I owned a 71 442 Oldsmobile cutlass that I bought from a very good friend in highschool and me and my cousin did a lot of work to it and I took it to atco speedway in Atco new jersey and it ran low 12's in the 1/4 mile and from then I was hooked on cuttlass's, they had a great body style and were very powerful machines and were reliable and very fast 😎👍❤️
I am not I buy this, a lot of the data presented is not accurate and you could clearly see that whomever put this together was not a muscle guy aficionado. Incidentally, the 70 and 71 Hemi Engines where rated the same. however in the video they had them under different numbers claiming the 71 rated lower.
This is true but in 71 manufacturers listed hp numbers in both sae gross and sae net ratings. Thus to help people with the transition in 1972. Could be the possible culprit here
Barracuda, Challenger, Camaro, and Firebird were not Muscle Cars. They were Pony Cars as they were conceived as competition for the original Mustang. Muscle Cars were 2 door versions of mid-sized sedans
Well, 440 with the six pack, was probably better of the line, although slightly. The 426 Hemi is racy, the 440 six pack is a glorified tractor motor by comparison. Nobody who owns a 426 hemi wishes they had a 440 instead. Although, almost everyone who owns a 440 would prefer a 426 Hemi in it's place.
i had the first Barracuda, the second only sold around 5 or 6 and it´s `Cuda(see the litle signal before the C)the beep beep wasn´t known better by it´s older model from late 60´s it even had the WB. bird with some graphics on the side panels and in purple at least mine and the horn made BEEP BEEP, they could have released the Vega coyote model there´s a body , i think it´s the second that i found nice but i also liked the second half of the 70´s charger and wasn´t fast
Kind of nice that all the footage here that you stole, 100% of the video in truth, you at least credited by noting that you ripped them off. Kind of bad that you had no intention of creating your own.
Even the drag race of 2nd to last was not a Mach1 Mustang. So lazy, poorly researched, AI commentary ridiculous. And I don’t claim to be an expert- just average knowledge from someone who grew up in this era
AMC Javelin wins the Trans Am Championship for both 1971 and 1972, the Typhoon 401cid gave it a 13.5 second quarter mile and it is not even in last place? Really?? 426 cid is a Hemi (Mopar) engine and a 427 or 428 were Cobra Jets(CJ) and the 428 was also the Super Cobra Jet (SCJ) depending upon the internals. Very lazy video.

The 1971 426 Hemi had 425 h.p. not 385
Everyone says the 426s are faster than the 440s………

I love muscle cars, but my Q60RS with a 6 cylinder twin turbo smokes em' all, and handles LOL.
The 426 was a hemi engine

well ,not fast enough
Fastest is a vehicles Top Speed, Quickest means Acceleration. Get your info right...
yes , i agree i don´t even find funny the destruction of good perfect tires in a few meters, a quarter mile 1/4 x1.6meters isn´t it
BOLOGNA!!
How about the Stage 1 ?
