Best part? Look at the crowd at that show. In the moment, no smart phones, living life. Those were better days. As a Canadian, Bryan is a national treasure.
Bryan is from my home province. He used to play (music) with some of my brother's friends. They all knew he would make it because he really worked at it. I remember when his song first hit the airwaves, the guys would all toast to him!! His guitarist, Keith Scott, went to school with my brother. Keith was a really nice guy, cute too!!! The Summer of 69 was a sentiment that was shared by those young guys and their dreams of being a rock star, while playing in the garage!
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in college here in North Carolina when this song first came out in 1985. I remember it well. My girlfriend and I at the time loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. My wife loved concerts as well during that time. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I can not describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. Watch again and look at the audience. The faces. the closeness, happiness. No stupid cells phones. Totally immersed in the moment. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Our 4 adult children (29-33) are big fans of 70’s-80’s music like my wife and I are. It’s great, lol. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.
You can still “be there” as he still does shows and still sounds almost exactly the same! I’ve been to 4 of his concerts and they were one of the best concerts in my life. He’s really good live.

Bryan Adams is a great Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. Bryan has had so many hits such as "Cuts Like a Knife", "Straight From the Heart", "Run to You", "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?", "Heaven", "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone to Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All for Love". He has won a lot of awards for his music.
I can vouch for the summer of '69. Having graduated in '69, that summer was indeed the best days of my life. Bryan Adams always puts everything into each song. He has a great sound. Great reaction. You nailed it.
Hi guys. Glad you did the LIVE performance for your reaction. It really showcases this song and how it seems to have an ageless vibe. He is great in concert. Thanks for the reaction. Take care guys.
In July of 1985 I saw Bryan Adams during his "Reckless" tour....I waited 2 nights and a day in line for tickets and ended up buying 14 seats in 3rd and 4th row center. Truly one of the best shows I ever saw!!
Bryan Adams knows how to put on a fun show! Saw him in the early 90s in Kingston, ON and he played to a packed stadium where everyone knew all the words to his songs. He went from a straight-up rocker to a more mellow ballad singer in his later career, and started providing some epic songs to movies. As others have mentioned, some other top tracks: RUN TO YOU; CUTS LIKE A KNIFE; STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART.
What a coincidence, I was listening to and watching this video last night! I don't know how Bryan wasn't knackered by the time he got to the stage, he had such a long way to run!! Love this song, one of my favourites, got it downloaded and the video is great. This song has got such a fab vibe and the lyrics, Summer of '69, reminds me of 1969, I was still at school! Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer/guitarist and among other songs I like are Run to You and (Everything I Do) I Do It for You. This latter song was from the soundtrack of the 1991 film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner. The song was released as a single in June 1991 and it spent 16 consecutive weeks at No.1 in the UK charts. I do remember this very well and I have to say, towards the end of that time, I was getting a bit tired of it, however it's a great song though. Great reaction, guys, really enjoyed it, take care now.
Patrick & George, you have become part of my daily routine. I LOVE your energy, interaction and reactions!! Hope you both are ok. Much love from the US. 🌿💕🌿
I LOVE this song, because the SUMMER OF '69 was a fantastic time for me, I had just graduated from Kent State University in Ohio, and my parents, younger sister and I took a month long road trip from across the United States before I had to move to Michigan to begin teaching. I was 22 years old, so now this song makes me thing of that VERY memorable summer of '69 that I had!
Bryan also sang 'All for love' with Sting and Rod Stewart... worth listen. Love your channel you both appreciate good music each in your own individual way 🙂
Bryan was 25 years old at this concert in 1984. He is from Kingston, Ontario, Canada which is my hometown as well. He has always sounded "older" than his age. He has a mature voice for sure.
I was only 3 in the summer of '69, but I was 18 when this video was made. Bryan Adams was HUGE! and a good all around fellow countryman and rock'n'roller. Cheers from the canadian Queen nut.
