I really think the operative word there is "studio". Everyone's calling their bedroom a studio these days, and I know plenty that still blow one up in their bedroom.
I'm not sure those guys know what petrified wood is. Petrified wood is basically fossilized and has turned into mineral/stone. So either that's the heaviest guitar in the world or they just used some random driftwood. "Petrified driftwood" is really not inherently a thing that exists, because typically for wood to petrify instead of decay it has to be buried in mud. It's far too heavy to wash up on the shore like driftwood implies, however it's not impossible that erosion along a shoreline could expose extremely old petrified wood that had been buried in the ground. I'm just going to assume this thing isn't made out of stone.
I appreciate when people mention smoke-free in their listings. You’d be amazed at how many people still smoke in their studios or play spaces. I’ve bought many pieces of gear over the past couple years that stunk of cigarettes. It’s gross.
Yeah, there' is a name for the type of erosion and changes that wood undergoes when exposed to water for long periods, but petrified ain't it. I think they just got the wrong term mixed up, but I suppose it could be purposeful B.S.
I’m hoping that some of the listings I’ve seen over the years are charity events that had the charity info removed after sold. Because I’ve seen so many items sold in america that should cost a couple hundred, bought someone purchased for thousands and thousands of dollars. Sometimes ridiculous 100k kind of stuff.
The "hand wired" SLO amp is obviously just a Myasnikov SLO Clone in a homemade chassis. Nothing wrong with that circuit if its done right, but they're asking about $400 too much without considering the sketchy tape-upped ground lead.
Fluff ,I believe he meant aM22 Carvin PU which is the PU FZ had in the bridge position in his 60 Les Paul great PU .I got one in a DC 145 and it screams. I've got a JB Seymour and a Custom hybrid and a Seth Lover and feel it's the best bridge PU I own. Check one out if you can.
As a current Richmond, Ky resident, I do not claim DCG Guitars as I am tired of seeing these TERRIBLE looking shits on Facebook market place. He tried doing a custom version of theStranger Things guitar and it looks horrific
The driftwood guitar would be cool IMHO. as long as the "holes", where some of the wood grain eroded faster than the more dense layers of wood, were filled with some kind of clear epoxy or acrylic so the neck doesn't feel like it's got a gazillion dents all up and down it. Whether the body ia left "holy" I could appreciate that look and I think I might well love it. I think if you associate it with leather, it looks kind of gross, but if you've ever looked closely at driftwood and you look at it with that in mind, it's kind of interesting and even beautiful in its own way. Not at $11k or whatever they wanted because of it having been featured/shown at NAMM of course. I'm just saying if it weren't outrageously priced as a one of a kind with a NAMM pedigree, I can definitely appreciate the looks but I do question how it would feel if the texture is left as is on the back of the neck. Although I do recall at least some manufacturers that were claiming benefits from their textured necks, which iirc were smooth in the middle where your thumb would be when it's behind the neck and had some texturing as you started to approach the fingerboard around either side. I'm certainly on everyone's side who thinks $11K for it just because it's unique is definitely ridiculous. I can't make a call whether it would make sense for a collector or not, but they frequently don't even play the guitars they're hoarding, so eff 'em. ;) Edit: I was also wondering if it would set off anyone who has that phobia to patterns with holes... I can't remember what it's called, but I would not be surprised if it sent people who have that phobia running for the hills.
"Who is still smoking in a studio? Why do you still have to mention smoke-free?" The reason being is because most "studios" today are not studios at all. They are actually someone's basement, garage, maybe even bedroom. Saying your house is "smoke-free" simply means you are not trashy enough to smoke INSIDE your house. The real question to ask is why we still say "studio." "Studio" implies it is a commercial business. In that case, yes. You would need to abide by state commercial laws. Around here, those laws mean you cannot smoke within 20 feet of a business's door. Some businesses have a designated "smoking area." For us, it is around the trash dumpsters, because that is where smokers belong.
"not you." Dude, stop staring at my girlfriend! That SLO clone's knobs are mounted all cockeyed, they're all over the place. Those flying resistors are fine, but the knob mounting makes me dubious of the rest of it.
Hey Fluff! What about a Show in witch you listen to new stuff of small or new Bands and give your opinion on their Music, whether its about the mixing or instrumental playing, singing or songwriting! People in the comments could suggest those Bands to you. Should be pretty interesting. Love your content btw :)
So if you take a Jimi Hendrix era guitar and get Jimi's brother to sign it what does that add to that guitars value? Honestly zero it depreciates that instrument.
$108 with free shipping? There's plenty of guitars asking $108 for shipping. That's basically a free guitar. He is probably going to put stamps on the headstock and your address on the back and drop it in a blue mailbox.
