Man, the f1 crash documentaries you made are TV quality, your channel could have 3 million subs and I'd still say it's underrated. Absolutely phenomenal
Yeah. For somebody who doesn't have access to people, this is about as good as it gets. The tone is correct and understands the tragedy. If it were to be made for TV, I can imagine you'd include fewer because you'd have access to people and discuss these incidents on a more personal level.
Not only was the quality of the videos amazing, but you came into them with respect for the people who died. And thank you for including the fans and the marshalls who lost their lives in this sport. I tended to avoid videos where people talk and or show the deaths from crashes because many people make it seem like a spectacle to watch people lose their lives, but you made one with such sensitivity and understanding. So thank you for shedding light on the dark history of the sport we love and showing that these can be talked about tactfully
24 hours ago, I wouldn’t have considered myself a racing fan. Now, I’m more intrigued than ever about the unity of the sport. I can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you put into these videos. It’s incredible. I can’t wait to learn more and maybe watch some races in the future!
I’ve watched docs my whole life and these were very professionally done. I know it’s good if I put it on the tv in the living room and it doesn’t look like a TH-cam video. Excellent job mate. Had to throw the mate in there 😂
Up here in our shop in Alaska we have been talking about your videos all week. Keep doing what interests you and we’ll keep watching. And I agree, I want to hear more about the evolution of the sport - how big events like crashes - made F1 what it is today.
The Jo Schlesser accident is the one that stuck with me the most. I am not really an F1 fan and I would never have heard of him, or many other of the names that have been lost over the years. Thank you for remembering these people and bringing their stories to the modern world.
I'm not even an F1 fan....and those 2 videos kept me glued the entire time. The way you put history up to and after each event was amazing. I wish there was something of this quality for NASCAR.
I mean you are kind of a rare gem. You don't clickbait, you're not hungry for money (but I think you would deserve it, because it's professionalism as its best), you wanna just talk to and with your audience and that's great. Obviously, your contents are great and if there's gonna be a part 3 I will calculate before, that I watch (not for the second time) part 1 and 2 and then the premier instantly. A huge thank to you, 'cause I think you just filled a hole in the F1 YT community. Josh Revell, Peter Brook and you make perfect videos together from the past (with the guy you mentioned, I'm gonna watch his content as well). Also, I have a remained question, which was not asked in the video. Do you wanna make a discord server for those people like you, me and other F1 nerds where we all can communicate, sharing videos etc. Also, we can help you in discord as well, as someone else said in the comment, if you need help, you can count on me as well.
Thank you 😊. Josh did a fantastic video about Jules Bianchi over the weekend which I would highly recommend you watch. As for the discord server, I may set something up in the future 🤔
I think with the crashes video there is a new f1 / motorsport yt born. Its like a secound version from you. Like if you put Videos like that in the same quality as the crash video than this will be a hell of a ride with you
I also watched that Greg Moore documentary. I was shocked how emotionally involved I got into this young kid I never heard of before in under 20 minutes. I get the same experience watching your videos. ill start googling these drivers' stories I never heard of before and find myself wanting to learn more. Keep up the fantastic work
11:20 THIS is the advice i myself follow when making videos and also tell other people when they are making content - make the stuff that YOU yourself would want to watch and actually sit down all the way through from start of a video to the end. If you are not enjoying watching your own video then other people also won't. Another big thing i appreciate about your videos that you never once cut to the camera just showing your face as you talk about stuff - you only ever show the thing you are talking about ! It will sound rude but i never ever care about how someone looks when they talk about a topic, i want to see the topic that is being talked about, not the person standing in front of a green screen discussing it ! And thanks Motorsport Madness for the amazing F1 documentaries !
I randomly came across episode 2 of the horrific crashes today wow what an incredible doc you earned a new sub thats for sure absoultly brilliant!!! R.I.P to all involved in history of f1. If it wasnt for these drivers that risked their lifes each time they get into there car we wouldnt have what we have now
21:05 Look mom, i made it into the Q&A! Glad to know that those cut crashes will make it into a part 3, also knowing that there will be more parts! Cheers!
I absolutely LOVED your docuseries and will continue watching! I find them very very well done and respectful. Quality is excellent so I can't wait to see more from you, you young sir have got a new subscriber. :D
MotoGP and rally, especially the group b era comes to mind, as being the most horrific in their early days. I also Echo the sentiment mentioned elsewhere that you have paid programming levels of quality in your production like I should be seeing this on store shelves on a DVD or something ( Okay, that dated me a little bit)
I got in to F1 recently with the release of season 4 of Drive to Survive. I've been watching the races since and have become quite fond of the sport. While looking up the accident that took the life of Anthoine Hubert to show my dad because of the similar incident that happened at the same spot last year, I stumbled across the first video. I was absolutely floored by some of the crazy accidents that people managed to escape with their lives. Romain Grosjean's crash in season 3 of DtS was so captivating I had to watch part 1 of your documentary. Then at the end when part 2 was announced I knew it was going to be a heavy episode. I waited a couple weeks to watch it. Some of those stories have stuck with me to the point I had to watch part 2 again. The way some of those horrible accidents were depicted like the guy who rear ended the stalled car with his mom watching were so tragic yet told so beautifully and with such sympathy. This wasn't a compilation of crazy moments. It was a retelling of the history of the sport and gave me, a very new fan to the sport, a great look in to why things are today while also showing some great legends of the past and what they did for the sport both on and off the track. Thank you for your great work. I am both excited and saddened for whatever incidents happen to be shown in part 3.
