Great song! Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. Bryan has had so many hits such as "Cuts Like A Knife", "Straight From The Heart", "Heaven", "Everything I Do", "Run To You", "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone To Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All For Love" etc. He has won a lot of awards for his music.
For those who don't know this song is not about the year 1969 it's about being young & 69ing someone all summer long .And I know this from watching an interview that he done himself.
You gotta watch the sequel video Heaven with this girl. Shes listening to him on the radio in the car. He came home for a concert and she sees him playing with the old guys. He became famous doing his band thing. She got married and didn't wait for him. See?
Bryan Adams is Canadian GOLD - with a 40 year rabbit hole of music to go down. This girl is in two other videos - Heaven and Run to You. Enjoy the ride! Cheers from Ontario, Canada! :)
If you get a chance, check out the Bryan Adams unplugged album. He went around to small, old theaters doing an unplugged show of his biggest hit and we saw him in Frederick MD and the acoustics were so good, most of that performance made the album. One of the best concerts I ever saw.
This came out when I was around 8 years old…one of my favorite memories is riding on a camp bus rocking out to this on our drive to the beach, lol.loved Bryan Adams ever since!!! 🎶❤️✌🏻
Back in the day, the only way bands could practice was to find a garage or basement. No computers. Play same song over and over til it was perfect. Tape recorders were all they could use.
@@Mainecoonlady. I think we can all do the math that he was only 10yo in ‘69. Why does it matter how people interpret their view of musical art? Stairway to Heaven by Zep and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen could be many things to people now. This song has become so much bigger than just sex so I don’t know why that matters?
I've also read in other articles that it was originally Sunmer or 79 (when Adams would have been 19), but it didn't roll of the tongue as well. Plus, the cowriter Jim Vallance was 10 years older, so for 1969 would have been the right year. I'm sure there's a mixture of fact and fiction, as well as some revisionist history.
Bryan Adams didn’t solely write this song. Jim Vallance is the cowriter of a lot of his songs and he says that they were just talking about the fun of a teenager in the summer when they wrote this. But even if started as something sexual, it’s grown to something much bigger. Does it matter how people interpret it?

a collaboration with Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting -"All For One" is worth a listen
Taylor didn’t cover it but she had him as a guest performer and they played this song together!

Dudes still making music - saw him live for the first time last summer and hands down would go again he performs just like on the album

The official video for his song Heaven follows this one, picks up with the girl and her boyfriend, and a third video, Run To You follows that one.

More Bryan Please!!!!!
I listened to his entire album when I was a teen. It wasn't new music in the 90s, but still popular.
Another Canadian music Icon
Lucky enough to have been to a lot of BA concerts since 90s & this hands down is the song the crowd wants played every time
Bryan Adams and his band are legends 🔥 ❤
I love watching Pat Stewart his drummer on Drumeo. Straight fire! 🔥
Long live the KING OF CANADA! ❤

My summer of 69 happened in the 80s. God bless that girl...whew. 🙂🙃
Watch "Somebody", is the next in the story. She even got off the car
I think the film is "Creature from the Black Lagoon"

One of my favorite artists.
Love it! 🎉🎉
All the videos from the album Reckless were fire. I had the VHS of all of them. It was amazing. You will not go wrong reviewing all of them
This Gen Xer born in the summer of’69 🎉
Great song, great reaction.
Bryan Adams has so many good songs in his catalog! Check out Heaven & Please Forgive Me, Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? So many good ones
creature from the black lagoon is my vote
Great song
I wish more folks would react to a live version of this song, just because I think the old official video is a little distracting. Jmho
He's an og sir
He is not talking about the summer of 1969, he’s talking about being young & the summer of 69
Ummm according to Bryan Adams, the song is not about the summer or the year 1969. It’s about the position 69. 🙄

Classic Canadian track.
Great reaction you should do All for one with sting and Rod Stewart.❤❤
I think that movie was the first Godzilla.
Wow…. Zoom right over the head. It’s not about summer or the year 1969. It’s about the position, according to Mr. Adams.

I saw an interview with Bryan Adams and he said it was y about the summer because he was too young for it to be literal
“It’s about the numbers” 😉😉😉
@@christielysdale1815 you got it! Bc “Summer of ‘74” sounds stupid! Ha! Also he was 10yrs old knocking chicks. Dear Lord please. Haha
@@christielysdale1815 thank you! That new math stuff messed up a lot of people!
Do the live version
This can be related to anyone just pick a summer
The movie kindly looked like The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Not sure.
That movie was Godzilla
