Lexie, we highly recommend it. It’s great material to chew on and improve as an artist as you prepare. Many people think “if you can do Shakespeare, you can do anything.” Plus…we’ve found that schools will often ask if you have a Shakespeare if you don’t bring one in initially. @@HowToGetIntoDramaSchool Hello, I’ve seen in the comment section that Yale is not accepting any admissions this year. How accurate is that? Because Yale School of Drama recently annonce that the programs will be tuition free starting from 2021-2022 and I was planning to audition this year in order to start MFA next year in Yale hopefully.

Anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com Whether or not they’re auditioning this year, there are comparable Master’s programs around the world so I don’t recommend delaying a year just because one school is not auditioning.

I didn’t think about using a Shakespeare piece for auditions, maybe I’ll have it as back-pocket monologue
