    No matter who, no matter when, no matter where, ... All of us, everybody, understands Laughter, Music and Tears, because they are the, 3, forms of communication that have no need of interpretation !

    I was actually a US traveler who caught a train with my friends in this beautiful historic train station…this heartwarming performance just confirms my belief that we are all share our humanity.
    Thank you for reminding us that 5 years is nothing in human history but this video shows that we are all profoundly connected.

    I wonder how many tiny people became musicians that day. All it took was hearing Beethoven on a CD in 1993 to send chills up my little spine. Years later I became a 1st chair trumpet player, then guitar player and singer eventually winning a scholarship to college for my efforts. Music unlocks the soul, and strengthens the mind. Hope you all enjoyed it as mush as I.

    Классика! Она прекрасна! Когда впервые оно исполнялось слушательница назвала Равеля сумасшедшим, насколько она была потрясена нарастающей мощью музыки. И композитор признался, что она была единственной, кто правильно понял его произведение.
    Мне нравится, что во многих странах мира проводятся такие выступления. В них много позитива и молодёжь прекрасна, когда делает что-то подобное. Это дети Мира и Добра. Привет из Санкт-Петербурга.

    For all of my life upon hearing Bolero there is a physical and emotional response for me. No matter how many times or what version it is the same response. To me one of the most powerful compositions ever done that had no lyrics.

    • @tarkjones
      @tarkjones 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same response to this piece. There's an extremely interesting episode of the Radiolab podcast that talks about Ravel, Bolero, and Anne Adams, a Canadian biologist turned artist who became obsessed with the piece shortly before discovering she had aphasia. She created a painting that represented the music in Bolero, bar by bar. The interesting thing is Ravel also suffered from an undetermined neurological issue shortly before his death It's hypothesized that he may also have had aphasia, and that it may have played a part in the repetitive nature of Bolero as he composed it.

    Bolero can often sound like it was written for impromptu performance. When I was a student at San Diego State as I marched through a courtyard on my way to evening class, I was delighted to hear a lone woman playing the insistent haunting refrain in the palmtree-filtered sunset on bassoon. Unforgettable!!
    So much talent echoing in such a beautiful edifice, clearly renders THIS one of the best flashmob performances EVER!!

    Que lindo! Los músicos son seres bendecidos, son Dioses! Son capaces de hacer algo tan mágico como lo es la música, que no es visible, no es palpable, pero que es indiscutiblemente real, que nos atrapa provocandonos un encantamiento que nos subyuga y nos embelesa. A veces pienso que la única forma de que se acaben las guerras en la tierra es llevando como arma, la musica! Fue muy lindo disfrutar el momento! ¡Muchas gracias!
    Beautiful! How nice! Musicians are blessed beings, they are Gods! They are capable of doing something as magical as music, which is not visible, which is not palpable, but it is indisputably real, that catches us causing us an enchantment that subjugates us and enraptures us.
