Edit- the high shelf in the bathroom would be perfect for plants!!
OK, Cash, just a couple of thoughts: that backyard is amazing, and that little 'man cave' reminds me of one an elderly neighbor had. Here's the twist: when my husband and I moved next to the neighbor, it didn't take long for us to come to know that he was using it to smoke pot where his wife wouldn't know. He had a CB radio in the man shed and I have to admit that with all things involved, it evolved into a hilarious scenario. BTW, the neighbor was like 75 years old at the time, and we were like 40 or so at the time. Just a thought about the 'man shed', don't know what got me off on that tangent...oh, yeah by the way, the bagel sounded amazing, but now my doctor is on me about 'fatty liver' and now it seems I can't have anything yummy. When I was young I ate whatever I wanted and now, the party's over...bleh
I loved this one! Yes, it is a chopped house, I get it, but it is such a nice change from most apartments that are white, narrow, and with no nature around.
Yeah people have gone insane. Just the fact that it's across the street from a school of screaming kids twice a day should have made this place much cheaper. That's why it's available. 🤣
The room with the backdoor I would turn into a hobby room or office . I am LOVING the vintage charm and backyard. I prefer something like this to a NEW place any day. It has character
I really like this place! The brick and the inlaid floors do it for me. And an outdoor space is awesome! I don't see it being workable as a shared place though. Better just for one person or a couple.
OMG! They need to clean that place. At least Paint! Refinish the tub which is so filthy I wouldn’t wash my dogs in it. The backyard… needs work. A lot of pruning, cutting and de-weeding. Empty all the former tenants junk that’s lurking under the house deck and in the shed. This is a hard no. Hella no. Renter beware… place looks like it may have critters and bugs that don’t pay rent but will demand you share all amenities and food with them.
Those borders on the floors look like the layout has been changed over the years. That kitchen is great for a small size, with that long uninterrupted counter and lots of cabinets. I'm definitely jealous, my kitchen is at least twice the size with 1/4 the usable counter space and 1/2 the accessable/usable cabinet space. The mini fridge seems unnecessary though.
That's has to be where I'd want to hang my hat. Perfect for my family, we have three kids. I couldnt imagine living anywhere without a yard space providing u were permitted to fix it up. Keep up the great videos Cash! May u and your wonderful family stay blessed.
I liked your Japan videos, but I also like your NYC videos. I feel like all the comments want you to do more Japan videos but honestly I'm happy with either. Just my two cents. Also, Greenpoint is such a nice neighborhood, love it over there.
[x] Central air / [x] Built-in park / [_] Helipad Really dig this. Renovations and modernizations where necessary, keeping what was helpful for character. The clever cabinet storage is a little quirk that adds to it, that room would be best for the one who mostly needs a place to sleep and eat. I believe I'll disregard IKEA after I've made my move and instead take that fun DIY route.
Nice apt. The small room could be a home office/nursery/Florida room. Central ac is great along with all the design features - + a nice kitchen if you like red but even if you don’t. Blend in a small amt of red in couch pillows or something to blend the kitchen and living space. The back yard is great and hard to find in Manhattan. Don’t live being at street level but you can set up a security system. Also the area looks nice without all the Dollar stores which are a guide of some neighborhoods to avoid in the city. Not a 100% rule but probably an 85% rule right now. No washer/dryer so you need to consider pick up delivery for washing clothes which is really quite expensive. This could add a few hundred a month. Negatives include the tiny bathroom and the square footage is like many one beds in the city. The yard makes up for the footage since it can be a living space 8 months a year. NYC has a fairly moderate climate all but a few months. Through June this year we had no days over 90 and no real snow events that lasted more than a few hours or mucked up traffic. As things get hotter in the country the NE and New England will become more desirable. Lots of people who moved to Florida and Texas during the pandemic are freaked out by the extreme heat and humidity so many are looking to return unless they are snowbirds. I’m seeing lots of California plates here. The NE is jammed with things to do year round. That said most people aren’t back in their offices but are surfacing back here or close by. Many have purchased New England second homes which is great.
