    This kind of understanding is why I love getting my bike tuned here. When it’s tuned right it makes the cornering experience amazingly smooth, like it’s a completely different bike. Thank you guys for all that you do!

    Love the videos. I gain more and more confidence in handing you guys my ECU and feel like it's going to come back as good as it can be. Is the ECU of the MT-09 the same as my 2024 XSR900/same tuning as this extensive R&D.

    I have a Rebel 1100 manual and the engine braking is to strong which makes the bike twitchy. I live in a country that enforces emission controls. I am not the only rider that complains about engine braking on this bike. So I believe if you started a service tweaking engine braking mapping you would have interested customers.

    There's a presumption here that the stock engine braking is a desirable target.
    While most wouldn't think about it at all many who do would consider it to be excessive. That excessive engine braking might be acceptable for some tracks (not all tracks) but on the street it's actually quite desirable to reduce it to a more sensible level.
    But points for mentioning it.
    For someone coming from high revving inline 4's the amount of engine braking on the mt09 might be undesirable. I presume that at a minimum the customer gets to have the discussion with you about what's best for them.

    Try and get your bike stopped with f*cked up decel...
    With this you'll immediately recognize tuners that only focus on straight line performance on the throttle.
    Do you guys plan to expand to brands like KTM?

    Do you take this deep dive in the decel tuning for your mail-in ecu flashes? Im deciding whther or not to dyno my 2018 mt09 or shipping my ecu out to you guys.

    Quality stuff, 2wdw! Thanks for informing the customer base, without divulging any compromising detail. There are some of us out there that love to hear about this stuff.
    The 2024 MT-09 updated from Yamaha, however, seems just as depressing as it was exciting. The engine power seems to be going in the wrong direction while the 2 and 4 cylinder competition keeps seemingly adding power in this class.

    Hey, I’m not very familiar with bike tuning for MT09. I’m looking at purchasing one of these bikes in the near future and am wondering about two things: 1) can you remote tune these bikes? 2) if so, what is all required, besides the dyno obviously, to get this done?
    Huge thank you in advance

    I am fully sold on you guys tuning my 24 MT-09, but first i just need to pick which exhaust i wanna do ha so that gives me (and you guys) time to dial in the tunes for all the possible combos!

    • @WheresWagner
      @WheresWagner 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bradymcrae7351 I have been watching every dang video I can trying to decide haha. I don’t need anything that loud just to be loud if that makes sense. I want some nice tone that’s louder than stock but not going to get annoying when I’m riding all day with others

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What I find more personally important than anything else is TONE. Loudness is obnoxious, but quality deep tone without all the crappy harshness and static often in modern systems is hard to find. One of the main reasons for that is the short, stubby nature of muffler designs in recent decade or more. Why has this happened? Cost mostly, because of the increasing size of Catalytic converters, the design of "slip on" mufflers has gotten a lot shorter and smaller due to all the muffling that the CAT is already doing. Why would anyone buy a $450 muffler that ends up making the bike sound exactly the same loudness and tone as the factory muffler?
      But they understand "for closed course competition only" customers, they need to design a catless header/mid-pipe but don't often provide proprietary longer/larger mufflers to match that catless system, so the end result is they simply stick the stubby short "slip on" mufflers onto the "full system" and it's stupidly loud, harsh, staticky sounding and lacks good tone. Those stubby mufflers were not designed to quiet down a system without a cat.

    Wow. This a truly interesting video, full of knowledge and passion for your work. I ride a Triumph Trident 660 in Spain, EU which is known to have a very soft and progressive throttle map. When i close completely the throttle, this machines behave very neutral. In fact MPG while engine braking in long downslopes makes me think it injects fuel with closed throttle. It is a pity for MPG but perhaps is a side effect of this smooth programmed engine. Very grateful of your vid.

    I've actually had moments where I would still accelerate with no throttle after my flash.
    Now I instinctively hit my brakes cause staying in high gear keeps too much unwanted momentum

      @MrBCRC 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They've always been effectively identical from a tuning perspective. It won't be until the SP is released and it's ecu cracked by woolich that anyone will be able to confirm.
