  • Hello! and Welcome to my channel. Today's video comes with an apology for my failure to upload last week. I have a lot going on and some really exciting news(if anyone actually reads these blurbs lol). I have been invited by Michael's to participate in a Makersplace promotional gig through the summer at local Michael's stores! I submitted my work and inventory which was accepted! I am a little overwhelmed right now because I have paintings to coat and apply backing to, frames to build for both tiles and canvases, a LOT of resin coating to do, along with a huge amount of backend work to complete. I've never participated in an art fair or craft show so this should be interesting lol.
With all that being said, thank you so much for your patience. I do have a bank of videos that I'm prepping as shorts and long form but finding the time is a challenge. There is a lot that goes into growing a channel and I appreciate each and every one of you for subscribing and watching my content. It's going to be hectic through the summer but I will do my very best to get at least one full length and 2 shorts up every week.
Soooooooo, in this video, I am having some fun and letting the paint just flow. I sped up a large portion of the video just because it would probably get boring for you all. I'm working through the logistics of something I've never done before and couldn't find any videos of from others to collect tips and tricks. I learned a ton, had fun and ended up with a crazy piece of "art" that's completely covered by tube paints lol. It's okay though! It was a blast and a an experience I can add to my "did that" list. I try to try everything I think of and see how it goes.
I will do a quick rundown of materials used in case you'd like to give it a try too.
The frame is 24"x48" so it took 12' of 2x2 lumber, 8-1.5" wood screws plus some gorilla wood glue, a 2'x4' sheet of standard pegboard from the home improvement store, Kilz2 primer all over(2 coats) and a coat of Rustoleum gloss white paint on the facing side only. It was a super easy build that almost anyone could figure out!
All paints were mixed with my own pouring medium which is 1 part gloss gel medium(artist loft brand) to 4 parts American Floetrol. I used a variety of paint brands and added enough to achieve the depth of color I wanted. I also used straight pouring medium to move the paints better(refer to video). If you have questions about anything in the video, let me know in the comments!
All of my art projects are for sale(unless I state that it's for personal use or a commission) and can be purchased on my Michaels Makerplace Storefront here: www.michaels.c...

Yep and I have my tube paints hung already and you can't see any if it🤣🤣🤣
Although, using pegboard to do a pour would pose some interesting challenges 🫠🤣