I liked this apartment. It has quirky character, which lends itself to being a diamond in the rough. The backyard is perfect after a little loving work to bring it back from being so wild. The only problem is the cost. At $5500.00 a month, that is 4 times the amount I pay in the Midwest for my mortgage.
$5500 a month rent is almost a $950k house loan. You can buy a better looking house for that or less in other parts of Brooklyn. Plus you'd get the whole house and not just the first floor. Still a ton to pay tho.
Greetings I think I heard you say that the asking price is $5,500 a month. If I heard you correctly, that's a good price for a 3 bedroom house with an amazing backyard. Perfect for a family. Kids would love it; or anyone with a green thumb & a love of nature. Love the quirks.
Uh, wouldn't exactly call it a gem but Cash to the rescue always makes anything seem appetizing! On the other side, that bagel and coffee looked delicious!
There is something bad when he makes anything appetizing, it means he would be willing to sell you any shit, as long as money is in it. Personally I wouldn't be able to sell this shit to anyone.
I love how they've maintained the character throughout the house and not having stripped it and turned it into some cold setting. It's a beautiful house.
Hey Cash, this is a great apartment. I never saw a living room without windows though. But it’s spacious & the walls & floors gives it a lot of character, which I like. Nice size kitchen & bedrooms. Love that backyard to. Cash, I think you found your apartment. It’ll be a great apartment for the family. Violet would love that backyard & it’s in a pretty decent neighborhood in Brooklyn. Yes, I think this is the one for you all👍❤️!!!
Many NYC apartments have living rooms with no windows. An egress window is required for each bedroom, so when they hack up the space into cubicles there often aren't any windows left for the living room.
If you think your restaurant is in an yuppie neighborhood you can get away with robbery! These places act like they are Park Ave.! Nice place rent s/b 1500 or so! Until landlords get real push back on rents the city will be devastated by no real people.
@@billh.1940 I live in Miami, EVERYONE has avocado trees in their backyard. Same goes for mangos. I usually get them for free. Good bread at a bakery $4 a loaf. I can make 2 avocado toast for less than $1.00 a serving. Paying $16 is insane.
@@sexysenior8934 And thanks to BlacRock buying up all realestate the people can't afford to rent or buy where they live. Maybe its time to start the next Revolution and take it all away from them like they did in France many years ago...
Although this is somewhat pricey, it might be great for your family. You did say that you need to move to Brooklyn to be close to Violet's school. You might be able to use the room with patio access as your office and give up your, now destroyed, office.. I know that in Canada, having your office in your home gives you some sweet tax benefits. If you take into consideration no office rent and tax benefits, this place may be very doable.
Really great video, always love seeing the bees or animals you include in your videos. I don't have grand kid s yet so love when you can include your cute kidos. Hope all is well !
3 "bedrooms" (questionable) and one bath. Very old and tired. The owner needs to repaint the walls and woodwork. The bathtub has a huge crack. You would need an income of $220,000 to afford this. (40 x $5500 rent)
Watching your videos makes very thankful for my 3 acres and 40x40 barn and 2700square ft house in northwest ohio. We bought in 1999 for well under 100,000.00
Great family residence, luv! Love the decor, great kitchen and the garden is very nice! Two parents with good jobs, a couple of tots and a labrador.. perfect! Cheers mate!
Nice landscape for the backyard for sunbathing and barbeque at the same time. The only awkward thing is the access to the backyard from the bathroom. The kitchen is modernly upgraded.
I love all the little details in it and those floors are beautiful. Love parquet floors! I could deal with no closets and use clothing racks I think if the rent affordable. Of course, I live in the deep South and not NYC though I certainly love visiting there. I don't believe I could afford to live there, however! I'm too much of a non-roommate person!
@@cb142 me too! Like it here ok in TN ( I hate the summer weather!) I have a cousin 40 miles North of Nzyzc in a pretty village called Cold Spring. Their house is 135 years old and 2 blocks from the Hudson River. Yes, we could put antique armoires in and make that work!
I have no idea how anybody can afford to live in New York City. $5500 a month for a decent home like this. That means a couple has to make $100,000 each, with one of those salaries being 100% dedicated to paying the rent, or mortgage. At that point you still haven’t made a car payment paid an electric bill, or bought one morsel of food. There must be some pretty pretty good jobs in that town.
