I've got the same vacuum, only mine's a year older. It recently suffered from a cracked motor casing so I wound up having to swap the casing from another, but older Elite with the grey plastic body. But it's still a fantastic vacuum, I do like the stretch hose on this compared to the plastic hose like on my Elite Supreme from the same era. However, I do believe the brush roll on yours is not original, the mid range Elite style uprights normally came with a dual row brush roll, I think that one was replaced at one point.
The hole in the bag door is for a sent tablet for a fresh smell instead of that vacuum smell you get. I think the soft bag elites have better filtration than hard bag elites.
@@AwesomeVacuums for sure. I have a "new" bag door for my elite supreme. It has hardly been used since it is so loud. I think the bearings have gone in it. however, the inside is white due to dust. Not blue like the outside is.

I love the stretch hose as well. I didn’t think the brush roll was original.

Yeah soft bag elites definitely have better filtration. I think if they added a rubber seal around the bag door it would filter better.