i started watching f1 in 2021 but also fell in love with the history so I've wanted to learn everything there is to know about it your 2 videos were amazing because of the quality and respect you gave the drivers. as you mentioned a lot of people make a list and treat them as clickbait. i also appreciated the inclusion of some not well known crashes. lots of channels will skip over guys like riccardo paletti, roland ratzenberger and others just because they aren't really well known. im exited to see the videos about the rivalries as well keep up the great work!
I never looked at your sub count but by the quality of the documentaries you put out I’d assumed you had at least a couple million. Keep on doing what you’re doing and you’ll break out in no time
My interest in motor sport has mainly been seeing my friend drive when we were younger (we are sadly no longer friends because... life). I haven't watched in years, but my old friend is competing in spain this year (not formula) so it sparked my interest again. And now I am hooked. Unfortunately I can't see the races live because I don’t have the channels I need (I don’t even have a TV). Anyway, I loved your documentary and I am looking forward to the next parts.
I really loved being able to learn from your docs, I only started watching f1 in 2021 so I don't know a lot about the history of the sport and I struggle to find ways to watch the races or learn more in an enjoyable way.
Although, as I already told you, there are no names and it is difficult to cover everything, it really gives you goosebumps especially the second one, there are very hard images and it is shocking. The effort to gather information and document all these moments on video is appreciated. I will be aware of your future projects. A greeting from Spain ;)
honestly, both episodes of this series have been the best documentaries i've seen in a very long time! although, 7:02 does make me beg the question, would you ever considering working with others if you wanted to make episodes for other series' crashes? like for example, if you aren't quite knowledgeable in nascar, why not bring a few people who are more knowledgeable in to help with research and scriptwriting? (i would absolutely be down to help out if you ever consider that, i've been looking through older and obscure nascar crashes for quite a while)
Such a coincidence. When I watched these documentaries I could not help but think of Greg Moore. I became an F1 fan by watching Senna, and his death really touched me. I needed some time to get back into racing content and actually started following the Indy CART series, where I really liked Greg Moore. His death just took all the joy away from me!
I'd say IndyCar would be solid. There's a lot of horrendous ones you wouldn't know about unless you're an IndyCar fan. Gordon Smiley for example even though it's fairly infamous. Then you've got Indy trying to send Mike Conway into a catchfence two years in a row. Then you've got something which se tup a bizarre scenario with Sebastian Saavedra qualified for the Indy 500 by drivers bumping themselves out. Katherine Legge somehow walking away from Road America. Obviously, there are a lot of big moments you can look at if you stick to Formula One. Whether it is rivalries, championship defining moments or whatever else you've got in mind.
Przepraszam że piszę po polsku ale tylko w moim ojczystym języku potrafię wyrazić to pod jakim wrażeniem byłem oglądając obie części, nigdy w życiu nie oglądałem tak dobrego materiału, dziękuję
An organisation (who I will not name) blocked Ep3 due to some footage they didn't like. After many hours of stress, I decided not to dispute it due to who I was going up against (It wasn't F1 either) & instead just blur out the footage in question & get the video back up. Luckily it wasn't major footage so its not too bad. But I'd rather do that than risk them firing back & having more severe actions thrown in my direction. I've got too many plans for the future for it to be undone now 😆
Very insightful video! Funnily enough, I was daydreaming about you reaching out to Josh Revell for a potential collab video... until you mentioned the man himself. Both you and Josh are excellent narrators. His Greg Moore video stands as one of my favourites, and I would love to see you two work together on a video in the future!
I took an interest to your videos in a hunt for information on a F1 driver who seems to be almost a sidebar in F1 racing history which is interesting if only because he is the only driver I know of who was given the championship posthumously and didn't even have a chance to finish the second half of the season. In a sport where most drivers are spending the last few races of the season fighting it out for the top position in the championship that is incredible, I first encountered references to the driver in a book that I still wish I had which was about the 1970 F1 season and over time in continue to realize how incredible that season was. The driver was Jochen Rindt who if he would have survived, makes me wonder if he would have been a force to recon with or just a one year wonder. The answer will never be known. I'm glad they have done so much to increase safety in motorsports.😢
Excellent editing, commentary & research on both videos. You may want to consider also editing them down into shorter episodes to get the attention of viewers that prefer content in 10 mins or do chunks. A suggestion for a follow up would be for accidents that resulted in a major improvement to safety in both F1 & other posdibly motorsport categories. Followed up with accidents that happened after those major safety improvements that but those changes to the test and greatly increased drivers survivability and reduced potential of serious injury. Examples seatbelts, race start procedures, fuel cells & refuelling, carbon fibre chassis, cockpit protection Crashes in F1 cars in testing could be another topic but the lack of footage could make that more challenging to present. Examples Elio de Angelas & Pedro Lamy