NYC, has the biggest population out of every city in this country. So believe it or not a lot of people can afford to live here, and believe it or not everyone doesn’t have roommates to help them pay their rent either. Depending on people’s income ( their occupation) they can afford it & if it’s a couple or a family with multiple incomes coming in it’s not impossible. Most NY jobs pay more then the average job in another city would pay, even our minimum wage is higher then other cities. Rent is high in NYC, but it’s not impossible to afford it, even alone. You don’t rent out of your price range if you can’t afford, unless you’re looking for a roommate situation!
@@SweetDreamz0223 They aren't living alone. They're pilling on top of each other in order to cover the rent and landlords are chopping up one-bedrooms into 3 bedrooms because they know people are now willing to live that way. Couples with two incomes also manage. But, unlike 10 or so years ago, only a small percentage of people are renting one-bedroom apartments by themselves that are not rent-controlled.
As a kid, I used to love visiting grandma in Brooklyn. The noise, the traffic were all so exciting. Now, I can't imagine living like a New Yorker. The apartments are teeny tiny with outlandish prices. Huge backyard is postage stamped size. Look out your window to see filthy buildings. Probably would like to visit NYC now and then but, give me hills, blue skies, green meadows. I don't think I could breathe with so many people around all the time.
Love the video intro! =) Funny how so many of these agents never wanted to touch Brooklyn until it got stupid expensive. $5,500 is nuts. Brooklyn use to be like 40%+ cheaper than Manhattan. You can own a smaller house for that in other parts of Brooklyn. Seems there is no place left with reasonable rents anymore. Very nice apartment tho and decent size.. Owner paid 950k in 2011 and they are getting $5,500 per floor x 3 floors. They are doing well! I never liked houses where there is no alleyway though. Any work that you want done in the yard they have to drag equipment through that back bedroom. Plus no yard access to the other floors. That's a big yard to not share it.
Wow that yard is what my city dreams are made of. When you said the sq footage I gasped. I was expecting multiple floors at that price. It’s so beautiful but how can anyone afford these places without a roommate? My rent in a 935 sq foot crap apt is 1,700 and my husband and I work hard to pay that
Judging from these videos Brooklyn seems to have more places that have a bit of a spacious/homey feel to me.I'm not including that last "room".It reminds me a bit of Philly,so I would probably feel more comfortable there.Don't know how convenient that would be if I had to work outside of Brooklyn though.
I actually like the bits and pieces of the retro elements of this house.

Good comment. Random but fascinating. Thanks.
I loved this one! Yes, it is a chopped house, I get it, but it is such a nice change from most apartments that are white, narrow, and with no nature around.
No windows in the living room is a dealbreaker. Floor is nice but the lighting situation will get old quickly. Especially for 5500/month.
I really like this one! It's the first thing I've seen on this channel where I didn't balk at the rent price. I love the brick, and backyard.
That 3rd "bedroom" though. Its practically a prison cell. Not even the clever bit of storage by the door changes that.
I love the floor detail and door knobs! Backyard is a huge plus!
Hands down one of THE BEST neighborhoods in Brooklyn! 👍
Love the bricked over fireplace and the unique brick walls and floor! :)
Wow love the neighborhood and a house!!! Love it but too bad I don’t live in New York. I truly enjoy your videos!! Have a great day from Tennessee

Really dig this.
Floors in this place are BEAUTIFUL!!
Cash, you need to rent this apartment! The smallest bedroom could be an office and Violet would love playing in the yard!
Really enjoy that you are showing the neighborhood.
So many work life units.
A lovely and unique place, the backyard is awesome, love the neighborhood tour as always!
Greetings
I think I heard you say that the asking price is $5,500 a month.
That’s perfect for you and your family! Keep that one for yourself Cash!
I love how they've maintained the character throughout the house and not having stripped it and turned it into some cold setting. It's a beautiful house.
Its a regular Brooklyn apartment with a backyard! Its has everything you need so you can stay home on Saturday afternoon!
Wouldn't having that wonderful backyard be a burden to most tenants if they had to take care of it?
