- A router[a] is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. Routers perform the traffic directing functions on the Internet. A data packet is typically forwarded from one router to another router through the networks that constitute the internetwork until it reaches its destination node

Thank you...:)
What is difference between static route using next hop address and exit interface ?
very nice explanation
Thanks sir
here we configure / not the switch ....bcz we are sending the data one system other b/w switch........
I have just started networking. Did u make any video on how to run these commands or this topic is skipped to learn by our self. Thanks
sir you are amazing
Thanks you
well clarified
Sir when to use exit interface
sir how to know where we use which cable to connect b/w router to switch, router to router, router to system and switch to system......in real life and cisco packet tracer.....
Straight-through cables connect ethernet interfaces for devices that are unalike (e.g Router to Switch, Switch to PC)
Cross-over connects interconnect ethernet ports from devices that are alike (Router to Router, Switch to Switch and even PC to PC).
These options are available in packet tracer.
How to configure static rout for intervlan routing
hope you are doing well but you are typing very fast please type slowly thank you
please do not blindly follow this video, he did not showed that he configured default gateway/router address for each pc.
Sir , when i give the ip route then i get inconsistace address and mask
R1=
192.168.10.1
10.0.0.1
R2=
172.168.10.1
10.0.0.2
Ip route for R1
Ip route 172.168.10.0 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.2 but i get inconsistance address and mask
ip route 172.168.0.0 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.2
This command will work,
Sir can you provide us your ppt file.
Sir,
what is difference between interface ip add. and interface(like gi0/1)........in ip route command?
ip route 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 10.0.1.1
ip route 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 gi0/1
Did you get the answer ?

if next hop address is used- there will be problem of recursion or routing lookup.
if exitinterface is used- arp broadcast message will be sent to know the mac add. of destination route, in that case next hop router will send its own mac add. in behalf of destination route, which will increase arp table size.
so conclusion is that both should be used.
what is default IP address and router IP address kindly define
what is the meaning Fast Ethernet 0/0 address and Fast Ethernet 0/1 address please
