@christinaherren Uptown has a lot of short term rentals if you’re looking for something with kitchen amenities as well as hotel options too. It’s a walkable area we hope you find enjoyable.
Honestly, if you’re gonna live in Sedona, it’s better to live in a rig where you can live out in the desert and then go to town for things that you need. Buying a home in Sedona just doesn’t make sense there. It’s not much to do you’re constantly in Cottonwood And you eventually start to feel isolated and the magic of Sedona just doesn’t exist the same way if you’re a full-time resident the way it does when you are visiting. Not to mention it’s expensive.
Hi @MIXEDSENSE, thank you for sharing your perspective! We understand where you’re coming from-Sedona can feel very different as a full-time resident compared to visiting, and for some, the sense of magic does shift over time. It sounds like you love the freedom and flexibility of living in a rig and being able to experience the surrounding desert on your own terms. That’s such a unique way to connect with the area! That said, we've found that for many people, buying a home here is still a sound investment, especially with property values continuing to increase. While Sedona might feel quieter or more isolated for some, many residents enjoy the peaceful beauty of the area while also benefiting from the nearby towns like Cottonwood, Flagstaff, and Prescott, which offer additional activities, amenities, and opportunities to explore. Sedona isn’t for everyone full-time, but for those who love it, it’s hard to imagine living anywhere else. Thanks again for your comment-it’s great to hear different perspectives about what Sedona and the Verde Valley! 😊
Great question! People who buy million-dollar homes here come from all walks of life. Some are retirees looking for a peaceful place to settle with beautiful surroundings, while others are families, working professionals, or investors who are drawn to the unique lifestyle and natural beauty of the area. Ultimately, it's the blend of scenic views, vibrant communities, and lifestyle options that attract buyers with diverse backgrounds and interests. Thanks for watching, and feel free to reach out if you’re curious about making a move.
