Da staunten die Besucherinnen und Besucher der Saarbrücker Europagalerie nicht schlecht: Aus dem samstäglichen Einkaufsbummel wurde ganz plötzlich ein Konzertbesuch! Die Musikerinnen und Musiker veranstalteten unter der musikalischen Leitung ihres Generalmusikdirektors Sébastien Rouland und in der Regie von Katharina Molitor einen Flashmob mitten im Einkaufszentrum … für alle, die nicht vor Ort waren und Maurice Ravels »Bolero« live erleben konnten, haben wir die Szene mit der Kamera festgehalten. Viel Spaß!

The heartbeat of Bolero is the snare drum.
Exactly why I just can't listen to so many recordings of Bolero, if the Snare isn't right it spoils the whole piece. This guy did it well, measured and even with a beautiful slow build-up
Oboe does the profound introducing...To my opinion...and the highest moment and volume is very bursting diffently , exciting way..

Wenn ich in der Nähe von Bremen, Deutschland in den Himmel schaue und die internationale Raumstation sehe wie sie ihre Bahnen zieht, kann ich sie immer noch sehen, wenn sie über ukrainischem Staatsgebiet fliegt und wenn sie über Russland ist, verliere ich sie aus den Augen… Wir leben alle unter einem Dach!
Ich kenne Ukrainer und Russen, war auch schon in Belgorod und Kursk und all den kleinen, wunderschönen Dörfern dazwischen… mir blutet einfach das Herz und sitze hier mit Tränen in den Augen. Umsomehr freue ich mich über Deinen Kommentar!

I didn’t want it to end! One of the better flash mob performances I’ve seen. The comedic touch was unexpected and delightful!
This is so wonderful to watch. It is so heartening to see people who likely have little or no connection to "classical" music enjoying and appreciating these wonderful musicians. I am 82 years old and played solo and orchestra clarinet until rheumatoid arthritis made it impossible to play anymore. I so appreciate these flash mob concerts and wish I could have taken part in them, however they didn't exist until I could no longer play. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I was waiting for the Saxophone player to turn up as well but it wasn't to be, R.A. is such a debilitating disease that robs a person of the ability to do what they love to do, I had to stop playing live six years ago for the same reason, I haven't even reached my 60th yet (few months off still), though I was never a classically trained musician, just a DJ that played vinyl at festivals but I still miss making people dance.

The visitors to the Saarbrücken Europagalerie were amazed: their Saturday shopping spree suddenly turned into a concert visit! Under the musical direction of their general music director Sébastien Rouland and directed by Katharina Molitor, the musicians organized a flash mob in the middle of the shopping center... for everyone who wasn't there and was able to experience Maurice Ravel's "Bolero" live, we have the scene with the Captured on camera. Have fun!

Superb! One of my all time favorite music pieces. 12 minutes, fifty seconds, same drug rhythm never missed a beat.
This perfection in music. And they picked out probably the best spot in the mall as respects acoustic as every instrument sounds clear as a bell. The repartee with the conductor was a nice touch also. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Mein größter Respekt gilt dem Spieler der Snare. Immer wieder eine (für mich) unvorstellbare Leistung bezüglich Timing und Rhythmus-Gefühl. Dieser Mann ist sogar in der Lage, sich während des Spiels noch mit dem Dirigenten zu unterhalten, ohne sich zu verspielen! Grandios. Vielen Dank allen Teilnehmenden!

My hat's off to Ravel for this composition, but more so to every drummer who played it 👏👏👏👊I'm a 68 year old drummer and I'll always thank my music teacher Mr. Turo for spending the entire class that particular day way back in my high school days having us listening to percision and dynamics !!! There's a reason why that drummer is out front and in the middle 👏👏👏👏👍✌🏼

One of the first pieces of Classical music I ever heard. My parents had given me a portable record player for my 13th birthday and my sister and I discovered some old records in our attic. One of them was of Bolero. Such a stirring piece of music!! I was fascinated. What I love about this particular Flash Mob is how the orchestra slowly builds from one player to a few and then to all. I was anticipating the flute but couldn't remember whether the first instrument was a flute or a clarinet or some other woodwind. I totally forgot that, after the drum it's the cellos that join in. I would absolutely LOVE to be somewhere and experience a flash mob like this!!! How incredible it would be!!!!
