  • This is a fairly basic tutorial, but my hope is that it teaches you something and inspires you to try fluid art. I hope it answers many of the most commonly asked questions.
    I use acrylic paints mixed with Floetrol and water to a fluid consistency. This is my first tutorial and I plan to create more. Let me know in the comments what else you would like to know.
    Thank you for watching! 💕

    Lovely painting, Amy. Thank you. A couple of questions: Where do you sign your paintings? And what medium do you use? When you seal with resin, everything is shiny. Does the resin fight the metallics so that you don't notice the sheen in the metallics? Thank you.

    I have a query about the hairdryer. I bought it from Amazon but it only blows hot air. Is that what yours does? If so, how does the paint not dry out as you’re blowing, cos mine does! I’m in the UK so I’m wondering if my hairdryer is different. It looks the same! 🤷‍♀️ Thank you for your help. I’d love to make a bloom like yours, it’s beautiful! 💕💕

    • @Rainbowsandswirls47
      @Rainbowsandswirls47 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Marian, I'm also in uk and just bought the blue hair dryer, there is no cool setting. I think the dryer has to be moved fairly quickly and not kept on 1 area for more than 3 seconds. Some of my paints were thicker and dried too quickly before I got the shape I wanted. Up to now failed but will try again with thinner paint, videos I've seen doing Dutch pour, their paints look very fluid when the dryer is used and have more time to work the petals. 😊

  • @karenrichmond5692

      @amyyysartistry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes!! Great questions!! I am hearing all of these questions and working on more videos (I'm new to recording so I'm slow lol). I do have an Amazon Recommendations list that has everything you need to get started. Are you asking about resin only? Or from the beginning (painting) to the end (resin)? For the hairdryer, I use cool on the larger one and the smaller one only has one setting (it's not hot or cold - very neutral).
