easy BBQ pulled pork

  • It is easy to make the perfect pulled pork. I have used a cheap pork shoulder from the supermarket (£4.50/kg). Started by burning the fat for 10', then washed it with a metal scourer and put it back on the fire to seal it. After this, I put the meat in an aluminum container and seasoned it with salt, pepper, onion granules and stuffed it with chives, spring onions, a chili pepper and garlic. I poured some tamarind sauce and some olive oil on top and wrapped it tight in foil. I placed it in a hot bbq with the lid closed (temp 150C) for 3.5 hours. I did turn it every 45' or so, so that it cooks evenly. The result was perfectly cooked pulled pork, moist and well seasoned. It made some awesome sliders with some gouda cheese and BBQ sauce.
