The busiest time in Sedona is March - May, and again in October - Nov. The summers are a nice time to visit, but it will be hot....about 95-105. I lived in both sedona and Santa Fe. If heat is an issue, then Santa Fe is better. They peak into the low to mid 90's for a week, then it's pretty much in the 80's for the rest of the summer. Housing is cheaper in Santa Fe. The cold during the winter is about the same for both. Taos gets colder and gets a lot of snow. Santa Fe and sedona usually get some dusting of snow, but nothing that sticks around for too long. The sunsets are the best in Santa Fe and the food is better. Sedona's terrain is prettier though. I hope this helps

Thank you for putting together this video. I'm trying to avoid high moisture states that have mold problems. Does the dryness of Sedona/Arizona avoid this?
As someone who has mold exposure and is detoxing from it I can tell you that Arizona is one of the top 10 states for mold. I would have any property tested before moving in.
I would add any comments on medical care in Sedona. Where are the emergency rooms and hospitals? What is the level of tertiary care, meaning specialist or emergency rooms? We had an injury there and all there was to visit was a separate higher-level urgent care. Elderly folks should be concerned or those with medical conditions. There might be a need to transfer to Phoenix for serious problems.
The medical care in Sedona is not that good. The nearest hospital with an ER is in Cottonwood. But if you have a serious injury, you want to go to Flagstaff. Flagstaff has a level 1 traumau center, and they are really good in general. Probably better than the hospitals in Phoenix. I go to Cottonwood for small medical issues, but still go to Phoenix if I have a serious medical problem. But the medical system in the entire state has drastically declined in the last decade. Probably in the entire country. I'll give you an example. My mom went to the ER and was admitted to the hospital in west Phoenix over New Year's week. (Banner Estrella). Supposed to be a good hospital. They found she has an abscess in her colon, and its perforated her colon, has a fistua into another organ, and is leaking bowel contents into other organ and body cavity. Infection, probably was about to turn to sepsis. I don't see any way to repair this without surgery. But two surgeons refuse the surgery, said her dementia is too bad for recovery, and they send her home. Said they'd said a care nurse to a facility. I call and beg for more attention and nothing happens. I've had the same problem with one of my own issues. Take the first round of simple tests, they find nothing, they give up. Last year I thought my 22 year old son was going to die. Urinary system shutting down, urine backing into his kidneys. They run a few tests. "Well, he doesn't have a bladder infection". Then they are done. I had to constantly nag, send him to about 5 different doctors. Finally he is slightly better but not healed. This is disturbing. I don't think this is just Arizona . But Verde Valley and Sedona is not a great part of AZ for medical care. I did a video on Verde Valley medical facilities a while back. If I can find the link I will post it here for you.

Very true about the Airbnb piece. I lived in Sedona for a year and had a neighbor who started doing Airbnb and every weekend it was a different group waking me up and making noise next-door. I really dislike Airbnb for that reason.
Hello! can i ask...im a single older woman living alone..i like space quiet and peace..looking for a small home on 5 acres or more...can you recommend a safe area ? thank you so much!

nice review i enjoyed it! ;)
Are there a lot of house spiders in Sedona? Planning on going there this fall, but I suffer from aracnophobia 😅
I have seen a few, but about the same as Phoenix
I live in Tampa and would love to have a summer home here. Florida summers are burning
Hot here today 97
@@livinginnorthernaz I'll take dry heat and no rain any day.
VOC is not the same as living in Sedona proper. Comparing apples to oranges.
The one Grocery store in VOC ( Village of Oak Creek) is called Clark’s and is way more expensive than Whole Foods or Natural Grocers , which again is in Sedona proper. P.S. I’m an Arizona native and West Sedona resident.
Thank you for the information. Much appreciated. Is it possible to connect me with a realtor. I’m planning to move there with my family.
Hi i have weird question. Can you see snakes in sedona and phoenix area on a daily basic? Heard about just wanted to check with somebody who lives there. Love your videos

Good video, very informative
What about jobs, Is it easy to find a job in the area ?
@@livinginnorthernaz it seems there are jobs up there. I was looking at the rents near that area, they are quite high. It makes it hard when a person does not knows anyone in the area. Wish had a contact there
@@livinginnorthernaz How about pizzeria and restaurant jobs ? Thank you
That's a good question. I would like to know as well. I teach yoga and do energy healing work. However, I'm afraid it's going to be competitive when it comes those types of jobs in Sedona. :/
Great video thanks
Really wanting to live somewhere warmer to live without the crime and chaos or corruption like FL or Louisiana and this area seems to ring all the bells and whitsles
Lack of water turned me off. It's not worth it. Rain is life...
Also are there a lot of farms in Sedona? I am trying to avoid high farm states due the pesticides. Thank you.
@@livinginnorthernaz Thank you for your info. Sedona sounds like a great place.
Food shopping in Cottonwood is a lot cheaper. Just about 30 mins away. I think that is wiser .
Great Video and Great Location! I am a sucker for Red Rock mountains so my trip to Sedona was a highlight. Sedona is one of the most beautiful locations in the US with absolutely gorgeous views all around. It should have been declared a National Park, so anyone living there is very fortunate.
Excellent commentary. Thank you for the wonderful insights. Decided not to come to Sedona.
Hi thanks for the data.
Thank you so much this helps
Maybe you can adopt me...Mom...Lol I'm in upstate New York atm, but I will be moving to Phoenix very soon...First stop, the new apartment...Second stop...SEDONA. Nice video, Cheers. };}~
Do you know the nearest prison to Sedona? I teach at a prison in South Carolina. I would enjoy moving to Sedona or Cotton-wood. Thanks.
@@livinginnorthernaz I wish I found you video two weeks ago. I was in sedona for 5 days. We brought my RV to Phoenix to sale, so we stop in Sedona. The problem was I had no car. We missed the gun ng trails because the only place I could park was safeway. We ended up staying at an Rv park in cotton wood and every morning we would park at Safeway and try and walk to a trail head
I hear theres lots of spiritual people in Sedona
LOTS. That's part of the attention to there.
You have DSL and satellite internet? You guys are stuck in the early 2000s.
@@livinginnorthernaz I thought I heard you guys got high speed internet now.
Are there poisonous snakes there?
Yes but I haven’t encountered any. There was a gopher snake in my garage recently
🐍snakes. U guys see one how often?
cool :)
Interested in real estate outside of Sedona, not the high prices in Sedona.
👏🙏
Over priced artwork, houses and filled with junk tourist stores! Traffic is congested no parking! Nothing to do other than enjoy the outdoors.
I know you guys love to make your tube videos, love to get those subscribers.so when all these people start moving to Sedona because you promote it, I don’t think you’ll be to happy about it
Its her career. People feel they can move anywhere, but once they relocate want to shut the door. That seems fair :-(
Interesting... I actually thought this video did a nice balancing job, rather than promoting it. It seemed very thoughtful to me.
number one big downside is all the tourist Pink Cheeks that ruins Sedona
Too many people! Sad!
I guess where you live nature is a thing the cougars made a comeback, bear, elk, moose, wolf, no snakes north of the wall
Airbnb ruined Sedona
Airbnb has ruined the entire state
