I had the same experience. If standard ACL list works based on source address and also based on the direction(IN/OUT), it shouldn’t be pinging vice versa. But when I try with PacketTracer it’s effecting both direction. Could anyone clarify my doubt please?
@@misterafzal I know it's late but maybe it can help people who are new. you were not able to ping because packet can reach from 2.1 to 1.1 but when ICMP reply comes back from 1.1 to 2.1 it gets stopped at router 2 by ACL.