If it's crowd singing you like, then Green Day's audience sang Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody while waiting for them to set up in Hyde Park a few years back!
So much fun!! Perfect summer upbeat fun anthem. Sounds you might not be familiar with brian adams; if not try heaven; have you ever really loved a woman; i do it for you ; when you live someone ; and especially all for one where he teamed up with rid stewart and sting! He is the king of power ballads!!!!
Fun facts, Bryan is a Canadian boy who dated Tina Turner for a while. This is when they did their duet "It's Only Love". It is also a great video. Later he discussed the meaning of the song which I won't go into here. Just notice that the number 69 isn't hyphenated as if it referred to a year. Peace.
Hi guys. I loved your reaction! We were fortunate enough to see Bryan Adams in concert the summer before the pandemic, at a local venue only ten minutes away from where we live in Pennsylvania. He puts on an amazing show! He also has some great storytelling moments in between. If you ever get the opportunity, you should go and see him live. You won’t be disappointed! Another one of my favorites of his is Run to You. Thanks again for your reaction. You’re always fun to watch!💗💕
One of the great hits of the 80's and an iconic singer. It brings to my mind great memories of a youth of freedom as only the 80's provided. Brians Adams for my generation is iconic. Next: Straight from the heart-Live in Lisbon
We didn’t know then that these days were the best times of our lives . But it was us , the people growing up & not the calendar that made these days great .
This song makes me want to hit the beach with friends!! So much energy with a great nostalgic feeling, wonderful memories🍂🍃I remember this playing on the car radio while cruising down the highway. Thanks so much guys for reacting to this live version!💞
Hi guys! Helene here. In its nostalgic vibe, this reminds me of some of Bob Seger’s songs….especially Like A Rock…and Jackson Browne’s Running on Empty.looks like you haven’t done Jackson Browne…….you dudes really should correct that. 😉. One of the best singer/ songwriters ever.
During this same time period (the 1980’s) my husband and I were teenagers- best friends, growing up together, already enjoying our favorite band RUSH, along with lots of other ones, and just being kids having fun in North Carolina. One time we were looking for something to do and decided on the spur of the moment to go see the Bryan Adams concert. We weren’t even big fans or anything, but we thought WTH? The concert was just like this one.. fun and carefree.. and by the end of the concert, we two best friends found ourselves holding hands and forever changed into a couple… 40 years later, I am typing this to you as he is beside me still.. spending the evening with me tonight. Our fave BA song: “The Best Is Yet To Come”☺️
This is a female vocalist that will 🤯blow you away. "YEBBA - My Mind (Sofar NYC)" She has got a pretty good start on her collection and would be another great rabbit 🐰hole 🕳 she has some really great covers also.
Bryan Adams has a bunch of great fast rock songs, but these three beautiful ballads by him all went to No. 1 on the pop singles chart: "Heaven" (1984), "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" (1991 ... from the Kevin Costner movie "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" soundtrack and earned an Oscar nomination) and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" (1995 ... from the Johnny Depp movie "Don Juan DeMarco" soundtrack and an Oscar nomination).
Love this guy. Sting, Rod Stewart and Bryan teamed up for a song used in The 3 Musketeers- called “ All for one”. Definitely worth checking out even if you don’t react.❤️🎼🎶❤️😎
I've seen the Rolling Stones in concert about 15 times. At one show in the 90s, Bryan Adams was the opening act. I'm still stunned by what I saw. They we're so powerful and completely took me by surprise. They completely rocked the Anaheim Pond. The entire building was shaking. It was a much more hard rock oriented performance than this one.
Saw him live, he opened fo Journey Frontiers Tour. Rick Springfield's Me and Johnny has the same vibe. A young Australian rocker instead of a young Canadian. Good times.
Would love you guys to listen to Gerry Rafferty 'Baker Street'. I guarantee both of you would be blown away by the music and lyrics. One you would never forget.. Thanks for sharing your time with all of us.