It's not a tropical rain forest it's done in 2 hours.
That floor! That wall! That back yard! I'm in love.
Cash, this is where you and your family should move! Violet would love the backyard!
I like the character that comes out with the flooring and that wall in the common area.
Wow. That backyard garden is 🤩🤩🤩.
$16 avocado toast... well its a miracle he is still in business with such an insane thing...
If you think your restaurant is in an yuppie neighborhood you can get away with robbery! These places act like they are Park Ave.!
Nice place rent s/b 1500 or so! Until landlords get real push back on rents the city will be devastated by no real people.
Right on white dragon 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
@@billh.1940 I live in Miami, EVERYONE has avocado trees in their backyard. Same goes for mangos. I usually get them for free. Good bread at a bakery $4 a loaf. I can make 2 avocado toast for less than $1.00 a serving. Paying $16 is insane.
That's NEW YORKERS..As you see they will pay for it..😌..🙂
@@sexysenior8934 And thanks to BlacRock buying up all realestate the people can't afford to rent or buy where they live.
Ooh, Erin seems very nice! I didn't really notice the property! ;)
I like this apartment. It has character. And it has nice outdoor space.
Really great video, always love seeing the bees or animals you include in your videos. I don't have grand kid s yet so love when you can include your cute kidos. Hope all is well !
The floors in the brickwork are killer! Not to mention the backyard.
3 "bedrooms" (questionable) and one bath. Very old and tired. The owner needs to repaint the walls and woodwork. The bathtub has a huge crack. You would need an income of $220,000 to afford this. (40 x $5500 rent)
Paint the woodwork?! Bite your tongue!!
Nice to see you back in NYC
Watching your videos makes very thankful for my 3 acres and 40x40 barn and 2700square ft house in northwest ohio. We bought in 1999 for well under 100,000.00
Great family residence, luv! Love the decor, great kitchen and the garden is very nice! Two parents with good jobs, a couple of tots and a labrador.. perfect! Cheers mate!
Nice landscape for the backyard for sunbathing and barbeque at the same time. The only awkward thing is the access to the backyard from the bathroom. The kitchen is modernly upgraded.
Loved it....and so glad you are back.
Yes… coffee, bagel with a slab of cream cheese and the train. I miss the northeast so much!❤️
cash this one is perfect for you and the family you should GRAB it!!!!
This place is a best...close but not too close..has the amenities of the big apartments..excellement Cash!!!
So glad you are back in New York
It’s a great area. I used to live there. Long time ago when prices were reasonable.
How do you do it bro? You’re giving us great content everyday! Just want to say thank you 💐
I love all the little details in it and those floors are beautiful. Love parquet floors! I could deal with no closets and use clothing racks I think if the rent affordable. Of course, I live in the deep South and not NYC though I certainly love visiting there. I don't believe I could afford to live there, however! I'm too much of a non-roommate person!
I am with you. Put in dressers and armoire. Southern people can make it work. I'm still going to stay in the south but I've got family that like NYC.
You should rent this. It has tons of room and a back garden for Violet to play in. 🙂🇨🇦
Thankyou for showing us.
Love the character of the place. Especially the floor!
There’s a lot of houses like that in Red Hook.
Believe the 6½ foot wide room is not a legal bedroom.
Yea, nyc rent is insane. I guess the renters would have to take on a few roommates. Fun 🙄
Those floors are beautiful!
Mini fridge does the same as a wine cooler for half the cost .
Cash is back @ it in NY! 🗽🚕
This place has enough space for the fam, Cash! And enough back yard space for little Violet to play in! 👒👧🏻💜
Beautiful apartment with the detailing of the brick & the floors but that walking thru the bedroom I just couldn’t do
As a kid, I used to love visiting grandma in Brooklyn.
Really makes me appreciate my 5K sq ft house in Iowa.
Great apartment, I agree with all the positive feedback from the others! I absolutely enjoy your cinematography!!
Look at those incredible floors, I'm in love 🤍
The backyard is so cute!
Ahhh! I live in green point and I absolutely LOVE it. Been eyeing two bedrooms to move to from our 1 bedroom.
