It is always a pleasure to look at a route that you're familiar with in real life and saying to yourself: "I know where that is! - I used to watch trains there." This is one I think I'll get - just hope my PC is can handle it at a decent frame rate.
Those actually ARE the MSTS 2 dash 9's. After MSTS 2 was cancelled, Streamlines modified the MSTS 2 locomotives to make them usable in version one of MSTS. The MSTS 2 GEVO's are also included as well. The BNSF Scenic Sub V2 has more MSTS 2 locomotives that have been modified for use in version one, including the SD40-2's.
Those locomotives are NOT from jointed rail, all the equipment that is included with this route was made by Streamlines. this is for Microsoft Train Simulator, jointed rail does not produce content for MSTS.
The worst part is, that's a GP60 which JR doesn't even offer... Reggie's Trainz recently made one, heavily using JR scripts and assets, but JR itself hasn't made one, and they definitely hadn't in 2013 when he made this comment.
Yes, the Amtrak stations in Needles, Flagstaff, and Winslow are included. SLI has also combined the route with their Priority traffic and 2012 Amtrak Southwest Chief sets so you get more equipment to run on the route that was not originally included when the route was first released. They've done the same thing with their other routes as well, adding more equipment that was not part of the original release.
Get Run 8 Simulator, you can get the Seligman Sub there. It's pretty cool.
I like how you used Stairway to Heaven which used in the scenic sub one review. Kept in the theme and really capped it off.
After seeing how Seligman has evolved since it's first version, I'm thinking about picking this up now. And yay for bloopers! We've missed them :D
If you don't have this route, get it. You will not be disappointed.

Good video yes! Yes! Yes !
wow streamlines made those c44-9w's look like msts 2's dash 9's

woah, I saw the real bnsf 5020 lol
This is MSTS, not Trainz. The stock shown is from Streamlines and comes with the route. You could say Streamlines is the JointedRail of MSTS, though.
3:47 you got these from jointedrail! i love how they make them look so real

I dont think you need winter textures out in the southern US desert.
***** mostly because of how wide open it is..
Is the Canyon Diablo bridge modeled? It's located between Winslow and Flagstaff, AZ.
yes, the bridge is modeled.
Wish they would always say which sim is the basis for the review.
Awesome!!! How can I get started? What computer do I need etc etc?
Thanks for sharing.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 18 WHEELS OF STEEL MUSIC LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
How did you get widescreen for MSTS?
It looks good, but where are the shadows?... niether the trains or the highway traffic have shadows.. it kills the realism for me....
Does the BNSF version include all the Amtrak stations along the line as well?
