Nice job. I will be doing something similar. I will probably be mounting mine on the house wall - at least 5' off the ground. This will make servicing a little easier and keep the snow away. I'm in NJ so I have similar conditions to you.

why the massive stand and not simple anti vibration feet low down ? do you get high snow levels where you are ? if so il shut up.. uk based heat pump engineer here :L

Yes, we can get 12-18 inches (30-45cm) of snow most winters (although much less the last couple years...)

What size are the t-slotted aluminum bars? Do you have a parts list and dimensions you can post?