An SLO circuit with only two preamp tubes? (The third one is the phase inverter) Yeah right, an SLO circuit requires at least 3 preamp tubes. And the point to point wiring is just shoddy at best. Good luck troubleshooting any feedback and isolation issues.
My OCD triggered... Someone hasn't filled the "I am the gospel GOD" card. And there isn't even the most important modification these cards require; The one "yes" box (you know where that belongs)...
Are Hunter Biden's painted guitars on Reverb yet? Just think of the possibilities......Jimi's brother guitars for us GAS addicts there is going to be a new market for part's guitars.
Man, way to start my Monday knowing that Fluff will never forget about me...maybe you...but not me. So I got that going for me, which is nice.
Nice Caddyshack reference 😂
@@RancidAmputation123 nice catch!
Gunga La Gunga
Amps from "smoke-friendly" studio sound better than those from "smoke-free" studio.
"It has a sticker that says 'sucks' because it is self-aware." Spit out my tea. Always look forward to these. Thanks Fluff!
OMG. That really does look like the Necronomicon. Whatever you do DON'T TRY TO PLAY IT!
There's something called spaghetti tubing that goes on those bare leads on the components if you want to float them in some point to point situation.
The guy selling that first amp loves near me. He was at guitar center last week trying to get $2000 out of it. Dude was tweaking.
If he's tweaking AND he loves near you, I'd advise keeping as much distance between you and him as possible. ;)
How does it sound though?!?!
Great call on the Necronomicon guitar.
dude i just love you i watch all your videos keep up the great work
The driftwood would work in a Tele style body with binding.
Jim root Def smokes in studio
If the pickup in that Bullet Strat is a Bill Lawrence that's a pretty good deal
Lol... Samick was at NAMM?!!😅😂 that's like going to classic car show in your AMC Pacer.
0:40 that’s a piece of tonewood right there!
0:25 does that amp come with a fire extinguisher?
I dig that drift wood guitar 😅 not for $10k though… and maybe if it was in an Explorer body shape.
You'd always know exactly where you are on the neck 😅
Hey you included the Rev D I sent you bud lol I saw that and instantly thought fluff must see this lol
Awesome content - funny and critical without being mean, good shit.
The picture at 10:54 looks like Anakin on Mustafar after Obi Wan let him burn
I really think the operative word there is "studio". Everyone's calling their bedroom a studio these days, and I know plenty that still blow one up in their bedroom.
Fluff-Magic! Yes!

That Samick reminds me of the Nightmare On Elm Street where all the faces were in the flesh. 🙌
My strat is a plywood one and is still the best playing guitar in my collection. It's best to hell, and still rocks
Trogley would buy the warranty reg card from Gibson I'll bet...
I SMOKE IN ALL STUDIOS.....
I appreciate when people mention smoke-free in their listings. You’d be amazed at how many people still smoke in their studios or play spaces. I’ve bought many pieces of gear over the past couple years that stunk of cigarettes. It’s gross.
I smoke, but I don't like the smell. I don't smoke in the house, though.
That driftwood guitar made me feel itchy.
Doesn’t petrified mean turned to stone? That’s gonna be a heavy guitar lol
Yeah it's BS
Yeah, there' is a name for the type of erosion and changes that wood undergoes when exposed to water for long periods, but petrified ain't it. I think they just got the wrong term mixed up, but I suppose it could be purposeful B.S.
So, I just bought an Ibanez RG7321 off Ebay for $89.99 + $37.90 shipping, the photo was blurry as hell, I hope I didn't get screwed.
Dude, what's the URL for submitting photos to you?
I’m hoping that some of the listings I’ve seen over the years are charity events that had the charity info removed after sold. The Samick quietly whispers, Join us, Dead by Dawn, Dead by Dawn.
That last one looks like Freddy Krueger turned into a guitar
8:44 another example are the mini jazzmasters.
They have literal swimming pools.
I think Tom Delonge's mexi strat also has one if I remember correctly.
The "hand wired" SLO amp is obviously just a Myasnikov SLO Clone in a homemade chassis. Nothing wrong with that circuit if its done right, but they're asking about $400 too much without considering the sketchy tape-upped ground lead.
The grounding on that "boutique" amp scares me.
"Head turner"... Yeah... When I saw it I was overcome with the urge to turn my head.
love the landmvrks shirt
I wouldn't mind that driftwood guitar, for about $450.00. Cool wall hanger.
The Amp has a the Charm of a condemned building….
I’m surprised Kyle Bull hasn’t had his listings on here lol. People still smoke weed in studios.
The creepy Samick guitar just creeps me out, I see faces too.
Have you seen the Jimmy Hendrix guitar signed by his brother for 14k on reverb......he is in Seattle area...
