It depends on the type of book, for a paper back book, 0.5-0.75inches is okay, but for a hard cover book, consider adjusting your margin between 0.75-1.0inch. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the positive review, for any future editing you want to do after the formating, you will need to do the editing on the Microsoft word document, which the original document, then you will bring it to coreldraw for formating again.
Try to install acrobat PDF software or foxit PDF software, then try to print in the Corel draw again, you are now suppose to have acrobat PDF as print options.

The saving does not have to do with printer, what version of Corel draw are you us in please, then please check if you can save as PDF

Coreldraw X3 is a low version, consider using X7 or higher version please, feel free to ask any other question if there is any. Thanks.
