woman. You can call the Book a constitution of God. A king, ambassador. Political unlike the one we have. By submission. Not control or demand. The king spoke and it is law. That's the way the kingdom of God works. I like Dr Myles Munroe explaining it and Paul Washer explained submission

You will be! It is your portion as a believer. Submit yourself to the Word, prayer, and listening for the Holy Spirit's lead. He's a good father, and if he created you as a man, he wants to lead you into the fullness of what it is to be a man.
His analysis of what “tribal times” was like is silly. Generation gaps and distinctions have been part of life since the beginning-it is not grounded in evolution in any way. Further, evolution is a scientific fact. I’m always astounded at how pastors will retcon history to make a point.

Never before a preacher moves me to seek Christ hard like Brother Washer.

I know this “therefore” sounds bad but you will get the idea.
Did you end up getting those notes from Doug? 😁
And I'm not implying that you think this, but what Andrew Tate teaches is not masculinity, it is pride wrapped in a macho facade

If there’s anyone who can speak authoritatively on biblical manhood, it’s Paul Washer.

Where could we get the notes of this teaching ? Paul Washer mentioned there were some note available. Thank you
Many have asked, but this is from so long ago that we have no idea how that could be obtained.
This video has aged almost like the Jesus made in that wedding
What was that book on logic that was for colonial children?
Where does it say that a man must disciple his wife?
Ephesians 5:26
All through out scripture

Does anyone know what logic primer he mentioned? I would like to get a copy if there's any in print.
I think it's "Logic or The Right Use of Reason in the Inquiry of Truth".
What is the name of the logic book?
Logick: Or The Right Use of Reason In The Inquiry After Truth by Isaac Watts
Does anyone know where we can find the notes? Do they even still exist?
Anyone know exactly which book he's talking about around 20:50? Some kind of logic primer.
Sorry I don't know the where to find it.
