    Thank you for the excellent explanation and showing so many awesome examples! The book at 6:40 looks familiar :P
    So honored to have my book featured in this video, thank you!

    This video was very helpful. The only thing addition I would have added were a few books that were in the non-fiction relm.

      Great suggestion! I'll try to add some non-fiction in future videos!

    My writing partner Kate uses Atticus to format our books. Speaking of which, it was cool to see one of our books, Queen Killer, in the stack of books to the left of screen near the start of the video 😍

      YAY! I love that too, we are always so excited to see and engage with Atticus authors. Perhaps your book will be featured in a future video!

    Hi Atticus. I am at the moment trying to create that very table of contents. Looking at the back matter specifically. How was that done? This video doesn't seem to cover that.

    • @AtticusWriter
      @AtticusWriter  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Table of Contents is automatically created by Atticus. If you're having trouble with this, it's best to write into suppport and they'll be able to help out more directly!

    Is it possible to make your own Back Matter and saving it to Atticus?

    • @AtticusWriter
      @AtticusWriter  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! This tutorial should help you understand how to create the pages, but if you search for a tutorial on Master Pages, that will help you save it in Atticus so you can use it in all your book...or any you want to, at least!

    What's a good image height to length ratio for the title image for an ebook? The publisher name is getting stuck over the subtitle if I use the generic, auto generated title page, in the ipad version of the preview.

    • @AtticusWriter
      @AtticusWriter  หลายเดือนก่อน

      For the eBook title page, you won't want to judge it by the preview in Atticus, but rather export the ePub and view using Kindle Previewer. We recommend using the specs provided by your publisher - full page images can be the same size as your ebook cover. I hope that helps!

    Can you please fix the issue with inverted text color not working. I've been having to turn it on and off a million times and redownload the PDF over and over and over to get it to work.

    • @AtticusWriter

      It sounds like your Atticus may need a bit of an update, as this shouldn't be happening. Can you try:
      - Log out of Atticus using the profile icon in the top right
      - In Chrome, open an Incognito browser by pressing
      - Log back into app.atticus.io
      Hopefull that works better!

    6:50, how did the author make the tree expand the whole page along with the text?

    • @HelenaCross
      @HelenaCross 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That’s definitely a background image. They created an image file that was the same size as their trim (with bleed because it extends to edges), then put the tree on the page. Saved it as a jpg. In Atticus, you can set this image as a background image for all chapters (or just one chapter using the function for ‘use individual chapter images’ and setting up an image in the specific chapter-there’s an option by the title to insert something). And that tree (used in this example) should be on the edge of your chapter pages.

      @@HelenaCross Oh, interesting. I like it. I'll have to research more to figure out how to do it. Thanks

      @AtticusWriter  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yup, @HelenaCross is exactly right! If you search our tutorials for 2 page spreads, it covers single page background images too!
