Well how fun was that! Jenny you were smart to be the passenger. I grew up with snowmobiles. It definitely takes a time or two to get used to driving one. But they are fun. Sledding is a lot of fun. Just walking back up the hill isn’t so much. ❄️ 🛷☃️💗
O, wow, sliding down the hill. It's my cup of tea since I was a little girl. It is so beautiful in Finland. You guys have more snow than we, in Ottawa this year. Great❣️
That sounds like such good memories you have!♥️ Finland is gorgeous. We will actually be coming to Canada this year in the late summer! We can't wait to get some poutine and iced capps at Timmys! 🤤
We are going to start hosting group trips around the world! We would love if you could ever join us 🥳 we are hoping to start with Costa Rica & Iceland!
Ready or not, Finland's longest toboggan is in Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort: "Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort Aurora Tobogganing Saariselkä" and "Tommi Ulmanen Saariselkä Pulkkamäki 1800m".
@@peketee2278 Sorry, it's a brain shortcut of course :) you are probably as annoyed to hear that you're Scandinavian like Poles are to hear that we're Eastern Europe 😅 Thank's for bringing it to my attention 😁
when you hit a treestump at 100km/h your enthusiasm will be seriously curbed ;) they can be fast, but tourists generall have no idea how to handle them or where to go fast and where not (snow consistency, frozen lakes, hidden treestumps, deer crossings, other crossings...) These tours in lapland usually have a native (saami tribesman maybe) driving ahead. As a nature lover i am seriously annoyed at the loud engines. Going in a dog sled is more my thing.. while they race you through the snows all you hear is the wind and the snow...
We were in Saariselkä last winter driving snowmobiles, have to say that the tracks in there are really great! When you go driving solo and go a bit faster, you should not wear so much clothes cause you will get hot.
Once again you had a great time. And the trees were covered nicely with snow just like in postcards. Did you ride to the top of the fell Kaunispää? I haven't riden a snowmobile for ages. Actually I don't even remember when the last time was, but very long time ago.
The trees were so beautifully covered with snow❄️ We did ride to the top of a mountain, but I do not recall the name of it, so it is probably the one you are talking about!!
@@JacobandJennyTravel I guess it was that because it's the highest one just next to the Saariselkä "town". There's a restaurant on the top. Kaunispää means literally "beautiful head" and that it really is!
Also, the safari rides make the routes very bumpy. If you head to another direction (Laanila / with smoke sauna) from the gas station, the route is smooth as silk and easier to handle. 😎
While visiting Saariselkä we always go to Restaurant Teerenpesä. Easily the best Poronkäristys and reindeer carpacchio ever, highly recommended! And the cloudberry drink ”Suonsilmä”, yam! 🥰🤩
It's so weird as a Finn to hear you say 30 times that it is cold. It is the winter yes it usually is. 😆Not a negative comment just a funny observation.
You guys are amazing. I love your amazingly positive attitude towards life. Bless you. 🙏🥰
Your comment made us smile! Thank you so much friend :)
In Ruka you can rent a stiga drivable sledge and take condola on top of the downhill ski and ride sledge down.
Ruka and Rattikelkka in youtube.
So fun! I grew up snowmobiling here in Michigan, such a fun winter activity. That would be so cool to do it in Lapland!
That is awesome!! It is so much fun! We had a great time ❄️
Looks like some epic snow adventures. We're glad that Jacob's eyes weren't permanently shut closed! 😂
Hahaha it would have been a little tricky to drive the snowmobile like that!😂
I just love your positive mindset about well.. everything you encounter. But of course, I love to see you enjoying your stay with us In Finland. 😊
Your comment is so kind, thank you for your encouraging words :) Finland is amazing and is one of our favorite places ever🇫🇮

Yeah I would have been a terrible driver haha!! Controlling a sled is much better for me hahaha❄️ That is so fun you grew up driving snowmobiles!

Fun fact: On ice (lake, river or sea) there are no speed limits. Fun start's at 60 mph
in fact, the speed limit is 80kmh
In fact, the maximum permitted speed on ice is 80 kmh (about 50 mph) and even there on the official route 60 kmh (about 40 mph).
That is awesome!! Thanks for the information :)

And You should use chairlift to get to the top.
It looks amazing!! Thanks for the recommendation :)
First time I got into snowmobile, I waited about 3 seconds and full send to 140 km/h :D
That sounds so awesome!! Hahaha
that was another nice video,it looks like you had a really fun day!
Thank you so much :) we had a great day!!
I'm envy! I want to try it! People from Scandinavia are so lucky 😅 Great video ❤
useless information I know, but Finland is not part of Scandinavia..

@@peketee2278 Actually around 20% of Finland is part of Scandinavia. We like to call us Nordic country.
Hihi! Do u highly recommend safartica tour agency ?
Yes it was a great time :)
Those things go super fast!! If it was me, i would have wanted to go full throttle

Next time you must try! Its fun to drive snowmobile👍
I recommend that you drive the snowmobile alone, then controlling the sled is easier and more comfortable than riding with a passenger.
I will have to try and drive next time!! By myself haha! Thanks for watching :)
You could have just rent one from Neste gas station for half the price and triple the speed. 🤪 glad you had fun. 👍

Jacob clearly did not mention to her that the handlebars are electric heated..
Hahaha I just asked him and he said he didn't notice his gloves were so thick 😂 that sounds great though!
What was the temperature? In Celsius ?
I am not sure I don't think we checked this day, but I would get around -15C!
I like snowy
It is wonderful ❄️
I can see you guys never slide sledges as a child 🤣
Yeah we never did hahaha, we both grew up in the desert 🌵

Hahaha😂🥶 it is a lot colder than the winters we are use to! Thanks for watching :)
As kids me and my friend used to go to the forest with snow mobiles to smoke tobaccos so we wouldnt get caught by parents 😂
Hahaha!! 😂 that is funny!