Is there such a thing as petrified driftwood? Petrified wood can't float, it's pretty much stone so how exactly does it drift anywhere?
As a current Richmond, Ky resident, I do not claim DCG Guitars as I am tired of seeing these TERRIBLE looking shits on Facebook market place. He tried doing a custom version of theStranger Things guitar and it looks horrific
The last guitar is actually pretty badass. But not for $10.7k. MAYYYBE $2k.
NAh, that's a work of art. I am not about to pay $11k for it, but I can see it being worth that much to the right lawyer, ... sorry, right _buyer._
OHM made , I like what you did there lol
Can't beat the 2 cents for shipping on the last one though.
That first amp is definitely about to smoke in the studio.
That green guitar 😢😂
I question the tunability of the DCG...
I want you to do the Mudvayne Greg Tribbett Washburn WV66GT listing and see the ungodly price it’s up at.
The driftwood guitar would be cool IMHO. as long as the "holes", where some of the wood grain eroded faster than the more dense layers of wood, were filled with some kind of clear epoxy or acrylic so the neck doesn't feel like it's got a gazillion dents all up and down it. I would love you to add how much you would pay for some of these...
I kinda fuck with that Samick I ain't even gonna lie that shits a wizard guitar for sure.
I was endorsed but Spear guitars they were involved in Samic guitars back on the day, it's a joke to pay $10k plus for that
The swimming pool route. 😂
"not you." Dude, stop staring at my girlfriend!
That SLO clone's knobs are mounted all cockeyed, they're all over the place. Those flying resistors are fine, but the knob mounting makes me dubious of the rest of it.

I second this!
So if you take a Jimi Hendrix era guitar and get Jimi's brother to sign it what does that add to that guitars value? Honestly zero it depreciates that instrument.
The last guitar is a nightmare for anyone with trypophobia, lol! Looks cool, though.
The neck on that bullet might be worth a hundred dollar Bill , it’s got a rosewood board on it.
No sammick ever made is worth anywhere near that amount
Should have filled all them holes in the SAMIK with some cool resin....Then it would look nice. Not $10K ice....
How bout that ampless, rate-or-roast my rig episode???
That driftwood guitar has termites.
$108 with free shipping? There's plenty of guitars asking $108 for shipping. That's basically a free guitar. He is probably going to put stamps on the headstock and your address on the back and drop it in a blue mailbox.
I also gagged at the back of that Samick
That Samick guitar looks even worse in person. Ive seen that exact one in person.
See! I knew Fluff didn’t forget about me….
#3 might be worth it if the hardware and electronics are something you could use, and it’s all what it says it is?
For some maybe.
I don’t understand the warranty card thing. Why do people want them?
I may be mixing up segments, but if I post a ridiculous Reverb listing with a dog, does it make it NOT ridiculous or do I just get 5 beards?
3 is a hacked up Peavey Rotor. *snort*
Ive seen that samick for years. I like it alot. I would pay 1k and nothing more
The Samick looked like it had shingles.
Ngl I really like that driftwood guitar, just not for 10k
At least the shipping on that petrified guitar was reasonable 😂
That last guitar was creepy.
An SLO circuit with only two preamp tubes? (The third one is the phase inverter) Yeah right, an SLO circuit requires at least 3 preamp tubes. And the point to point wiring is just shoddy at best. Good luck troubleshooting any feedback and isolation issues.
that samick should have been filled with colored resin in those little holes
I think he meant smoke free home, his studio is probably his home.
Also, why are Mesas so much money
Somebody should make a leather-bound necronomicon evil dead chainsaw guitar.
Awesome
No smoking in my studio...vaping is fine though.😂
Is it on sale???? 🤣🤣🤣
My OCD triggered... Someone hasn't filled the "I am the gospel GOD" card. And there isn't even the most important modification these cards require; The one "yes" box (you know where that belongs)...
That samick was really cool lol but for 10k no
My ex had a lot of charm as well. She also burned my house down just like that amp.
Is this ridiculous enough to make the cut??
Dimebag Darrell Washburn Dime V…AUTOGRAPHED by Lemmy of Motörhead and Dimebag’s girlfriend Rita Haney
Probably should’ve rehoused the slo clone…(looks like crap to me)…seems average on the price.
I’ve been to the store in Georgia that has the driftwood guitar. It’s just as ugly in person lol
The way you say next listing can stop immediately
I thought that was a jesus sticker until you zoomed in saw it was that green ugly things electronics cavity
That sucks guitar made me sad
But Fluff, it's wired point to point.
Are Hunter Biden's painted guitars on Reverb yet? Just think of the possibilities......Jimi's brother guitars for us GAS addicts there is going to be a new market for part's guitars.
$10k for that Samick and you don't even get real Duncan pickups. HAHAHA
