My2018 grand caravan had the identical issue. I chose to use small strips of gaffers tape and had great results thx for the video!

I had exactly the same problem and the tape fix in this video worked perfectly for me. Very cool .... thanks.

Ugh. First a cricket sounding noise, now a raddle. Never a Dodge again! Thanks for sharing!

I had the same noises while driving and it stops while sitting at stoplights. I saw videos on the tape trick and it didn't work. I had been trying to find the problem for almost a year and just found it 3 days ago while working on my customer vehicle. I was laying on the ground unscrewing a screw and something told me to look at my van and I saw that the bushing was gone from around the rear shocks. So I grab it and shook it and it rattled as if I was driving. So I replaced the rear shocks and my problem was solved. I hope this help my fellow soccer moms and dads van drivers. 😂😂😂

Third time's a charm. I did the door WD-40 trick, that didn't work. I did the silicone lubricant on the window, that didn't work. Then I found your video and did the tape trick and no more noise. Thank you!
Two questions tho. Does the tape wear out overtime and do you have to replace it? Is there a better material than tape? And do the clasps get gunked up with tape and lose function? Lmk.

So far after 3 years of doing this I have found that after about a year of use. That's using the sliding doors several times a day 6 days a week it will smoosh the tape. The gunk so far has been very minimal I haven't had an issues with the lock yet. I was going to see if I could find a more permanent solution. I.e 3-D print I a sticker bushing. Long story short. I found myself thinking "what if a new striker is thicker already. I haven't yet bought a new one to see if they a thicker.

I know what your problem is. Change your rear shocks. They have bushing around the mount screws that wears out. I had the same noise and tried the tape and the tape didn't work. Same noises and no changes. But when I was working on another vehicle I spotted the problem on my own van whilst laying on the ground unscrewing a bolt on the vehicle I was working on. I would post a video on TH-cam but I don't know how 😂😂. I'm an everyday mechanic with the jobs other mechanics won't touch. 😅😅