I loved the crash documentaries, but I didn’t really want you to be another guy pigeonholed into doing only crash videos. The section at around 7:50 is music to my ears. I can’t wait for the range of content you’ll put out on any of these topics! Oh, and also I suppose in terms of a suggestion (and I know this is pre-F1) Jean-Pierre Wimille (I think that was his name). Was an absolute bullet before F1 officially started, but unfortunately crashed at the Buenos Aires GP after, and this just what I’ve heard, some kids ran across the track. I don’t think there’s any footage, but this man needs to be talked about more.
absolute amazing videos, very well put together indeed. your voice is wonderful for narration. The respect you have for every single crash no matter if it was fatal or not towards the drivers, marshalls or those attending was very humanitarian, very respectful.
His voice is NOT suited to narration with his trouble with W's & R's. He needs to spit the marbles out of his mouth. OTHERWISE; his 2 vids were top-notch.

These two documentaries were the best I have ever seen. I've been following F1 since 1976 and your passion for the sport is without equal!
The Documentaries you have made are of a quality that is rarely seen on television. they are absolutely incredible!

Deftones shirt and F1 content. My kind of channel. Great work !
I was going to say something similar 🤘
21:05 Look mom, i made it into the Q&A! Glad to know that those cut crashes will make it into a part 3, also knowing that there will be more parts!

Indycar would be cool
give us episode 3!!!!
Kepp up the great work mate!
Your F1 crash documentaries were awesome. If it isn't too hard then you should do the same with just motorsport in general.

I wish the best for channel mate
that's honesly the first time i see ur face.
i discovered ur youtube chanel because of the 1st video of f1 crashes and i admit that i really liked ur accent and ur speaking.

so i decided to follow u.

OTHERWISE; his 2 vids were top-notch.
who are you, Voice over professional or something?
trying to pay a guy a compliment and yo' bringing it down boy!@@goofyleo3869
Are you still gonna talk about crashes that were not fatal?
Of course 👍
@@MotorMad Ok thanks
May I suggest Jacky Ickx's accident during at the 1976 United States Grand Prix East?
Deftones and f1, good combo.
Indeed 🤘
Your f1 docs are very moving. Sad reminders of the fragility of mortality. Turns are more than just corners.
Reupload please!
Your trouble with R's & W's is the ONLY negative point. You sound like you have marbles in your mouth. Especially with the word 'error'.
